Ballet dancers are athletes who need an especially strong core as their centre of gravity, since all movement begins from there. The core stabilizes the legs and mobilizes bones, and male dancers in particular need strong core muscles to perform grand lifts and impressively high jumps. This engaging strengthening workout emphasises flexibility and extensive range of motion, especially in the back, hips and ankles. We can all definitely use more flexibility!
