I'm a non native English speaker and sometimes in this video I had to listen twice the name of the phone. Regarding the details, I really appreciate when you zoom the ultra-wide shots. I think it's not so uncommon to do it in real life, also because a little crop (but still more wide than the normal camera) might be necessary for the perfect composition.

Many thanks for your excellent review. I am a professional photographer and appreciate your close in side by side comparisons using a decent software program. No other reviewers seem to do this. Without Photoshop or Lightroom equivalent software good comparisons are not possible. People often say " no one looks that close, so it doesn't matter." Well It does matter, as it's only by looking at 200% or 300% that the true image quality reveals itself. I accept that most people don't need to know this level of detail, but some of us do, so well done. At the end of the day all phones are just phones... it's all about the camera.
The thing I've noticed is that many reviewers and users call the over sharpened images on Samsung the "more detailed one" but in reality the details are there on the other phones too but they don't over process it. That's why I always shoot raw on the phone.
@@webinatic216 Agree. Samsung always over sharpen their images. I also shoot Raw to have full control. But to be fair, most of the general public with no knowledge of photography need the extra help the software gives them as they do not have the skills or time to do it.

Great comparison! I am pretty impressed how the 5x telephoto keeps up with the dedicated 10x optical zoom lens of the Samsung and Huawei when zooming 10x-30x. Also Xiaomi is on early firmware so there's hoping there will be some improvements

Great comparison. Your conclusion is basically what dxomark also said in their mi 11 ultra review. It isnt the best in a alot of categories, but its close and very good in every category. that makes it a great allrounder, you dont really have to compromise. Now just have to wait til Xiaomi decides to release it in the EU :(

The cameras on all three are monsters for three different ways. For zoom the s21 ultra is king, for low light the Huawei Mate x2 is king and the Mi ultra is the king of main camera photos and that video stabilization is on point and the software mostly take advantage of the large sensor. The most ultra-ist (new word) camera system is the Mi 11 ultra imo, but Samsung and Huawei make cases for top dog. For $1000+, you can't go wrong with these camera systems at all.
I came up pretty even on them all, no way the main camera on the s21U beat out the others. The zoom was def S21 and the ultra-wide the s21 as well. Macro def Huawei. Night was best on Huawei on main. I would be happy with any of these but it is subjective and I would not argue if you liked the s21 better.

Excellent video Ben. Yes all three cameras are very good. Very hard to pick an outright winner. Going down the line a little.. for the money at the moment I think it's very hard not to like the redmi note 10 Pro. Pound for pound I think it's an outstanding phone for the money. Camera on this as well for a mid range phone is amazing.

Could you consider to add test content: how does software matter in everyday usage. Cut, Editing of snapped videos. Integrated tools of smartphone companies. There extras (cloud services, money free services, update tracking, security features in hardware/ software and so on) gaming performance is important for many, but some other topics cound too. Great comparison but two things are to mention: 1st, the Xiaomi"s ultrawide is signifying wider than the Huawei and also quite a bit wider than the S21. 2nd, the Xiaomi's selfie cam has only 1080p compared to the 4k of the S21. So the selfie cam video should go to Samsung.
You can use the rear camera with the small display giving far superior selfie options on the Mi 11, so that is why they only went 1080p. Easy win for Xiaomi in selfies.
@@andyH_England Well the rear display so far doenst work for Video so that can't be the reason. Even if it will work one day i don't think that's the reason Xiaomi went with 1080p. Xiaomi phones always have only 1080p selfie cams and it's not appropriate for a 1400 dollar phone.

Hi! Hong Kong is usually very loud and busy. I just live in a quieter area already and find less crowded places to shoot but it is def one of the most densely populated places in the world.
I really like the method you use to compare cameras in these smartphones. I see others just holding 2 cameras side by side, then try to shoot the same thing and walking around shooting videos. IMHO, that’s not how these cameras should be compared, because it creates different angles from which light bounced to these lenses. Your method I think is the best, because the cameras are being exposed to the same tricky situation.

Great comparison bro, excellent stuff 👌 But we have to remember that mi 11 Ultra just landed whereas S21 Ultra And the Huawei mate phone have been around. So mi 11 Ultra will catch up with some updates and blow anything away.
I have a question. The Mi 11 ultra uses a DtoF Sensor with a 64 matrix. How does this laser focus system work when I photograph something outside the window. The glass would be the object the DtoF Sensor would focus on. So the background would be not so sharp (maybe the phone switches to another focusing system instead?)
Fantastic work again ben you are right all 3 phones seem to have great cameras it just comes down to personal preference and budget ofc plus availability. Some phones are much easier to get hold of in europe from multiple carriers or OEM websites on installment plans.

Awesome comparisons. Main phone is Huawei Mate X2 and work phone Huawei Mate Xs. And just for keeps Xioami Mi Mix 3, i am only keeping that phone due it supports it has support Google play store. Although there is a workaround for Huawei phones by installing Aurora app store, which is basically getting all the updates from Google Play store.

Maybe it's a larger sensor. Because that the 10X module needs more space, they might have used a little smaller sensor

I really like the method you use to compare cameras in these smartphones.
I see others just holding 2 cameras side by side, then try to shoot the same thing and walking around shooting videos. IMHO, that’s not how these cameras should be compared, because it creates different angles from which light bounced to these lenses.
Your method I think is the best, because the cameras are being exposed to the same tricky situation.

But we have to remember that mi 11 Ultra just landed whereas S21 Ultra And the Huawei mate phone have been around.
So mi 11 Ultra will catch up with some updates and blow anything away.
Giving the front camera of xiaomi points against the other 2 is really disappointing. That camera is a mess.

I have a question. The Mi 11 ultra uses a DtoF Sensor with a 64 matrix. How does this laser focus system work when I photograph something outside the window. The glass would be the object the DtoF Sensor would focus on. So the background would be not so sharp (maybe the phone switches to another focusing system instead?)

Fantastic work again ben you are right all 3 phones seem to have great cameras it just comes down to personal preference and budget ofc plus availability. Some phones are much easier to get hold of in europe from multiple carriers or OEM websites on installment plans.

Awesome comparisons. Main phone is Huawei Mate X2 and work phone Huawei Mate Xs. And just for keeps Xioami Mi Mix 3, i am only keeping that phone due it supports it has support Google play store. Although there is a workaround for Huawei phones by installing Aurora app store, which is basically getting all the updates from Google Play store.

I started to love your honest review sir..all these phones are amazing,you made me think about switching to android..in my opinion,s21 ultra is the best overall,i kinda like the colour produced on s21 ultra,most of them are not too bright..very good exposure and i heard they got the directors view feature which is cool to make vlog..thank you sir !
