This is my favorite song by Patty & Scandal. So much heart and feeling. This performance is perfect. On the record, it was a bit overproduced (WAY too much drum), but here, Patty walks the vocal tightrope between soft and tough like a champ! Wish she'd release some new music. Music today is worse off without a talent like hers.
that voice is insane ... incredibly good live recorded in an era where digital enhancement options were limited and tone deaf folks couldn't get record contracts
My favorite Scandal song also.A radio station in Dayton,Ohio played the whole Warrior album one night, when it first came out.I recorded it on a casette tape.I liked every song. But this soon became the one I liked best.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS. I ABSOLUTELY ADORE PATTY. VERY DYNAMIC. BEST VERSION OF SCANDAL HERE. KEITH MACK ON.GUITAR THOMMY PRICE IS A TREASURE- LOVE AND MISS HIM AT DRUMS.( NOW WITH JOAN JETT- ANOTHER SAPPHIRE)
This is a really good song. I've been on a You Tube safari all morning searching out her music trying to answer the question : Why didn't she reach superstardom in her era? The answer ; she was too good for the 80's
So incredibly talented. Those memories come back; like it was yesterday of that love I felt when I heard her sing. She was a 10 in my book on top of singing perfectly. The band was perfect on top of it. I just always wanted more back then. Too bad more cds were not available of this band back in the early days; not enough tunes then to me. They were amazing.
MY PATTY IS THE BEST FOLLOWED HER OVER 39 YEARS. FOREVER HER FAN. I WILL ALWAYS WILL LIFT HER UP YOU HAVE A GREAT WIFE JOHN MCENROE. HOPE FELICIA AND I MEET YOU BOTH
When I hear her sing like this I can't help but remember reading a review written by an airhead rock critic who described her as having a "husky" voice. I think he needs to have his ears cleaned. Her vocals are near perfect.
don't even think that pat benatar and neil geraldo didn't see this band and missy smyth do their thing.... it dates a little but patty really could sing her ass off. I miss the days when we all had coiffed haircuts that needed a lot of gel and hairspray :)
Autotune got nuthin”. Today? Far too often you don’t hear the singer, you hear autocorrected autotune voice. Sad. Two exceptions that I know, Amy Lee of Evanescence and Lzzy Hale of Halestorm.
We had a degenerate friend in our crew back in the early 80s....we called him Vern...the road weasle...he was always screwing up..but we loved him and looked after him...it's what we did back then.
Not a real fan of the band, but her voice. Similar to Ann Wilson of Heart. Scandal should have written all the songs around her voice, not guitar solos and stuff.
For a live performance that voice is fucking amazing. I've been to a lot of live concerts and they never quite measure up, but this is something else.
thanks for saying that. Of course, this band had to do it for real. nobody was going to step in and fix it for them

stoschlog I agree.
Has a new album out now.
Her best is when she is live!
Love Patty Symth and all her songs. Her voice is amazing.
Her voice was amazing, sadly.
Man, does this ever take me back. Sad tear in my eye thinking about those times compared to now
Patty Smythe and Scandal never got the credit they were due. They were incredibly great. They should have become much bigger than they became.

Killer power pop….I still love and listen to this album, every song is strong
I love her dancing and stage moves
Love Patty Smyth. She's such a beautiful and talented singer
Patty sounded, and continues to sound great! Incredible voice and talent!
2025 almost and still crushing on Patty! You'd think at 59, I'd be way past that. Nope.

Yep definitely agree. Lovely talented woman and always all class too.
***** Yes indeed. Very classy lady.
Scandal's record company ruined them !!!!

my God, so good :D
My love.
Best voice and singer, the two albums are great and I am far more of a metalhead, I just want the guitar turned up like on the album.

Journey should have asked her to join, when Steve Perry left the band, they would have had no limits with her voice and abilities ....
Great song!
❤
Keith Mack , absolutely ripping it
no comment.!!! ur just so goood patty :*
That was a comment lol
I have thought they or her should be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
Doesn't she look great? Gee, what a voice, so cool and sultry. Very cool.
Great song, not released as a single???
fucking awesome!
Good
I often wonder if they have a DVD of their live shows on the market?.
Que bonito se escucha el inglés

Moose Doesn't Matter....I love this girl, but that sucked
Song for a degenerate friend??
