Beautiful house. Such a shame to tear it down but that’s the way it is. One of my good friends was a snow bird she finally bought a place down there all year. I still prefer all the seasons. 😀🤗

I used to prefer all the seasons as well. Then I moved down here and stopped slipping on ice, shoveling my driveway and sidewalk, spending 2 hours driving to work, freezing my butt off going anywhere, etc. Now I have a summer that's not usually much hotter than MI, but 70-75 all winter. The only thing I miss is the fall colors.

@@1QKGLH I’m in western Pa. It’s not to bad here. I’m originally from Md. there’s been a couple of winters that were cold but most of them haven’t been bad.
70-75 is nice but it’s the 80’s and up that I can’t handle. We’re suppose to be in the 90’s + next week. Makes me want to go to Maine. 😂😂😂

Great video! Why not bring a grease pencil with you and mark what is to keep and/or what is to trash when doing your walkthrough? It might save your worker's time when doing their demo work.

It amazes me how wasteful we are I have customers that can’t even afford siding to keep rats out.I could use a lot from these homes to fix a lot of homes here where people can’t afford anything.I will have to come down one day to buy some things from your store.

    • @removeitprosdemolition

It amazes us as well, every day! Where are you from? Come on down. We are open seven days a week from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. When you decide to visit, let the warehouse manager know that you saw us on UA-cam, and they will give you 10% off.

Don't you think selling a window that's from 1993 for $400 is a little pricey. I'm trying to get our company to use you to buy some things to remodel our manufactured homes and for anything else. But some of your prices are just extremely outrageous. I brought it up to my operations manager and I had her watch a couple of your videos to see some of the pricing. and she said the same thing , on some things, you are offering great deals but other things you are just highly priced. 😂 but love what u do..

what's your thoughts on debt? id love your take on that! get in debt for a new dump truck etc... or just pay cash & get a clunker? (obviously speaking about newer business's that really need to manage cash flow) personally we have been following Dave Ramsey and going the debt free method!

    • @removeitprosdemolition
      @removeitprosdemolition  3 місяці тому +1

I'm all with getting stuff and paying cash for it. But there comes the time where dave ramsey's theories don't work anymore. You can't scale a business without taking on debt. I followed his teaching for a long time. And I do my best to keep things as low as possible. And I'm not out spending what I make, but a lot of his theories. If you want to build wealth, they don't work.

Hurricane windows are good for a couple of impacts then stuffs coming through. Shutters give an added layer of protection. I keep shutters even though I have hurricane wind rated windows for this reason.

The hurricane blew all of the seals on my hurricane windows I had 6 foot of water inside of my house. I watch to see if the windows had that kind of stress, if they did I leave them.

Look for the etching into the corner of the glass to see the impact information

      Yes sir.

    • @tedgerstenslager2949

No matter what, impact will have etching only on the glass specifying that the glass is heat strengthened. It will not say anything about impact, that will be a label on the aluminum. It will tell the thickness of the glass depending on how it is glazed, door, window, residential, commercial. Most commercial glazing will be 1/4" HS so it will be marked 1/4 U HS or residential 3/16 U HS
Overall thickness of the glazing will be either 9/16 or 7/16
Tempered will also be marked 1/4 U temp or 3/16 U temp, and the company that tempered it, IE Oldcastle, etc
You can take a sharp pencil point and hold it against the glass and count how many pencil points you see. Every glass surface will produce a point reflection. Both types will have 4 surfaces, but insulated will have a greater space in the reflection between the #2 and #3 surfaces. A lighter or candle will also show multiple flames as well.
Also clear, grey ,bronze tempered looked at with polarized sunglasses will exhibit a mottled surface appearance
Like for example, the door glass he smashed was insulated not impact, and someone applied an interior window film to it. Two separate hits on two separate lites of glass, both tempered. Insulated is glass/airspace/glass and impact is glass polyvinyl/glass. Impact is nothing more than laminated on steroids, laminated is your car windshield with the glass not heat treated. Laminated or impact will make a thunk when lightly tapped on where insulated will not, it will make a tap tap. Very easy to identify.
