the ending of this song was what got me truly obsessed with periphery. absolutely beautiful, and a perfect melody choice from spencer to lead into the solos. you've gotta hear ragnarok now, luck as a constant leads into ragnarok on P2
The dual solos at the end are one of my favorite Periphery moments ever. The melodies of P2 have an oddly nostalgic sound to them that I cant describe. Especially so with Luck As A Constant, Have a Blast, Erised, Epoch, Mile Zero, and the first 2 minutes of Masamune. I only discovered them in late 2022, yet I get washed over with this huge nostalgic like feeling every time I listen to them despite only discovering them in recent years and having no big sentimental connection with them. It's crazy that this album is 12 years old. Also Jake killed it with the electronic elements of this album.
This song is my favourite of Periphery's songs. For me it embodies everything I love about that band: the harmonies, the "djenty" chuggs, the rythm/groove, the softer parts, the solos.
You should check Froggin' Bullfish from this album as well. One of my fsvorite underrated tracks by them. And a track they've never played live (because of the vocals weren't really written with live in mind as Spencer has said). Though I still think they and Spence could pull it off
You need to react to the entire PII album. This thing is legendary. One of the best dient albums of all time in my opinion. Or at least, the Somewhere in Time trilogy.
I think Periphery is brilliant for people with ADHD like myself since there’s so much going on and so many aspects to pick out each time you listen to it, been my top artist for 2 years in a row
It's so weird to think that this album was released like 12 years ago. These guys were so ahead of their time that it feels like the modern metal scene is still trying to catch up with whatever the fuck they were already doing back then.
That opening is one of my all-time favourite Periphery riffs🔥 it’s somehow slow and sludgy whilst also being fast and energetic? So good🕺🏼
MORE PERIPHERY LETS GOOOOO! So glad you're checking this one out; definitely one of the best songs off P2.

Somewhere in Time... O M G love it
One of their best! Love that opening riff and when it comes back near the end

You gotta start doing full album Periphery reactions as you're missing a lot of the tasty Leitmotif by just doing singles 😜😜
Yes !!!! Finally ❤
Only took me 3 months to learn this on guitar
my favorite periphery song
This, hands down, was the song that got me into periphery!!! Such amazing songwriting!
I really like the newer stuff but I wish they would get back to a little bit more of this, next to P1, P2 is my favorite album from them.
i love this song so much
Definitely one of Periphery’s best songs, in my opinion. Happy to see you check it out
Time to check out Marks guitar play through of sentient glow ❤❤❤
More Periphery please!!! New subscriber 😊
Theyve had so many great songs, but P2 was pure perfection. This album is what got me and a lot of people hooked.
Hands down the best solos periphery has every written
I think you gotta do their first album P1 bro, earliest work so production is a bit off but damn the album itself is still their best in my opinion 🙌🏼
Bro is living under a rock? :D
Joke aside.
I can't imagine myself in 2012 without this song and this album. Master piece

Second comment! I knew waking up early on Friday was going to pay off....
Letter experiment is brilliant too
Merry x mass!
I feel bad you are just now hearing this. Song is a banger.
Nahh he’s lucky cause I wish I could experience all their catalog for the first time again 😂
