micah, Ive tried with multiple keyboards trying to record directly onto both my android and ios phones, and got 0 results. First I connect the 1/4inch adapter to one end of the 1/8inch audio cable, and plug it into the audio out port on my keyboard. (I tried this with a roland rd100, yamaha dgx505, and casio ctk-3000 keyboard.) Then I take the other end of the audio cable, and connect it to the audio splitter, where there is a pic of a small microphone.. Next, I take the other part of the audio splitter with the headphone pic on it, and I connect a pair of headphones to it. Finally, I take the end of the audio splitter (where there is only 1 1/8inch jack-with 3 white lines on it- I believe it is called TRRS cable) and I plug it into the headphone jack on my Iphone 6s Plus. Now how do I test it? What apps should I use to test it? When I just play notes on the piano, Im not hearing anything in the headphones. Am I supposed to? Is there a way to hear in real time what you are playing, or do you just have to have the keyboard audio sounding through the keyboard speakers, and once finished recording, you can go back and listen to it on your phone so you can determine what it will really sound like? In what capacity can I hear my keyboard sounds through my phone? Ought I to hear it through the phone when the cables are simply plugged in, and regardless of what other apps are open? Or do I need to open a certain app like the video recorder, a particular voice recorder, or maybe garageband to hear the authentic sounds of my keyboard? And are there a given set of parameters I must set up within these apps in order to actually hear my keyboard? Will the sound transfer from my keyboard to the iphone in realtime, or is there a delay before you hear a note after one has been pressed? please help.me set this up. Ive been pulling my hair out about this for days- just wanna get the pure sounds of my keyboards onto my phone, and I want to record myself in realtime playing my keyboard and havimg the sounds sync up. thanks for advice anyone here can give me

hello! will this work for the Kawai ES100? it has amp jacks and also a midi in and out. which will work best?
It should work fine
You would plug into the amp Jack or headphone jack
The midi in and out won't work for this on your phone

I tried this, but when I playback the recording I hear pretty loud white noise that diminish whenever I press the piano notes and gradually comes back whenever there's void between notes. How do you solve this?
There could be many reasons to trouble shoot why it is happening.
You can remove it pretty easily with a free program called "Audible" just look up how to use the feature "noise removal"

Neither my macbook nor iphone is registering an external input through this splitter purchased on Amazon: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FB8LCQ7/ref=ask_ql_qh_dp_hza?th=1 Restarted both devices, checked the input settings, and still nothing other than built-in input is being registered. Has anyone encountered this issue? Please help!

Can I record video and audio simultaneously? Like if I wanted to video my self playing piano on my phone with a line in audio record?
That would depend on what app/program you are using on your phone. The phone should record it fine if its using the input audio as it's microphone when you record the video

How can i hear what im playing while recording? As soon as i plug in headphones in the audio jacket my phonecamera switches back to the phones mic. Please help this is so frustrating
The easiest way to do this is the have a splitter coming out of your keyboard headphone jack. One line to use for headphones and the other to record

Yes once it's connected to your phone then you should be able to record on your phone.

Sometimes I get that too. if you can't find where it is coming from you can actually edit it out easily with a free program like audacity. the tool in audacity is called noise reduction. pretty much you select the noise and it finds and deletes it out of the rest of the song. Pretty cool actually.

I've found that I've had that over the years either because
1 bad wire
Or
2 bad grounding

I've tried a lot of different trouble shooting things.
Plug in your devices to different plugs. Try to see what the wires are touching (electrical/static interference)
That type of thing
Then you could always remove the noise with audacity "noise" reduction tool

I've used it for tons of stuff
Like if you have a fan going in the background or any white noise

Hmmhmmm...... It looks like the fp10 has a headphone jack so it should work. All you really need is that audio to come out. Weird

You will need a headphone splitter for that, if your keyboard doesn't have another headphone port.

Easiest way would be to record the audio and video separate and put them back together with some basic video software

hey i jave another question. it works fine like it records, but i cant hear it they the headphones. i play without sound and i check after and the paini music was recorded, but i ciuldt heat what i was playing and had to rely on photographic memory to see which keys ti play. any way to resolbe this?
My keyboard has audio out ports in the back and a headphone jack. If yours doesn't you could use a headhphone splitter like this amzn.to/2UUkhf3 then have one side go to the phone and the other go to some headphones

@@MicahBlakemusic i put the 3.5mm jack into my keyboard and put an aux chord from that to my y splitter. i plug that into the mic part and plug it into my phone. i can hear the background noise but not my piano
@@MicahBlakemusic and i just realized im using the chord from my beats not a regular aux chord. is that affecting it?
That means your phone isn't understanding it's a mic, or try the other side to the y jack (one for headphones one for mic)
It also could be a setting on your phone that you need to "allow external mic" or something. I would Google how to use external mic with your phones make and model
