Cascadeur is becoming a powerful tool not only for making animation but also for editing any. It features a set of powerful tools that can help you edit and make changes to any baked animation where each frame is a keyframe, eg, any animation from asset stores or mocap. It introduces the Retargeting tool which works as a simple copy/paste, Animation Unbaking and enhanced AutoPhysics which, above all else, now allows the character to interact with the environment!
All of that, together with an already mighty set of tools such as Interval Edit Mode and Tween Machine, just to name a few, will allow you to make any changes, fixes and enhancements to any animation in a comfortable keyframe fashion

I am personally not a huge fan of this because it gets rid of the fun in animating I love the struggle of animating, but it’s great for people who wants to get things done quickly so i see why it’s loved
@@Som3D From an animator perspective I totally understand that, me as 3d designer I enjoy the process of making everything by hand, but I am stupid with animation lol, so I am not against such tools for help :D. to be honest as long as the artist still have hand on the process it should be ok, regarding animating or modeling, as the human will be the art director and focus on the actual animation, I don't like the software that does everything automatically .
Honestly everytime I try to animate in Cascadeur it feels more like I'm fighting the AI to do what I want to do, instead of the AI actually helping me. Plus it's broken, mirror tool doesn't mirror everything correctly, sometime the view gizmo doesn't seem to respond for some reason etc ... But it's obviously only my opinion ...

Like that we could animate fight between cgi charcter and real life actor, if we couldn't see the position of orignal footage we can't accurately animate the charcter for fighting a real life actor, so please add camera and make it import footages to animate fights and then import that camera to blender for accurate positions.😊

i install the app but the user interface is gibberish text i wish i can add a screen shot of what it is showing and the mac version wont install

Maya has been around for a very long time. It was first released in 1998, and became industry standard because it was well supported, extensible and suited to use by studios. As a result, whenever a new development in 3D animation technology emerged, either it was built for Maya or it was implemented into it with a plug-in or as a native feature pretty soon after. It’s only in more recent years that its dominance has really been challenged.
Cascadeur has some really cool features that are unique to it, but it’s also missing a vast amount of the stuff that Maya, or even Blender has. This is because it’s focused on particular use cases, like animating stunts and cleaning up mocap. Cascadeur isn’t meant to be a complete animation solution. It’s meant to supplement other tools.
The ai doesn’t literally animate for you in most cases. I’d suggest still learning 3D animation the normal way, at least a bit, so that you can really get the most out of these tools. Cascadeur doesn’t ‘know’ what you want. It can’t read your mind and make the animation you have in your head. What it can do is take animation, poses and keyframes that _you_ give it, and adjust them to be more accurate to real world physics and anatomy. So if you’re animating in a more cartoony style, or creating a subtle, emotional character performance, it won’t be as much help to you.

No free FBX export? So I'll keep the previous version too. A program without FBX exporting is useless unless you add the USD option. So, that's the end of that "under 100K it's free". Well, your house, your rules.

@@BustinNutz Nope. This new version doesn't support FBX or any other file extension, only casc file. You can try the past year's version if they also didn't get rid of this exporter.

99 a year aint bad for a unique animation software. And you can practice with the free version which is nice

For what it’s worth, 99 dollars isn’t for fbx export, it’s for commercial use of Cascadeur in its entirety and represents an incredibly cheap price point for what Cascadeur offers. They have to be able to stay in business…. Yearly pro user here, well worth the money.

Don't just make a demo, make it into a tutorial directly. Learning is really difficult, and the documentation isn't well-written either.
The worst part is that we can't customize our own characters. Has the hunchback bug been fixed?
