It was refreshing to hear the band live and actually performing the song. So many other music videos have their audio erased and replaced with the studio version of the songs.
They do look great, but if they are one of the best bands then then 80's was worse than i thought! Reckon i could name 50 better in one minute! No, i cannot type that fast!

@@petermeichan3160 Your opinion is duly noted, however I have to disagree. Certainly some musicians may be better like Clapton or Donald Fagen. Some singers could be greater like Elvis or Freddie. There have been better songs written such as Like a Rolling Stone or Stayin' Alive or Nights in White Satin but overall the Beatles have the best body of work that have influenced the most people and their music will be played a hundred years from now. More artists have covered Yesterday than any other song. The Beatles still hold the record for the most #1 songs on the Billboard charts. The reason I like them I can sing their songs and they exuded love while the Stones have a different vibe. Sympathy for the Devil? What was Jagger thinking?
Which one is Susanna Hoff? Though the drums drum machine? were annoying at first, I have to say its nice to see four women playing guitar, singing and still together having fun!! Thanks ladies!
I remember when this first came out in the mid 1980's, how popular it was in the clubs and on MTV. It's ironic the Debbi Peterson, the drummer, hated this song and refused to play so they had to have a drum machine fill that role while Debbi was resigned to playing the tambourine and whistling.

Well, this is a more complicated thing than it seems, precisely because this song (their biggest hit) can be argued to be the trigger that set the demise of the Bangles in motion. To this day they (particularly) Debbi have very mixed feelings about it. They play it because they know the audience loves it and expects them to play it, not because they love it so much themselves.
