- The Expedition King Ranch has made a return to Ford's lineup. Under the hood is a 3.5L V6 EcoBoost engine that is pumping out 375HP & mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. On the outside the King Ranch brings a special grill, wheels, rear hatch treatment just to name a few additions. On the inside you will find a country luxury layout with upgraded materials and features. Is the Ford Expedition King Ranch a BETTER luxury SUV than a Navigator?

This is a great suv and looks good in my opinion but I would still choose the navigator over it. BUT put the 6.7 turbo diesel in this and id start a family right now to justify buying one

My son is considering a 2021 King Ranch Expedition. The exterior is attractive. The interior material and workmanship is top notch. Loads of technology. You mentioned the rear seats not being ventilated with heat only. I have personally been looking at several brands of sedans like the Genesis G70, Mercedes E400, Cadillac, Volvo, Range Rover (ventilated rear seat with their high end package). I find most high priced sedans offer no ventilated or cooled rear seats. I believe this applies to SUVs. The options are heated and cooled front seats. Heated steering wheel. Heated rear seats. Some front seats are ventilated meaning fresh air moves through the seat, and cooled which is self explanatory. I know that this particular video is 7 months old but my son and I appreciate your covering the Expedition with the King Ranch package. it's was very helpful. Thanks.
I have the 2020 Expedition 4x4 Max XLT and I love it. The only thing on a Navigator that I wish I had is the massaging seats. Great review!
My dad got a 2019 platinum. It is the new Silver Spruce color and it’s a gorgeous color in person

I just got the 2020 F150 King Ranch, 3.5 Eco Boost. I traded a 2013 Platinum 5.0..That 3.5 is spunky and makes the truck easier to drive Love it

This is one beautiful truck with a ton of features. Glad they moved the shifter from the column but these rotary knobs give me tactile issues. Give me a good old fashioned console shifter. You got me with the banana holder though 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Always get extra warranty with these but they are very nice speaking for segment. Brake job still expensive regardless its a heavy load something gotta give. Joe and crew great job as per usual
Nice looking truck! I’m surprised you didn’t zonk the rear wiper not being under the spoiler like Chevy’s. It does give you something to grab to close the rear window though. Keeps the hand prints off the glass LOL. Thanks for sharing it Joe. Nicely done! 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸

Very nice version of the FORD EXPIDITION.!The first time I ever rode in one( Rode in 7 so far Nice Ladies Ii know drove them) The first time we were in an EXPEDITION was a sad time. My oldest sister Jean,s funeral in Chicago. My brother in law Frank and youngest sister were in the lead in the black EXPEDITION. It was LONG, ROOMY and nice. This is even better.EXPEDITION has improved over the years.I dig the colors, Joe! Thanks, Joe and CROWN VIC, for bringing it to us! No football for me( We have enough with the Chicago bears up here LOL) I could go for some BBQ ribs from the ranch right about now!LOL. i'd take this over a navigator right up until that black label. the black label navi might as well be a rolls royce for 300k off list it's just that nice.

I wonder how some chrome American Force 22" rims would look on that Expedition. I wish they would add an air suspension or a 2" lift kit to the King Ranch edition.

I had a few Questions if you could spare the time....
I’m in the market for a 2021 Expedition ( limited ).
Love just about everything about this SUV EXCEPT the 8” Inch center display system- I think it’s really dated.
I’m almost positive they are making a change to that EXACT interior feature in 2022 ....
My first question is - do you know if that’s a fact ?
Also ... Any EXTERIOR changes being made that you know of ? ( grill, headlights, etc )
I was also curious if you knew when the 2022 model will be available....
And finally- if you were in the market would you wait for the 2022 ??
The Ford dealership I always work with is awesome .... the owner already ordered the color I want
and he told me “No Worries” at all if I decide to wait for the 2022 - they can’t keep EXPEDITIONS in stock !
That being said, I would hate to pass on the exact color and Tow package I want.
It will be at my dealership next month and was ordered Directly from Ford.
I wish I didn’t HATE that display screen so much.........
It’s making my decision hard as F**K . 🤔

I'm disappointed that ford got rid of their signature fender flairs! It's been apart of Fords signature for so long and I myself am gonna miss them. 😢 Especially on the king ranch

Damn. 6.2 0-60 is impressive.
The Expedition and Navigator are aging pretty good. It’s supposed to be getting a refresh for 2022 along with some upcoming features and improvements to the infotainment. Hopefully we’ll see it sometime in the coming months.

@@edwardvalivonis23 That Navigator L is gorgeous. The short wheelbase is nice, but the longer version is something I’d would camp out in for a night. You don’t even need a camper for two. Camping out with a panoramic roof.

I agree. We have been driving the Hybrid version for over 6 years. Been trouble free and the interior looks brand new. Great purchase.

Okay so for the expedition specifically, once it gets the 2022 refresh that gives it the 2021 f150 interior and hybrid and such, it will absolutely curbstomp (yet again) the tahoe thats all new for 2021. My bet would be at this point to wait for the refresh because that interior is something else. Also the platinum and limited on fords suvs being reversed from their trucks just grinds my gears
As for this SUV segment in general, the top trim of the lower brand will be infinitely better than an equivalent priced one from the upper brand, a base escalade is no match for a denali and a base navigator is no match for a platinum

On the trucks the Limited trim is the top trim, but I don't understand why on the SUVs the trim levels are different. Ford should make the trim levels the same across their entire lineup. It is confusing.

Great review but the Expedition's interior needs a lot of work. That's an interior that be belongs in a Super Duty, not an expedition.
In the end for me, the choices would come down to preference. If I had an expectation that I would be doing some mild off-roading frequently,then the Expedition,with its more utilitarian look,would be my choice. If I was inclined more towards highway and city cruising, then the elegant Navigator would be the way to go.
