just putting it out there against ruiner nergi, the alatreon commandment with max dragon attack and blast coatings proc almost every two to four shots, because he is three stars to both dragon and blast. It is goddamn beautiful.
For anyone interested in actually trying this, don't listen to this suggestion. When you put blast coating on your weapon, it doesn't do any elemental damage, and you lose a huge chunk of your damage. Either use the bow as it is or use a high raw bow with the blast coating, never this combination.
@@robingoodfellow8097 Does it? Sorry I didn't know, I just figured because it proc'd a lot and broke pieces often, that it was good. then when you don't have blast coating anymore you still have your dragon element. Sorry if I mislead anyone with my ignorance.
@@robingoodfellow8097it works in this case because breaking nerg parts makes the fight easier. Generally, no but this is case specific. Ideally I'd run full blast, me personally.

remembering how bow was the best KO weapon in base game, since iceborne really nerfed the KO potential of arc shots
You can still KO stun lock monsters, but you need at least 2 bows doing the infinite. Otherwise a solo bow can get stun lock only 2 or 3 times on iceborne. Without impact mantle!

Well you can mount using the stab so it has a LITTLE use

@@DripHakumen the melee stab does mounting damage, as well as the one in the air. It's not gonna mount as easy as insect glaive but it'll do the trick. I recommend using glider mantle (use whatever decos u want on the mantle) clutch claw onto a monster - immediately drop off and you'll be put Into glide, glide forward near the monster until you're close enough to do the air melee which is triangle on ps, y on xbox and I don't know what on pc. Repeat this clucth and drop processes till u get a mount.

The bow is the best of both worlds getting sever and blunt out but i didnt know the bow charge plus existed that makes damage even better

Nah Bow is super difficult to learn and its extremely deco reliant. If you don't have good decos, your damage is shit. Since Mighty bow can be melded it shouldn't be too bad tho. If you wanna learn how to get good at bow, I'd recommend looking at some bow speedrunners. This guy only used dash dancing, which is honestly pretty bad but its what most players do, but there are a fuck ton of bow combos to learn to maximize stamina efficiency. Its probs the most technical weapon in the game so don't feel bad if you're not good with it yet, I suck dick with it too.

U need to tenderize to do dmg and even then elemental dmg can carry cuz even on an ass elemental hitzone you will still do at least +13 dmg to whatever raw dmg Ur doing WITHOUT crit elemental

To me, using the Bow is like being Legolas, yet more epic.
Basically strafe then power shot the monster and ora ora ora the monster's face with it until he ded. Make sure to get hit a million times during the recovery animation though.
Or waste all your stamina on power shots until empty to ensure that you got none to roll.

@@JumalaPlays yes. especially if there is a sticky user in the team. if it hits the monster before the sleeping animation sticky will wake him up. also also, randoms doesn't care about the animation. but when i spam the sticker it actually works 99% of the time.

Step two: knock the monster down
Step three: Thousand Dragons/Dragon Piercer if you don’t have Piercing Pods

Do you unlock more moves later on in the game? I just got the high rank missions and cant do most of this stuff
All the moves are unlocked from the start, they are just a bit hard for a new player to puzzle out. There are plenty of short tutorials that can tell you all you need to know.
some moves like the "SHOTGUN" are iceborne exclusive
Why I love the bow. So fast and mobile with a variety of play styles.
Bow is for nerds.
Long sword is for weeaboos.
HH is for band kids,
Hammer is for people who’s parents don’t love them.
