I’ve probably said this a few times but you guys are killing it right now. As a younger guy who’s been a bourbon drinker for a little over a year now you guys have been my favorite channel to watch. Bringing Trenton on half way through last year is why you guys are exploding in subscribers. The father son chemistry spews out of your videos and it’s great to watch
You guys skyrocketed faster than any whiskey tube and it’s because y’all are so wholesome and have what all of us want with a father son relationship. Keep up the good work fellas
Glad to see some Bardstown Bottles $50 and under. Bardstown Bourbon has been rapidly increasing production, and it's nice to see that lowering shelf prices of their bottles. Every time I pass by the distillery, it seems like there is a new rickhouse up. Great video guys. 😎
Great video, fellas. I got to try the Bardstown Origin series a few weeks ago. Went to my local liquor store and a Bardstown rep was there letting the staff taste the two new bottles. They recognized me as a regular and invited me back to join the tasting-good stuff! Liked both bottles but loved the wheater. Cheers!
They both are keepers. The BiB is quite simply a bourbon must buy on sight. Fusion 5,6 and 7 were magnificent. The new Origin series continues the good streak.
Hi Kurt, you made a cocktail for Trenton awhile back with Absolute pear vodka with spiced pear laqueur and some other ingredients. Found the st george spiced pear laqueur grabbed a bottle of absolute, but can't seem to find that video. Could you or one of your other subscribers point me in the right direction. Love your channel and happy new year.
I don’t think I mixed both of those in the same cocktail. The Absolute pear would have been in the Fallons Revenge and we did a Manhattan show where my original Manhattan had the spiced pear liquor mixed in.
@@slbdrinks Thanks Kurt. I forgot that was a Manhattan you made. Made the Fallons Revenge. The misses and I really liked that. Actually used the spiced pear in the Fallon Revenge on the 2nd drink. Still good. Thanks Again.
Well remember, their expensive bottles are sourced and then blended or rebarreled for a particular taste. These new great bourbons are their own juice.
If you go to bardstown and do the tour you will understand how they are going to be one of the most dominant players from here on out. They are one of the most transparent companies on the market. They have everything down to a science over there and have a great master distiller who worked at makers for decades.
Tried both of these on a tour at Bardstown. It was straight from the barrel, so I am curious to try them now. I really enjoyed them both at barrel proof.
Trenton, I just saw the vintage vs modern WT video. Had a thought of a blind tasting video. Prank Kurt by having 4ish glasses of bourbon of a non-expensive bottle like a early times or OF100. In glass 1, having 2oz of bourbon. In glass 2, having 2oz of bourbon, with a drop of water. Glass 3 - 1.5oz of bourbon with .5oz of water. So on and so on adding more water. I think Kurt would go crazy and it’d be pretty funny
What are the 5 smoothest (referring to having the least bite or burn down the throat drinking) whiskeys and scotches based on the five categories you go off🤔
As always, great show Kurt and Trent. I don't have any Bardstown on my bar because of the price point for the Discovery Series, so I'm happy they're offering these for a more reasonable price. Now I just have to hope I can find them in Rhode Island because I'd like to give them a try. See you tonight for the live show!
Congratulations on your hundred thousand viewers. I am retired spending the winter down in Florida and had recently gone to the world equestrian center. I asked for a bourbon menu and this is what I seen as the most expensive. Do they seem legit? Van Winkle, 10 Year, Frankfors, KV, 53.5% - 107 Proof $125 Van Winkle, 12 Year, Frankfort, KY, 45.2% - 90.4 Proof $165 Van Winkle, 20 Year, Frankfort, KX, 45.2% - 90.4 Proof $325 Van Winkle, 23 Year, Frankfort, KY, 47.8% - 95.6 Proof $455
Nice review gentlemen! This Bardstown BiB is one of the best BiBs I've ever tried! I appreciate an really good "wheater", like Old Elk and Weller Special Reserve. So I'm adding this one to my "Get-It-If-You-Can" list.
I just saw a bunch of Bardstown offerings during my hunt this morning. What great timing that you did this review today. Have a great time tonight and congratulations on your subscriber count. You both do a fantastic job.
Totally agree on everything. I'm pretty much done with Disco at that price point but I think the two Origins released are great for the price. Looking forward to the rye.
I was actually just down there on the roofs. It is a really cool distillery. One of the guys I talked to said that have 50 different mash bills while other big name distillery’s only run 3.
The white label bourbon 6 year is excellent the high Rye mash bill punches through with a touch of mint and chocolate. It's a bit reminiscent of Old Gran Dad Bonded it's very good.
A distillery in Weston, MO just released their second bottling of their barrel proof that is a high rye I believe. I'm not sure if it's classified as a "high rye" honestly. Its called Ben Holladay Rickhouse proof. The distillery is Holladay. I recently started watching you guys at the end of last year and have been very pleased with every video I've watched. Although I feel like I can't yet call myself a "bourbon guy", I plan to buy many bottles because of you guys. I do work at the distillery I mentioned as a tour guide but I do feel like you guys would enjoy this if you haven't seen it anywhere yet.
Although I don't see any Bardstown offerings in my neck of the woods. I feel there are so many really really great bourbons available everywhere through out the country that are priced $50 and under that i personally do not purchase the $100+ bottles. Great Job!!
Absolutely love these bottles, I think BBC is my favorite distillery these days. Love that they dropped them at these prices, they easily could have been more expensive. Also love that the two bottles are so different from each other!
I just bought two bottles of george dickel the rye version and the superior 12 they are really good . I live in washington state and they tax the hell out of alcohol so I have been buying my bourbon on base and trying new things these two bottles are very good and both under thirty dollars.
I had back surgery last week, so am a bit late in watching. I am a fan of rye whisky. I will venture out this weekend. Locating a bottle of the origin is first on my list❣️ Thanks for sharing
If I could ask what playlist you use for your videos? I enjoy the kicked back style of your channel. My favorite bourbon channel, please keep up the content.
Love the show. If I had seen this show a couple days ago I might have changed my selections this morning. Just came from a family/friends visit to Indianapolis. Yes my family are also friends. While there I picked up a bottle of Buffalo Trace and Woodford Reserve Double Oaked. We were at a Total Wine and More store and loved the great selection. Had to get the Buffalo since it is almost impossible to get here in my part of Ohio. Great show! Keep up the great content and the family connection. Didn't catch the live stream last night, but I'll watch it tonight while enjoying the Buffalo, TonyB
Both look like great options, I will keep my eye out for them. Have either of you tried Bib & tucker bourbon? Seems to be readily available in my area, was wondering how it was looking around the rest of the country. Great content as always!
That Plantation Rum finish does sound lovely, but at that price point, it can be hard to justify it sometimes, especially when for the same price, you can get two (or three) really great bottles
Love the price point on these. I picked up the Origin BIB, but held off on the White Label. I want to try the Disco 7 and 8, but hard to justify the $150 per bottle price. I’m a big Bourbon County Stout beer lover, so I did splurge and get the Bardstown Goose Island Bourbon County collaboration bottle for $170. It is only available in Illinois.
i love how no matter what bottle i find in the wild, i can always depend on you guys to have already reviewed it. i just picked up one of these wheated bib bottles. but before i sip i gotta know what the SLB guys have to say. 😏
You guys should check out Luca Mariano Single Barrel Bourbon. 7-8 years old, distilled by Wilderness Trail using a special 36% rye Luca Mariano nash bill. Sweet as sugar and 120+ proof. Very very good.
I don't know if I would call the white label a high rye at only 36% when the last bottle is at 95% rye. I'm glad I looked it up because rye isn't my favorite but when blended with corn or wheat I do enjoy it.
I'll be picking up a few of your recommendations this weekend. Pikesville, Kentucky spirit, Sagamore sherry and Powers 3 swallow. I hope I don't regret passing up a Widow Decadence
Car aged! LOL..now that's funny! I actually used to always keep a bottle of Vodka in the freezer. I don't remember who started me on that but it worked for me. Again, I'm new to bourbon and I'm wondering what is the best way to break into this. Should I drink bourbon neat, with a tiny bit of water or on the rocks? Should I consider the proof or even the mash bill when making this decision. I generally don't care for mixing bourbon in cocktails because they always seem too sweet or sour to me. HELP!!! Great show again gents and looking forward to the live show tonight!
Re: the higher barley content in the wheater, the 68-20-12 mash bill is the same as Larceny and Old Fitzgerald. At one time we might have suspected that this was Heaven Hill juice but my understanding is that it is Bardstown's own distillate. Keepin my eye out for these.
Oh too funny! "I don't have the best pallet...I compare things to staples, pencils, and Skittles and things..." Thanks for the laugh and putting a smile on my face! Great job as always gents!!!
Love your channel and the great videos you make! Great information and opinions and really like the background music that fits the channel so well. Can you please share the music source you use? Thanks.
I’ve seen the Discovery series for $140 and the Fusion series for $65, but the Origin series hasn’t appeared in NC yet. $50 price point for BiB sounds good.
Great video guys. Agree with the pricing on Bardstown. Makes them tough to pick up for sure. The Distillery Collection bottle I purchased at the distillery has been my favorite, but as good as it was, the $200 price tag may cause me to think twice before picking up another. These two sound promising! Have fun celebrating the 100K tonight! Cheers!
Bardstown with black label looks good. If you compare to Rebel 10 yo which one is better according to you? If it is new I will have to wait few months to get to other countries. Oh well it is what it is . But I will still hunt this one for sure.
I’ve probably said this a few times but you guys are killing it right now. As a younger guy who’s been a bourbon drinker for a little over a year now you guys have been my favorite channel to watch. 100% agree

Great video guys. 😎
Great video, as always. I do wish you'd give us a good close-up shot of the bottles and labels at some point.
Great video, fellas. I got to try the Bardstown Origin series a few weeks ago. Went to my local liquor store and a Bardstown rep was there letting the staff taste the two new bottles. Love to see an offering around $50! Thanks to you both for these videos. You do a great job!
No, unfortunately scammers!
It makes up for the expensive bottles they usually sell.
Well remember, their expensive bottles are sourced and then blended or rebarreled for a particular taste. These new great bourbons are their own juice.

Yes we have been there and have spoke to Steve Nally. A very gracious man indeed and a top notch operation!
Tried both of these on a tour at Bardstown. It was straight from the barrel, so I am curious to try them now. I really enjoyed them both at barrel proof.

"Is brown sugar icing a thing?" Dude you gave a tasting note of "photosynthesis" the other day! 🙂
Happy to see people are loving our origin series. The BIB has been a hit
if only I could find the BiB in my area (Queens/Long Island, NY)
@ 5:35 yessss !.....frosted brown sugar cinamon pop tarts
I love those lol!
What are the 5 smoothest (referring to having the least bite or burn down the throat drinking) whiskeys and scotches based on the five categories you go off🤔
I want to know what bourbon bottle has been on your shelves the longest time and if it will ever be finished.
Haven’t seen this in my area yet.
I’m a fan of their fusion and discovery series. Hopefully these make their way here soon
As always, great show Kurt and Trent. I don't have any Bardstown on my bar because of the price point for the Discovery Series, so I'm happy they're offering these for a more reasonable price. Yep
I got the bottled in bond and thought I tasted young on the first pour. Hoping it opens up some with time.
Nice review gentlemen! This Bardstown BiB is one of the best BiBs I've ever tried! I appreciate an really good "wheater", like Old Elk and Weller Special Reserve. So I'm adding this one to my "Get-It-If-You-Can" list.

I’m glad to see them put out something under ten a year. I’ve passed on discos because of the price point.
Fairly new to Bourbon but I thoroughly enjoy your videos. Very helpful with this new passion of mine.
Same here.fairly new and they have helped me start a nice collection
Thanks for learning about these new Bardstowns and sharing it with us. Definitely going to be looking for that rye in March.
The white label bourbon 6 year is excellent the high Rye mash bill punches through with a touch of mint and chocolate. It's a bit reminiscent of Old Gran Dad Bonded it's very good.
Cali-Bob72. Bardstown. Love it. Hope to see those out here. Thanks for heads up and info.

If you can possibly find the 14 year old Proprietor from Lucky Seven....buy it for a really special occasion. I mean, even if it's $300. Just grab it.
Aged in the car! No ice needed! Thanks for the intro to Bardstown, have been avoiding them due to price. Take care and congrats on 100,000!
Absolutely love these bottles, I think BBC is my favorite distillery these days. Love that they dropped them at these prices, they easily could have been more expensive. Also love that the two bottles are so different from each other!

Thanks for sharing
Hope your feeling better soon!
Got the rye recipe...seriously shot up to the top of my everyday list(or as I call it, Tuesday Bourbon).
I just tried the BiB at Bardstown over the weekend. I think it’s better than Weller 107.
Yesterday I picked up the Bardstown BIB. Although it's not my favorite $50 bourbon , I think it's pretty solid and worth a try.
Nice might have to go pick those up, my wife will excited for the rye coming out later.
I can't wait to try these. I had a bottle of the Fusion Series and enjoyed it. I think Bardstown Bourbon is doing some good things.
Love watching you two. My favourite channel now🙏
Just picked up the bardstown BIB and a old grand dad 114
If I could ask what playlist you use for your videos? I enjoy the kicked back style of your channel. My favorite bourbon channel, please keep up the content.
That Bardstown BNB is fantastic. Its my go to bourbon since Xmas. 👍😳👍
Love the show. If I had seen this show a couple days ago I might have changed my selections this morning. Just came from a family/friends visit to Indianapolis. Yes my family are also friends. I picked up the BIB when it hit Ohio two weeks ago. I think it's pretty good, I would definitely buy it again. Thanks for the great review guys.
Both look like great options, I will keep my eye out for them. Have either of you tried Bib & tucker bourbon? Seems to be readily available in my area, was wondering how it was looking around the rest of the country. Great content as always!
I've been seeing ads for these for a while now. Thanks for taking the plunge fellas. 🥃
Great review. Probably going to my favorite liquor store and grab a bottle of each. Plus they have Rabbit Hole Rye on sale this weekend $50.
Can't wait to join you guys on this monumental celebration!!! Congrats!!
You read my mind. I saw these two bottles the other day and was curious how they compare. This morning I find this video.
That Plantation Rum finish does sound lovely, but at that price point, it can be hard to justify it sometimes, especially when for the same price, you can get two (or three) really great bottles
I agree, love Bardstown and these under $50 are awesome. Price doesn't stop me from purchasing their product though, love them too much.
Can't wait to try this. I wanna get a store pick
Love Bardstown bourbons . The Founders KBS is outstanding ( but expensive).
See you guys tonight.
These look very interesting! Thanx fellas. We’ll add to our list to look for.
I would buy both of those as they are right there in my price point. However, I can’t remember seeing any Bardstown products in Iowa.
Palates are definitely interesting. I did not like the wheater much but I loved the high rye.
You guys should check out Luca Mariano Single Barrel Bourbon. 7-8 years old, distilled by Wilderness Trail using a special 36% rye Luca Mariano nash bill. Sweet as sugar and 120+ proof. Very very good.
Another great video gents! Adding these to my list of "Bourbons to try"! Thanks for the content!
I'm curious how the wheated bourbon compares to Weller 107
I don't know if I would call the white label a high rye at only 36% when the last bottle is at 95% rye. I'm glad I looked it up because rye isn't my favorite but when blended with corn or wheat I do enjoy it.
A "high-rye bourbon" is a bourbon with 20% or more rye. Some say 18% or more rye.
I'm really excited for this release to make it to Virginia. I love my Maker's 101 and I want to compare it to the wheated bonded.
Another Bourbon added to my wish list..... Looking forward to the Livestream tonight!!
I'll be picking up a few of your recommendations this weekend. Pikesville, Kentucky spirit, Sagamore sherry and Powers 3 swallow. I hope I don't regret passing up a Widow Decadence
Will definitely be looking for the BIB. Congratulations SLB!
Hopefully we'll see them in our area.
I love that new bottle and bond from Barstown
got these yesterday they are amazing

Great show again gents and looking forward to the live show tonight!
How do you guys think they hold up to the competition in this price point?
Great video.

Oh too funny! "I don't have the best pallet...I compare things to staples, pencils, and Skittles and things..." Thanks for the laugh and putting a smile on my face! Great job as always gents!!!
Unfortunately, I never see ANY bardstown products in my area. If i ever do, i will certainly try them.
It will be nice to try both! Nice review!
I’m excited to find and try these
Have you guys tried Joseph Magnus cigar blend yet ?
Best bourbon channel, without a doubt!
Love me some Rye!! On my list Thank you
Searching everyday for these since I first heard of the series a few weeks ago. They still have not shown up in Southern California.
Cheers!
Tried the white label, it's excellent! Trying to find BiB.
Staples, pencils and skittles? You had me laughing there! 😆
Great video as always, but wish you'd get back to the camera up close slide by on the bottles while you read the labels like you used to do.
Bardstown with black label looks good. If you compare to Rebel 10 yo which one is better according to you? If it is new I will have to wait few months to get to other countries. Oh well it is what it is . But I will still hunt this one for sure.
Been looking for these haven’t seen them yet
Need todo a blind of the Wheater with MM, Weller
The bottle in bond almost has a wheaty ginger bread after taste to it. Lol
I’m trying this 11 months after you uploaded this video.
Awaiting these to hit Houston market.
I can't find the Origins Series but I am enjoying the Fusion Series.
Now I know what I've been doing wrong, I'm not aging my bourbons in the car! 😂
Another great video boys! Looking forward to tonight’s livestream….wouldn’t miss it! Cheers!
Guys, really enjoy your videos!
I started my bourbon collection with WT101 and Buffalo Trace. Is Maker’s Cask Strength a good next step?
makers is a wheat bourbon so it would be good to try. the 46 and 46 cask strength from makers is also great
@@cartergrishaber4312 yeah, I love that Makers 46.
Yes, try the cask strength Makers. Don't forget to add Eagle Rare, and Old Forester 1910 as you build your collection.
Can't wait to find these.
