The second hand stutter indicates low voltage, which is how it come from the factory. Before placing it in a sunny spot pull the crown out 1 position, this speeds up the charging time.
She is in 'low power mode' Ticks every two seconds. She will keep proper time for a while but eventually she might stop. Set her in the window for a couple hours - just do not let her get too hot. Eco-drive. I have a 20+ year old, and a newer one. The newer one suffers from this often, not sure if this is an issue with modern citizens, I hope not.
I'm a huge evangelist for this watch. Incredible looks and functionality for the price. Particularly when you consider that it's a "traveler" style GMT, which typically sell for at least 6x more than this model. The seconds hand on mine is very well-aligned, as a data point (this is the case on all of my Citizens).
Just got mine a few months ago. It looks good and is well made, my only big dislike is the mineral crystal. Another thing is that there's no quickset for the hour if you're flying from east to west - you can easily quickset the hours forwards but not backwards (by pulling out to first click.) Maybe it's a movement type limitation or maybe I'm just doing something wrong.
I have a question about the jumping hour hand in this movement: you can advance the hour hand independently, but how do you make it jump backward? If for example you are travelling from Paris to London (one hour difference), do you just advance the hour hand 23 hours instead? But then you would mess up the date and you'd have to re-adjust that as well.
This would be a nice companion to my Promaster Ray Mears (BN0118-55E), and it could be even nicer if they offered a titanium version with a sapphire crystal.
Do you know the Difference between this and the BJ7107-83e? I will visit Japan in April, and want to pick up one of these in Tokyo…. thank you very much…
Hi Markus. Yes, the difference is in the colour. The one you mentioned is all black (pvd). Have a great time in Japan. I've been there as an exchange student and loved it.

Quite a fan of Citizen watches and its great to see more on UA-cam. I like the dial on this one but that bezel is a little too busy for me.

I am a huge fan of this watch as well. Japanese market gets some real gems.
Over 20 years ago i bought this watch for 50€, Citizen GMT worldtime 200m with Saphire Glas.
This is a very nice watch, that delivers an interesting quality and functions for the price 👍🏻
Great explorer two alternative ❤
Great review and brilliant watch! Thanks for making it and keep it up!
Thanks Adi! I'm glad you liked it.

how much did you pay for your watch?
@@korhi4 about 150€/$/£
Nice watch, and I see it has Bangkok listed in the time zone, perfect!
Really good review. This is a beautiful watch with wonderful functionality. Solar 200m GMT. would be 💯 with a better crystal
Agree. If it had sapphire it would've been perfect. Still a fantastic watch though. Thanks for watching 😊

A sapphire crystal version would be amazing for sure. The Ray Maers edition is a very cool watch.
Interesting to see how this holds up to the recent NH34 releases.
How can the GMT hand be moved?
I have this in the blue dial version - unfortunately no bracelet .. I have it on a sailcloth instead.

nice review mate and solid watch although I would prefer a sterile bezel :D
Thanks man! I'm struggling to imagine it with a sterile dial 😁.
I would really, really love to purchase this watch but it appears to be discontinued everywhere I look. Any tips on where to find this in stock?
Hi Chris! Yeah you're right. It's out of stock literally everywhere. I guess it's temporal. Where are you based?
@@TheBoldHairspring Somehow my comment was deleted - I'm based in the United States and can't find a seller with this in stock.
@@ChrisFlemingGuitar There are a few available on Chrono 24 but they're from Italian and German sellers 🤷🏼♂️
Build like a tank, weigh like a tank.....
and for some weird reasons, comes with mineral glass... 😂
