Hey FP could you do a video about predicting teams while you’re battling? This is something I need help with the most. Thanks and always look forward to your videos 🙏
See the lead, the back usually tends to cover up the worst weaknesses of it. Like if there's a Swampert on the lead usually there's a flyer or an ice type in the back. Then there are the most used teams: if Hypno on the lead you can expect double dark in the back, if Venusaur may be GFisk and Sableye or double tank, if Bastiodon may be grasshole, double fighter, double charmer, if Altaria may be the Caleb Peng's double fighter, may be Zyonik's medicham+lanturn and so on ^.^
FPSticks teaching people is actually so nice. There's a lot of new people coming into the pvp scene who don't know these techniques. Will for sure make battles more fun.
i’ve only recently started counting moves and sac swapping is my new goal, i’ve done it a few times out of luck but i’d love to do it consistently. thank you so much for all of this information FP! also, sorry there are people hating on you for no reason.
Awesome content man! Really really advanced mechanics! I'm still struggling with the fast moves alignment, but these "How to master" series are incredible. Please, keep up with more! And I've loved one suggestion I saw in the comments below: How to master predicting you opponent team. We need this one FP!!
Great info as always Taylor. The true Pokémon Professor right here, can’t wait for more videos breaking down battle mechanics. It’s cool you devote so much time to spreading knowledge to the community. Your a gifted teacher for sure
think another tip you could add is when you know you're opponent doubled up on charge moves to perform a sac immediately after they throw the first one. They're less likely to expect the sac cause they desperately want to get them both off before you have a chance to switch. It's easier with moves like superpower, psycho boost and wild charge since they want to get back to back moves and get all the energy off immediately so they can switch to clear the debuff. Also on a similar note if you know they're gonna use a move with a defense drop don't throw energy immediately. Wait for them to throw so you can force the cmp. Since they have the dropped defense your move is more likely to one shot or draw a shield cause they can't run away during a cmp. I always do that with my umbreon against mew, talonflame and skarmory to use energy more efficiently.
Have you covered Switch Locking in a tutorial? I know that this is SUPER basic, but it’s something that really gave me trouble and cost me a lot of games when I was first starting. Plus, whenever you cover something (even those things which I feel that I understand) I learn a lot.
I have one more strategy to complement the intentional desync: The intentional sync. You stop tapping your phone in order to sync up with your opponent, which allows you to catch their move at a time where usually it would be impossible to catch bc you're stuck in your fast move animation. Relevant example: Galvantula vs. gfisk gets destroyed by rock slide. Volt switch is a 4 turn move and gfisk reaches RS after 10 turns, aka at a time you're stuck the animation of your 3rd volt switche. I therefore do 2 VS's (8 turns), then wait 2 turns (no tapping), and then switch out to catch the rock slide on something else.
Please make a video on significance of the secondary match/winning switch... Most of the matches I personally lose are due to the secondary match even after winning lead... And I win matches when I lose hard on the lead... I play so weirdly 🧐🙄😶
Often winning switch becomes important when you win lead if you don't have an ABB line. Otherwise you win lead but lose switch and the opponent can easily align his mons according to yours.
@@akm2454 absolutely right man... I kinda learned from my mistakes... My team is not actually an ABB team so after winning lead it really becomes imp to win switch... I don't really like to commit my shields but have to do that... Or else I lose with shield advantage... Currently at rank 17 and facing such skilled battlers... I did improve on the sac swaps after this video 😅
I feel like its been much harder to do sac swaps in S7, because i cant really keep track of the opponents energy in this season. I dont know if its my internet connection or whatever, but the laggs i usually have got company by a lot of situations, where - for example - an azumarill got to 2 play roughs with nine bubbles, i've seen. this happens a lot at the moment. I count the opponents moves, i see - for example - nine bubbles and azumarill has to play roughs. Even if i count in one extra bubble i may have not seen or the azumarill got in while i switched my pokemon, there are several occasions, where my opponent has a lot more energy than i could recognize. I really try to follow the opponents energy, but in this season, is just dont see every animation. very frustrating, when you think 'its gotta be move A' and its actually move B, which aquires a lot more energy ...
my lag is so bad i cant count nor sac swap, i cant see how many fast moves the opponent does and my gamre takes like 1 or 2 seconds rto swap despite me clicking, i used to be able to do it before season 3, but since than season lag has become abismal at least for me
Don’t worry try to remember the counts of the Pokémon you have. As your collection increases it’ll be easier to remember. By experience you’ll get a feeling when you’ve to make a swap.! ex: two Pokémon getting to the charge move at the same time so basically when you are at a move swap ... and you’ll catch that move on a less health Pokémon ‘
damn he went through the "intentional desync" i thought that was a technique i invented and only i knew. i intentionally desync so my opponents cant sac swap because in stunfisk mirrors, that will single handedly decide the game edit: also the damage doesnt go through if ko that turn, so you should always undertap and eat a fast move if you can ko on your charge
I feel like those swaps only depend on luck, because you never know what your opponent is anticipating ... What I hate most is when my opponent does a random swap when I overfarm (on purpose) and has success :D

@@CayenneGT yep I fully agree with you. Now at Season 7 I’ve learned to accept I won’t get to Legend. Don’t mind at all, still enjoy it. Expert has been my highest ELO and I was even lucky to get to that.

Lol I really hate these videos get so many views. People try this sac swap and ctach a charge move in a non winning game. It makes the games go even longer than they should. People don't back out. Down 3 to 1 pokemon and both shields and will stick the whole game out. The swaps are getting out of control even in lower levels. During my first match of the season, people swapping into pokemon that takes super effective damage..... lol I shake my head and laugh sooooooo much during battles now.
Really don’t see the need of a almost 30 min video on this. Normally it’s fairly easy to sac swap, all you gotta do is count the fast moves and time it right. My girlfriend who barely plays gbl even knows how to sac swap, doesn’t require that high level of skill if you just count properly.

When i have a ice type in the lead againts an Altaria and when they stay in I 100% know there gonna try and sac swap so I normally dont get baited.

Stop tapping in a mirror match does not allow the opponent to have an extra fast move?
Such a good teacher. My understanding 📈📈📈

Is there a list anywhere of who wins cmp? All I can find is a list for the ultra league from two years ago
Go to pvpoke.com, search each matchup and at the bottom there is the cmp tie info.
