Makes me wonder if Texas has a Vermont Falls?
These are the deep questions of our times!
As an avid hiker and landscape photographer I was a caught off guard by bingham falls. It was one of the lowest priority falls I had on my list for VT. Boy was I rocked when I finally made it out to it. Easily my favorite in the state as of yet. I have to attribute that to seeing it in the winter though, as I was totally alone and the ice cathedrals it forms is something out of a fairytale.
Great video Adam. Have you ever thought of making a video on the best swimming holes in New England?
Thank you! Yes worked real hard on this. So that's not something I personally usually do and typically stay out of the water features. But It does make for a good idea.
When I’m older I want to try and experience as many things as possible in nature through backpacking and whatnot. I live in New England so these videos really help give me some ideas of more local trails to try. Love the videos!
That is awesome! Glad I give you great inspiration and ideas of where to explore. That's my goal.
Ill be honest...with some bias.. Cheever is the most underrated one you mentioned. Theres actually a few falls there, an awesome swimming pool, leftover foundation from the old mill.. and probably the most secluded.. been going a couple times a year since a baby, and can count on my hands how many people ive seen there ... im happy it stays low-key... great video 👏
O i could totally see that. It was a very lovely hike and I had a lot of fun going there and it was very hard to find, secluded is the right word for it! I'm sure it has many redeeming qualities but I guess in my own biased opinion of waterfalls I found others more scenic and more interesting. But it was so worth a visit I could not leave off mentioning it!
We visited Hamilton Falls last year. Most of the hike is flat along an old rail bed, with a steep uphill at the end.
Yes that sounds about right. Such a great visit!
Awesome stuff man! So much info. You're bringing so much value to your viewers! 👏
I appreciate that! Always trying to bring good value! If only I had time to keep editing lol
Great list! Just found your channel and it’s great to see another New Englander making videos!
Awesome, thank you!
Always enjoy your videos Adam you do a great job thank you
Glad you found it useful! Have fun chasing waterfalls!
Great video - as always! Thank you!
Glad you liked it!
@@AdamHoyt All of your videos will be a terrific resource for planning some day hikes when I'm visiting in New England later this year.
Love Big Falls! We wiggled our way down to the bottom when I visited, but the view was obstructed by a cliff. Didn't want to drown, so we dealt with it
What! I had no idea there was a way to wriggle down there and I honestly would not even get close. That water is way way to strong to mess with!
Vermont!!!!!👍👍👍👍👍
Love the Green land of maple syrup!
You ever hiked MT Philo? Me and a few buddies did it at nigjt back in highschool and it was gerourgous
Nope! I need to go bag that one!
@@AdamHoyt just dont do it at night like we did Coydogs followed us the whole way down lmao, couldnt see them but we heard them following us in the woods
wow. My family had 10 acres 2000 feet from Hamilton Falls. I NEVER knew that falls was there. I spent like 5 years camping and coming there in the weekends what memories. There is a simple A frame house that we left behind there. It is located on Toad Road GPS coord 43.14341, -72.76388 is about the location. If you take Toad road you are going to see a cabin it used to be called Camp 52. That is not the A frame I am talking about.. it is further up the hill that starts at Camp 52. The combination to the lock I am betting is still written in a "secret" place. Ive been trying for 30 years to get back there. We owned that 10 acres on that corner and the people who sold it to us didnt tell us there was a deed restriction that we couldnt do anything with the land. Act 52 or something? . My dad made that clearing that erroneously is called Winham cemetary. Windham cemetary is further up Toad road. If you get back to that area. Id love to see it.
What’s your favorite waterfall in all of New England?
Mine would be the Bully Brook Falls. The main reason is that it is off the beaten track. You have a great chance of getting this to yourself for quite a time. But all of them are beautiful in their own way. Thanks for sharing, Adam, and I hope this is a last year vlog. Or are you having a knee issue again? 😢 Have a great weekend.
Don’t know yet! Still have to visit them all!
Sadily 'Jeudevine Falls' is most likely going to be shut down, the owner appears to have been trying to sell it for about 6 years. As far as I can tell only developers have made offers, yet they want to develop it, so he refuses to sell.
Hopefully it finds a way to be preserved!
Project 😂.
Lol
Please dont litter in Vermont. If you bring it, take it.
Yes of course!
