  • Here is a quick look at the brand new TinySeats Two. Available for pre-order right now with delivery in middle of December. We show some basic features and make installations both rear and forward facing.
It's a huge upgrade from the first version which was more of a temporary travel seat. TinySeats Two is a great rear facing seat which can be used 61-125 m with Isofix and an impressive weight of 23 kg. Can also be used forward facing as a high back booster 106-135 cm.
More details and videos will be available shortly.

So cool! Impressive seat. My only concern is - don't you think people are going to try and use this forward facing with the harness anyway? A lot of people don't know about support legs/top tether and may assume that since it physically can be installed that way, there's no harm in using it that way.

Good point. I don't think it will be an issue since parents purchasing this seat will know a thing or two about car seats. And must also be able to afford it. We do unfortunately see idiotic parents using our common pure rear facing seats as forward facing seats all the time. Same with infants seats. TinySeats Two should be available as a pure rear facing seat with Plus Test approval next year. Will take care of the issue of harnessing FF but the seat is also then less versatile.....

i do not see a problem with using the seat straps in forward facing as it should have same function as for rear view facing.

It won't unfortunately, because there is no support leg in use in forward facing mode. For forward facing seats you need a third point of anchorage (support leg, top tether, bracing, seatbelt) to prevent the seat rotating forward too much in a crash. There is no comparison of support leg vs no support leg because EU seats with support leg it is usually not possible to fit the seat without the leg. But you can find if you google American comparisons of top tether vs no top tether. The result would be the same and so there would be a very high chance of the child impacting the front seat. Very dangerous.

Is there a crash test video?

Not sure what crash test video you are referring to. The seat has passed the R129 testing which is fairly tough. No official ADAC testing has so far been done since the seat is brand new. I know that unofficial ADAC testing has been done and results were good. Testing by ADAC is in general not worth anything since the procedure focus very little on safety.
