Well I think it's partially just part of Capcom making Ken unique. He's filling that gap for SF4 players that like FADC stuff. There is tons to play with from it. But Ryu can activate more safely in neutral. If Ken activates in neutral then he will get punished. Not saying it's better, just saying that's the benefits of it compared to having to cancel from something.
JR, great work again my friend! Cancelling safely into VT on block will be a HUGE deal since he can't activate during his mid-screen neutral game. I personally used st.HP xx VT a lot to get my offense going (mixed in with xxx VT throw this is a very scary tactic haha). And I can't tell you how many Kens were blindly cancelling his SRK into VT, fishing for safe FADC-esque pressure. Another thing to test: Can you catch backdashes with a LKT or MKT? If you can then you could do an option select by doing tatsumaki xx VT cancels if they block (and catching them with the backdash if they hit). A few things I'm going to test on launch day are things like jump-in / cross-up aerial tatsus, aerial EX tatsus, target combo cancels (i.e., B+MP-HP and st.MK-HK...I assume they'll offer the same frame advantage as the heavy attack does normally), and maybe even VS step kick or super cancelled into VT (if that even works). Also, his overheads are probably safe if done meaty but they're hella negative OB, so it can't hurt going for his overheads into VT, again...if that even works. I can see Kens using his LKT (light kick tatsu) xx VT as a way to make hit confirms safe (i.e. Go Cross-up tatsu, st.HP xx LKT, EX SRK and if you can safely cancel into VT on either the st.HP or LKT depending on your reactions). EX Tatsu combo at 0:47 doesn't work, unless Ken somehow builds enough meter midcombo to get a CA. Otherwise, good shit. Wish I knew that HP SRK canceled into V-Trigger was punishable. Lost a game this morning because I blocked that string but was too scared to push buttons afterwards.
+Hansford I feel like if you trigger cancel a blocked dp, it is smart in some situations for safety cause you won't eat a crush counter punish, or you could even block I think? In some situations, you might catch them slipping andeven get a punish of your own if they aren't quick enough to punish you.

Thanks dude. I used Adobe Premiere for this one. I jump between premiere, after effects, and davinici resolve for my editing. If you are looking for something free then DaVinci Resolve is amazing. It's what I use at work most of the time. Still amazes me that it's free.
I find it odd that Ken can V-Trigger out of a Wake-Up Shoryu on block (even though it's unsafe as far as I have tested) When I was fighting a Ken online I didn't even know that was possible until it happened to me.... This isn't related but to Ken but what font did you use for this? Music choice was also pretty good!
The font is called Harbara. They definitely tried to give Ken's vtrigger that sf4 FADC feel but it functions way different. That's why everyone is doing dp vtrigger cancel until everyone knows how easy it is to punish it. Huge freeze frame to help lol.
Jay Rego I had a clutch match where whoever landed a hit would have won and when he did the DP, V-Trigger combo it caught it off guard... I was so salty. I was thinking "I thought Capcom wanted people to commit to their reversals and not give them a way to make them safe" but after I tested it out I realised that it's not as safe as it seems. Thanks for your video! Now I know for sure what's punishable and what isn't when I'm facing Ken.
+Roger Adamek can vouch for that. When I started using ryu I was really shy with him and was afraid to try thinggs. Over time I grew confidence with him and eventually realize I implement a lot of frame traps that usually work well for pressure and to have an easier time in hit confirming. It really helps a lot until they start mashing
I'm kinda salty that he is at a disadvantage on alot of those. I've been canceling shoryu and mixing in a grab usually which has been working wonders. I guess if people spam lp they could escape any potential mixup unless i'm +.
You know... I never could get that to work for some reason lol. But the other benefit of doing it this way is that it's easy to reload and test different buttons or actions without having to re-record.

Ken can V-trigger cancel his Hadou, Tatsu and Dp's.. insane. Ryu can Vtrigger cancel JackCrap

DP is all about commitment in this game. There's really no way to make them safe. Actually feels like I'm playing Street Fighter

You don't have to use turbo; you can just set the dummy to jab out of blockstun.
