- The story of the woman at the well is a lesson from Jesus about how to do ministry. Jesus leads with His humanity and His neediness, is curious about the woman’s life, and exposes her sin to reveal her need for God. Jackie and Preston talk through common preconceived ideas about this story and how we - like the woman - can be set out on mission after simple yet impactful encounters with Christ.

I'm literally the woman at the well. I had multiple partners and Jesus came for me unmarried. He showed me how what I thought was fulfilling me left me emptier. I met Jesus in a huge way in lock down and I can't deny he is God!!! I will not serve another God but that one. Now I proclaim him to anyone that will hear.

My story too! Isn’t God good?! It’s like I was a broken leaking vessel that He has me in the potters house shaping and molding me. He has sealed the leak completely and continues to work on my heart and character. The battle is not to lose that fire by complacency.

You are NOT the only one who gets excited when we read that! I also get excited that he chose HER to go reveal the Messiah has come, not one of his disciples! It always kind of gets me that we have gotten our impression of Jesus so wrong for so long,when it's revealed pretty clearly in the Bible. He is pure love, restorer of dignity, and would not be a good politician! lol!

Remember yall our Brother Preston told us that he was hungry before the podcast started. My hubby is the same way, feed him first and you get what you want out of him. Low Blood sugar will cause him to go blank, in his thoughts. This episode was beneficial to me. I love how yall keep it simple. The GOOD NEWS aint that complicated.
This is my favorite podcast so far. I have always had so much guilt with this passage. I love Jesus showed his humanity to be relatable FIRST. Then he began revealing himself. We serve a good, loving God who sees us and loves us where we are. ❤

It was important to share the revelation that "at the end of your rope (your weakness), there you find God". The strength of God is made perfect in our weakness - 2 Corinthians 12:8-10.
I heard once that in every marriage there is an impressed spouse and an unimpressed spouse. You can totally tell which one is which in their relationship and I love it 😂😂❤❤. I'm always blessed by the message they bring ❤

I highly appreciate Jackie's passion. I was getting excited in my room and passionately listen. I gotta run this back to make sure I didn't miss anything. I'm not in ministry but I have been becoming close with my coworker who is now my friend (who is christian) and we often have impromptu Bible studies at work because she doesn't read her Bible, but she knows that I do and I am able to enlighten and teacher about God and the Bible. I would one day like to host a Bible study but just don't know how. Yall are so dang helpful you just don't know.

Jackie, could you please, please write a bible study based on your teachings on Hagar and the woman at the well? I am a sexual abuse survivor, and I have been wanting to go through a bible study that teaches us how God restores our lives after abuse, promiscuity, etc. I think it would be a study of restoration. Please pray on it. We need it.

This reminds me of EV Hill's sermon, "GOD at His Best." God, the Creator, condescends and hears the cry of each and every one of His creatures. He steps down and answers our cries. He loves to reveal Himself to us. He never ignores a heart that genuinely seeks Him. Hallelujah! 👍🏾

this wasssss soooooo gooooooood to me! Thank you for this episode. I recently picked John up again for the seven leventh time and I got stuck on chapter 4. Jackie, you literally answered every question looming about the strange responses of Jesus. I couldn't understand how it fit together until this moment. IT WAS ALL TO REVEAL HIMSELF. The part resonating with me the most is you've had 5 husbands...not to necessarily state that for shame but through and through to reveal I am the Christ, I see you and I know everything. I am not simply a Jewish man, I am so much more; I am HE! Im praying to see Jesus and his nature this clearly in every book I read. to learn to sit with the text and zoom in from 66 books to one verse in one chapter and to understand what God is saying/revealing...I cant wait to do ministry differently....I hunger for this level of revelation that I may know Him. Thank you. Do you have any videos on how to study the scriptures and to interpret as God gave inspiration to write them?

Only 16 minutes in but this immediately made me think of scripture James 5:16... This gave it a whole new meaning for me. Confessing your sins could save someone who may be lukewarm or nowhere near the faith. Amen.
