Today's young NBA fans have no clue when they compare Lebron to MJ. I was never a MJ fan. I always was a Patrick Ewing fan and pulled for the Knicks. With that being said, I respected MJ for his unbelievable, and unmatched talent. He is the GOAT. I watched him dismantle Knicks playoff runs year after year. I loved/hated when the Bulls and Knicks had to play in the playoffs because I knew I would be watching some of the best basketball ever played. The Knicks would do everything short of breaking MJ's legs and arms, trying to stop him. They fouled him hard every time he came into the lane, and he just dominated and came back for more abuse. He never took games off because he was tired, or needed rest. He played every game like his life depended on it. I am saying all this never being a Bulls or MJ fan. Facts are facts. MJ is the GOAT as far as I am concerned. I'm 51 years old, and have seen some of the greats play. Bird, Magic, Dr. J, Kareem, Hakeem, Barkley. I think what is missing in today's NBA is the love of the challenge of playing other great players. The players of today would rather join other teams with great players to make the road to winning a ring too easy. They have watered down the struggle, the value of winning a championship. I do have to say that I am really glad the Suns and Bucks are in the finals. They are 2 great, young teams that are hungry, and played their way through the "super" teams to get where they are.
I used to think it was disrespectful to say the modern NBA couldn’t match the 90’s NBA. Then I watched a whole season of modern basketball that revolves around 3-point shooting and non-existent front court players and I am now thoroughly convinced 80% of these modern players wouldn’t have lasted more than one season in the 90’s NBA!
if mj could avg 50+ points in todays league on top of the ridiculous high scores that nba teams up now adays I wouldn't be surprised if he could make a game go to 200 points. 1983, the Detroit Pistons beat the Denver Nuggets 186-184 in triple overtime
Not really. Today's NBA stretches the defense to one-on-one coverage because of long range shooters, and that format would favor Jordan heavily because not only he improved his 3pt arsenal, but was unstoppable if guarded one-on-one.

Hey Bro I always love your videos and look forward to them dropping. I am also a huge MJ fan! When you were talking about the bonus category and MJ's ability to make incredible shots. I always say that along with him being so graceful. I'm not sure if you have watched much of Derrick Rose early on during his Bulls career. But he was also very good at around the rim. Not to the level of MJ. But for a much smaller guard he was pretty incredible. You may want to make a video about that? Just a thought.
Wilt Chamberlain is the GOAT. Wilt's records are unbelievable. Michael Jordan's records are totally believable. That says it all - Wilt was so good, people still don't believe the records he put up.
Wilt is definitely in conversation but MJs "No way I am not winning this series" willpower translating into six for his last six regular seasons, I think sets him apart from the other greats...
I grew up watching him in 1990s, I thought turn around fadeaway jump is a normal move, turns out it is very difficult to do. Then jumping reverse layup, the pumped lay up, the mid-air hand switching lay up. Then, seeing how many NBA players struggled doing just that right now makes me realise that the GOAT is indeed very special.
Jordan was Thanos in the 90's. He beat Mullins, Ewing, Magic, Barkley, Drexler, Stockton and Malone in the playoffs or Finals. That's 7 Dream Team members and 5 of them never won a ring (Magic won 5 and Drexler won 1 w/Houston). Just snapped his fingers.
I only watch highlights on UA-cam to keep up with what's happening, or the occasional game on free TV now days I can't stomach much more. There are many reasons why the NBA is in decline; the spacing on the #NBA court is ridiculous, no great rivalries, players switching teams too much and super- teams, the excessive obsession with iso basketball, and one pass and shoot a three killing off the mid range shot (analytics) and not as much team basketball, very little ball movement with less great passing and well executed plays are being run less, it's way too soft with no hand checking and lack of physicality and the defensive three seconds opens up the paint too much so the scoring is too easy, it's getting so boring to watch, the post game is dead, I would love to see post moves return to the game and see bigs battle in the post instead of shooting so many three pointers, and yes he NBA has gone way too political, know one wants to mix sports and politics, and there is Chinese ( CCP ) money being injected into the league, no wonder the ratings are tanking. The Olympic basketball in Tokyo will be much more interesting to watch, the international game is more physical, has more team basketball and ball movement, and has more gritty defence.
Its unfair for today s top NBA Players not be able to really show their skills in reflection of all the Great Ones like Dr J, Magic , Bird, MJ and even Kobe ect. It is the need to be exposed to the Old Rules of Man to Man of NO ZONE can today s players get the attention. With so few centers defending the paint Jordan would make a living making layups all day.
Good point
I think Kyrie is a better ball handler and great at finishing around the rim then Jordan. I don't see him making a living making layups all day!
@@nasalam2118 yeah I could be wrong, maybe he would be content to drain midrange jumpers all day. I don't know.
@@nasalam2118 doesnt matter, jordan is just jordan. i guess kyrie doesnt have the mindset to dominate in the mid range and post. and jordan had more spectacular layups.
They are 2 great, young teams that are hungry, and played their way through the "super" teams to get where they are.
how can you guard Jordan with today's rules if having bad breath will send you to the free throw line
Ahaha, why bad breath?.. Also body odor?
His competitive drive had no equal.
God, I can't imagine how hard it must've been for you to cut the ways he could kill someone down into 7
Come on!! You know LeBron is the GOAT. In his own mind. MJ is still unmatched and I still miss this dude.
Michael Jordan couldn't play in today's NBA. (The scoreboard stops at three digit numbers. Couldn't keep track of his stats...)
if mj could avg 50+ points in todays league on top of the ridiculous high scores that nba teams up now adays I wouldn't be surprised if he could make a game go to 200 points.
1983, the Detroit Pistons beat the Denver Nuggets 186-184 in triple overtime
UNDERRATED comment!!!👏👏👏😂🤣😁
Not really. Today's NBA stretches the defense to one-on-one coverage because of long range shooters, and that format would favor Jordan heavily because not only he improved his 3pt arsenal, but was unstoppable if guarded one-on-one.
@@corkystorky Agreed Jordan could shoot the three, without effort. He never really needed it, or truly had to. But if he played in today's game, he would target Stef curry, and the rest history as their 3 point shoot out becomes things of legend. As far as dribbles ,handles, and one n guard, he would make a fool of them..."posterize"
@@quinnbaygo2112 why is that jordan can adapt to 3 pointers but not other players ? any player can fix their 3 point shot when they want to

i wonder how good mjs 3 point game would be if the league is all about 3 points today
@@cosmeticscameo8277 He wouldn't need it - no one plays defense so he'd slash through the lane every time down the court.
Jordan had everything.. the circus shot, the impossible shot, the game winners, the clutch free throws, hang time, insane dunking, high scoring and lock down defense.
Where do i sign Sr.? I agree 1000% with all you said, Mike would not only beat this soft cake ass era players, he would take their hearts out. Like Bird, no hand shakes, smiles before or after games, just head forward!!
Loved the video. I liked the one about Larry Bird, but liked this one even more.
He'd make grown girls cry in this Chuck 3 No D league of today
Well that's not saying much because how easy it is to make modern player's cry.
Live these vids. I am blessed to have grown up watching the 80's and 90's superstars. Magic, Bird and MJ just had a certain way to play the game. I can't stomach today's basketball but I guess I am old fashioned. Keep these awesome vids coming!!
If Lebron was in that era playing the Bad Boys, man, he will cry and cry and cry. Lol
By far one of my fave channels. Keep’em coming!
My top five Magic, Jordan, BIRD, Tim Duncan, Hakeem
Great list. I personally have kareem abdul-jabbar in my top 5. To me, tim duncan is top 10, but not top 5. Hakeem aint top 10 for me 🏀
Badass video! Loved the one about Bird as well. Do one on Kobe. He played some back in the grown-man era. He might be a good player to use to compare eras since he was sort of in the middle of the physicality change in the game and officiating.
MJs main weapon is His Heart... His eagerness to win games.
When MJ was a pg, he averaged a triple double.
Bulls went 6-7 during that span lol
@@dynamic6645 That wasn't his role obviously so it wasn't successful as a overall team thing. It was still Doug Collins as the head coach then and his offense was too Jordan centric. Even though MJ played PG outta necessity, that role wasn't meant for him.

I'm glad I was able to see some MJ basketball back in the day. I especially liked it when he finally won his first championship. He and the bulls were so hungry then. The Pistons would do everything they could to stop that from happening, which made it even sweeter. Btw, I wasn't even a Bulls fan lol.
he embarrassed them legends before he was in NBA, destroying NBA in his era...of coz he will kill this era
or maybe jordan play style and basketball IQ was so revolutionar and unorthodox that no one in the league knew how to deal with it? just guessing.
@@cosmeticscameo8277 true, it is rare you see players that can play this game so effortlessly, but also dominantly like Mike
@@cosmeticscameo8277 Yeah but he was in the league for along time if that was the reason you could study him and learn. He was just better and worked harder than everyone else plain and simple.
@@cosmeticscameo8277 It's called staying ahead of the competition. Like the video says, he kept adding more to his arsenal. If you looked at his 80s highlights, he actually tended to lean forward on his jump shots rather than fadeaway. His game evolved every season.
@@John-lq7hs Not to mention that Kobe carried on MJ's playstyle to great success for the next two decades. Of course, copying ain't the same as revolutionizing.
Love your content with all the old-school love. A hypothetical What-If episode would be interesting, highlighting some great players who were stopped due to tragedy or injury, 3 who actually competed very well against Jordan come to mind, Reggie Lewis, Drazen Petrovič, and Anfernee Hardaway. Still the most impossible, spectacular shot was the triple clutch layup against the Nets.

Lebron would get Jordan with one of his unstoppable patented moves that Jordan would not be able to stop: FLOPPING
They both GOATs. I never understood the lbj disrespect. 🏀
Jordan would also have been a far better 3 point shooter in this era.
Hey Clyde the glide Drexler, what say?
I love this channel!
If you don't like Michael Jordan you just don't like basketball I don't care what area you grew up in. He is the greatest.
He passes the eye test and the stat test. Dude’s unworldly.
Praise Jesus Jordan🙏🏾
Jordan was Thanos in the 90's. He beat Mullins, Ewing, Magic, Barkley, Drexler, Stockton and Malone in the playoffs or Finals. That's 7 Dream Team members and 5 of them never won a ring (Magic won 5 and Drexler won 1 w/Houston). Just snapped his fingers.
Keep posting for NBA rule changes and we will come motto on all the social media platforms. Power of the people starts there..
@BTM Basketball Time Machine great video! Can you list the name of the songs please? Thank you very much!
So far, today s game is filled with great Euro Players and their home countries TV Ratings never been so high as over here in US of a declining tv ratings, I just found out Bucks vs Suns in Finals, lol...
