  • For this attic project, the main goal was to hide the wavy lines in the transitions between walls, slanted ceilings, and ceiling and mask the flaws in the drywall work. To do this, we applied bead board panels and trim to the short walls and flat part of the ceiling. What do you think?
Things I learned doing this project:
    -Mark out stud locations
    -Don’t assume things are level
-Use adhesive on the back of bead board (even on the walls)
    -Use trim screws, not nails
-Make trim boards/ceiling panels end on studs
-Make sure bead board ends match
-Overlap the trim on the bead board to help hide uneven edges

As I learned long ago, walls are rarely straight! Luckily not much math here, just holding things up and making templates :)
