That's a really nice case and would work perfectly for a project I'm currently working on. Unfortunately I'm in the US and I can't seem to find anything similar at a similar price point.
I believe the Norco RPC-4224 in the US is very similar, but the prices do look a lot higher right now, the price for the alibaba one I linked seems the same however. Not sure if they ship to US but I think they do.
Hi, I bought a very similar case (SC-4324s), but it is missing 3way PWM fan cable you have in yours. I am now looking to buy one, but can't find it anywhere. Do you happen to know connector name they use on the chassis side (the one with 6 pins , next to the molex for fan power) or maybe pinout of that connector so that I can possibly make one? Thanks
Which SAS controller did you end up going with with the 4 ports? I have the same case, but I use 2 SAS controllers, and I was interested in making it just one to increase reliability incase of hardware failure.
Out of curiosity, would you happen to know what the maximum cooler height of this case is? I'm building in the exact same case and am trying to decide which cooler model to get, and obviously the bigger the better! Update: Ended up just using it as a JBOD hooked up to a second server, but it finally arrived and I just wanted to say thanks again for this wonderful video-I don't think I'd ever have figured out those rails without your instructions, as I'm very new to the homelab scene.
@@PrimeRedux I think the ones on the backplane are SFF 8087 while the ones on the SAS controller that would handle 24 HDD's are SFF 8643. You can get cables with both connectors on either end :)
Hey I watched the video where you put this together and am coming across a similar issue you had and that is where the PSU didn't fit. I haven't bought the chassis yet and am gathering parts to put a build together and was wondering if you would recommend a PSU that would fit and power all the molex ports on the backplane while also being long enough to run to them, and also being multi-rail PSU? Thanks for these videos!
The fans are PWM so can be controlled but at full speed they can be very loud. You can hear them in my server migration video. There is not power supply included with the case. I'm not sure on warranty, if you buy from a local company they may have one but mine is from AliBaba and I have no idea about warranty sorry.
Would be simple to fit alternative quieter fans, ones that your motherboard could control. In server rooms they tend to run everything at full blast as they don't care about noise.
Hey dude. Im looking at getting the smaller 16bay one. Whats the import cost like when getting from Alibaba? Is it worth it or does it eventually end up the same as buying from servercaseuk? Cheers
If you can find it domestically then I would go that route. This ended up just a few pounds cheaper overall than if I bought from servercase but shipping took a lot longer. Shipping was £115 and I had to also pay £76 customs. Anyone in the US however then AliBaba may work out much cheaper since they don't pay customs on anything under $800.
The rails for my case simply hook on to the front nad back posts of the rack through the square holes, the center is spring loaded and pops through one of the rack holes.
Thank you for this video. I could not figure out how the rail system worked without your help. Cheers!
Thank you so much for linking the rails.
I just got this locally reserved for me.

Did you have any issues with the backplanes?

I have the be quiet! Pure Rock 2 in there which is 155 mm and its a close fit if I remember.
@@PrimeRedux Awesome, thanks. Good to know!
Man, where have u been? We subbed to see more. Any planned?? Your production values made me think you were serious about building something??
I've had some real long days at work recently sorry, I'll get around to filming something soon I hope. Just need to get a little more organized.
Hi, the drive trays looks like it will support 2.5" drives natively?
Hi. Whay kind of server rack you use for this case ?
what rack do you store that thing in? Link? I found the same case on alix
ty again!!
It's the StarTech 25U adjustable rack, they also have a 12U version.
Crap... Now i need this
They are 6gbps SAS not 12gb, the 12gb one would be a square SFF-8643 connector
Great video though, i am looking at a 16 bay version for my server
Oh very interesting, I thought those connectors were interchangeable but I guess not, thanks for pointing that out.

Hi what is the brand / model or your HBA controller card? Where did you purchase it?
Can the disc bay also accommodate normal Sata discs? (No sas.)
Yes the SAS connector is backwards compatible with SATA drives, I'm pretty sure most if not all SAS controllers supports both too.
hi there. is it possible to utilize the network led indicator from the front of the case? how and where can i connect it?
What controller is that with the 4x 8087 connectors?
It is a LSI 9201-16i

ANy normal ATX power supply should fit in this case. Mine only had an issue because it was not standard ATX and I was missing brackets.
How mouch loud this server fan? What abou there warranty policy? Do i need extra power supply or power supply included? Thanks.

@@PrimeRedux nice one cheers. Ill wait until they have stock
How is the server holding up?
Things are holding up well, 12 drives in and still plenty of room to grow.
@@PrimeRedux Thanks, going to pick one up soon :)
How do you attach the rails to the rack?
The rails for my case simply hook on to the front nad back posts of the rack through the square holes, the center is spring loaded and pops through one of the rack holes.
What's the power supply?
It is a CRS 500W Mini Redundant PSU, model number PIST1050-EPSH-80. They can be very expensive new but I managed to find this one on ebay.
@@PrimeRedux thanks
@@PrimeRedux would you sell or make available the 3d print file for the bracket?
