I'll never forget seeing Ochocinco break down after scoring the TD against the Chargers and pointing to the sky. Chris Henry's death was both tragic and heartbreaking, and it's one that will forever be hard to accept.

His fatal accident happened about 1 mile from the apartment I lived in at the time. I couldn't drive threw that curve without thinking of him and feeling the sorrow. He was in Charlotte, NC at his girlfriend's parents house. He was out because he had broken his hand. He couldn't hold on to the back of the truck with the one hand. Just very sad.

I live in the oakdale neighborhood in walking distance from where this tragedy occurred and I think about it sometimes how negative moments can have eternal effects. That curve in the road where he fell has always been dangerous even after the recent road work “improvements”. Blessings to his family and friends, rest his soul.

This one hit harder than usual for me and I'm not even sure why. I think the camaraderie between Chris and Pacman is inspiring. And when you said what do you see when you look at this picture: a good person, a bad person, just a person? Man....we are all just humans and we've all done stuff someone else would look down on.
Your storytelling does justice to these misunderstood athletes and icons. Thank you!!

I went to school with Chris Henry. He was one of the nicest dudes I’d ever met. Hated when I’d see him get burned in the media and when he died it was heart breaking. I’ll always cherish the memories I have of our interactions. He was not the guy he was portrayed to be in the media.
