Your shirt says it all - just be a good human! I happened to grow up an a white community, but my life has not been "privileged" in any way that I can see. And I agree with many commenters here - this skit is a brilliantly written and performed piece of work, and it is much more about our various economic or city/rural lives. It was such a pleasure to find such humor in our commonalities versus our "differences." Love God, show kindness and respect to each other, treat others as you would like to be treated yourself. This one is very smart, relevant and VERY funny social commentary... but the punchline to Chadwick’s is maybe the hardest I’ve laughed out loud in the last ten years.
I've always loved Kenan Thompson since his All That days, he was also great in Good Burger, The mighty ducks movies, he also does a great Steve Harvey on SNL lol
OMG! He was in Good Burger??! I forgot. That was THE longest movie of my life. I took my son and a couple of his friend to see if when they were about 9. I never thought it would end. 🥴That said, now I can hear Kenan saying "Welcome to Good Burger, how can we help you". 🤣
@@Sharon-pb7so that was Kel who played Ed
@@sinned6us Oh ok. Either way that was one long movie. 😊
When he did his impression of Steve Harvey hosting who wants to be a millionaire, I was in tears laughing
Kenan Thompson is now the longest cast member in SNL history
there are people who are adults in the eyes of the government who have never seen a new episode of SNL without Keenan present.
I'm pretty sure Pete Davidson is taller.
@@RemmingtonSteal lol
I forgot how phenomenal this sketch was.
Every aspect to it. Everyone's acceptance to Doug being out of his element, to Doug maybe wearing a MAGA hat but still legitimately enjoying his time on the show and learning to listen and understand.
I might be rambling but it really is a spectacular sketch.
All of the black jeopardy videos are classic but this one is my favorite 😂 definitely check out the one with Chadwick Boseman too. Keep it up man 🙌 you make our days better. 7:37 was priceless
Boseman’s was sweet... the Wakanda culture was so sweet compared to ours and the host seemed to think he was adorable.
I can't tell you how many times I've seen all of these - but, the one with Tom Hanks is definitely my favorite!
This sketch was obviously written by Black folk. 😉 LOL, love it!!
Some of my favorite SNL skits were Dana Carvey's portrayal of "the church lady".
And don't forget "Massive Head Wound Harry"...
@@vincentsablan732 aahhh...Dana Carvey...a true master of disguise!!!
The Broom hittin' the ceiling floor......had me rolling on the ceiling floor! LOL
one of the BEST skits EVER "what can a skinny girl do for you?" -almost DIED!!!
THIS, this is awesome as hell! All of them in this skit! And Tom Hanks, when is he not great? This was the best! I loved it. Who didn't??! "Well, that is good for you, Doug." I love the way he says that!" I cracked up! And then the "I'm transported!" And then the handshake thing! I was rolling! And lost it again, with you!
This was an instant classic imo!
Love this sketch
And Jamel falling out laughing because the jokes are too real😆 I was doing the same thing the first time I watched it.
This was a great one and Tom Hanks is such a legend of an actor. Perfect for the skit.
one of snls best skits in years, tom hanks nailed the part and the otehrs were awesome
Gotta watch this lol. Hanks did Black and Regular Jeopardy on SNL. Let's gitter done!
Technically the “regular” is Celebrity
I was a teen throughout the 80s decade and Saturday Night Live is the best with modern day humor. The best comedians from the early days of SNL skits still puts a smile on my face with laughter. Tom Hanks was great at this.
That’s such a classic skit! Thanks for your reaction. Laughter is truly the best medicine.
“What is...not a DAMN thing!” Oh God, I hurt myself on that one! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Love your channel Jamel 🌹
Gotta see the Barry Gibb Talk Show with Justin Timberlake.
I’M BARRY EFFING GIBB!!
I love this skit! I almost feel guilty for laughing soo hard. I have always been a Tom Hanks fan since Bosom Buddies lol. But this is awesome lmao.
Along these lines, there was a great SNL sketch with John Mulaney where he's the boyfriend attending a wedding reception. Priceless.
This is a s one of my favorites
The part "Lives That Matter" and then the contenders give no answer, really got me 😂 🤣
Omg when he went to shake Doug's hand and he backs away. I've watched this so many times and crack up every time. I love to laugh and pray. 🤣
This ones so great lol and who doesn’t love Tom Hanks? 🖤🖤
I also loved the time when he was on "Celebrity Jeopardy" playing himself. 🤣
@@kittycatmeowmeow963 Yes!!
I'd watch as many of these as you care to react to, they're so funny. "Fixed my car, my fridge, and my cat" 😂😂
The broom hitting the ceiling! LMAO
The broom pounding the ceiling/floor was priceless!!!
See, I’m white and come from Louisiana originally and get all those jokes from the opposite side. There were so many Dougs around only their ball caps usually had trucker logos or repair shops or hardware stores. Not bad guys until you strayed onto the wrong subject.
And then they showed what Nazis they are.
I’m from the south too and I know you’re lying. White people just don’t hate themselves and Don’t bow down to BLM. I guess that makes us racist.
I think that sums up a lot of closet racism. They can be genuine and caring people… until you cross a certain line with them, or disagree about something social. It can then turn into a hostile and sometimes violent situation really quick.
That doesn’t make them racist. It makes them human. Every race is the same way.
@@mshat18 this really the hill you want to die on man? Differing opinions don’t make me violent. Especially concerning race equality. I guess I should be more specific. If a phase like “black lives matter” bothers you, you’re probably a racist.
Comedy gold. thanks for posting it.
What always Koool about SNL especially the 1970s-90s is they make fun of All Stereotypes and have fun with them without everyone getting all "Karen" & Woke" up in your grill !! Lol
Doug reminded me of my late father. I have heard every single word of that from him at one time or another.
Loved the skinny girls one Tom I mean Doug! SNL parodies have me on the floor! I was crying over Elvis but now I'm crying tears from laughing. 🤣🤣🧹 The broom!!
One of THE best SNL skits ever! Much love fam! 🤘🏼
Jamel / Jamal, I AM SO JEALOUS OF YOUR WORKSPACE!!!!!!!!! What a connoisseur of.... EVERYTHING I LOVE!!!!! True Renaissance man. I'm not even Christian, but God bless you. Way to live the credo you wear on your hat and your shirt.
You NEED to react to the SNL sketch “Close Encounter” with Kate McKinnon. Funniest sketch in years!
The one with Ryan Gosling is fantastic. Now I have to go watch it.
@@mattjones7226 there’s two with Gosling. Both pure gold.
OMGee yes, I laughed til it hurt.
omg yesss
yeah i’m going to watch it again after this
Bro. You HAVE to do celebrity Jeopardy with Sean Connery, Sharon Osbourne and Bill Cosby
Or just any celebrity jeopardy in general. They are all fire.
@@jen9036 100% Agree! That particular one is by far my fav. I miss old SNL
This is what we need more of. Being able to laugh at ourselves without getting our feewings hoit.🤡
True because we Humans somehow can fit into some of these "stereotypes" even if they are exaggerated !
Damn jamel, I've never seen you laugh this hard!!! Tom hanks has done several jeopardizes. I was laughing so hard I was choking myself!!!!
Legitimately brilliant and hilarious sketch. One of SNL's best. It's crazy just how much the two "cultures" have in actual common. And Tom Hanks absolutely nails it.
Yep, I certainly remember people pounding on their ceiling (my floor) for us to be quiet or knocking on the wall. LOL! I'll tell you, if you want to see a HILARIOUS SNL Skit, you've got to see Undercover Boss - Kylo Ren. There are two of them and they are absolutely hilarious!
This is how comedy used to be Jamel, most sitcoms and comedians in the 70s could laugh at and with each other
Yup, All in the family was hilarious lol, Archie would be canceled in this day and age.
This is from like 3 years ago not the 70s weirdo 😂😂😂😂 "used to be" 🤦♂️
@@dustywaynemusic6297 They're not saying this is from the 70s, they're saying sketch is similar to how comedy used to be in the 70s.
@@shalonrivers6732 Except the show was as "woke" as you could imagine
🧡!
Laughter is contagious. There is little better from SNL than Black Jeopardy and Celebrity Jeopardy. Thanks for covering this. It was fun.
Totally Agree… whoever wrote this sketch was on point🙌
I'm laughing so hard I've got tears. Thank you!
The message of this is beautiful. We really aren't that different. Unfortunately SNL themselves pretends it isn't true. A LOT of people sowing divisiveness.
Naw, the division isn’t new. And, unfortunately, it will continue until some of you recognize that there’s a lot of racism and racist individuals in our country. Blaming it on the media and television is just another excuse to do nothing. But, yes, the message is beautiful…
That skit is comedy gold. I have seen this several times and I always laugh my behind off watching that.
The best part, Tom Hanks never did the whole backing away thing until the live performance. How they all stayed in character when he did that I have no idea. It was hilarious and perfect.
That's such a brilliant sketch, thanks for reacting to it
Wasn't this sketch the best? I'm surprised you didn't react to this before - it's a true classic. Great writing, and every person on-camera was fantastic. I've watched it several times over the years- never gets old. :-)
Right along with Keanu, Tom is of the nicest people in Hollywood. And I don't think that anyone can be that loved, and be that friendly with out a great sense of humor. Tom here just showing how to laugh at himself. great stuff.
One of my favorite skits with one of my favorite reviewers. I was laughing when you were.. Thanks for the laughs.
Watching you react to this is priceless.
You're killing it.
I think I will order one of your tshirts, that is, if you have one to fit a "sturdy" "big girl" senior citizen such as myself. I had tears of laughter running down my eyes and thought you were in danger of falling off your chair!
Seeing my man lose his shit on the “broom hitting the floor below us” was what I needed today lol
Just watched this again a few days ago, and now your reacting to it. Perfect!
Somehow I forgot how incredibly hysterical this sketch was before watching this, thank you for reminding me of this priceless sketch
I've been on both sides of the ceiling with that broom!
Kenan Thompson is a national treasure.
