Guy Tang hair dyes are only made for bleach hair and Aislinn roots weren't bleached
Because it wasn’t permanent dye. She’d have to bleach it to almost white to get the color to stick at all. I used to use a similar product to cover my white streaks and it still only lasted through a couple washes because it wasn’t permanent dye.

your roots at the beginning look like my natural color! they always make me crazy because i feel like they clash with a lot of colors. and if i want to dye my hair darker, the roots will be lighter than the bleached ends 🥲
My hair is steel blue right now (looks like how that shade turned out on Aislinn) and my roots are that same beginning light brown too. I hate when they grow out cause they look so crusty with the grays/silvers I constantly do 😭 I bleach them more often than I should

YES! The two week wait rule. I have been using it myself while growing out my fifteenth million buzzcut. I have so many urges to color it but started waiting two weeks and telling myself after two weeks I can do it. And every time it literally passes and has kept me from coloring it!! It’s been 8 months which for me may as well be 30 years LOL
Every time I look in my bathroom mirror there is a huge chance I will dye it. Trust me I dye my frequently... more than 10 times a month.
It is a pretty color but the roots definitely detract from the look

This just happened to me over the weekend. I was searching your channel yesterday for help. I did the same thing with manic panic Alien Gray and Color x-change power of steel. Ended up with the same exact color 😂

Makes sense. We didn’t pay $10,000+ for a cosmetology school..only for nonprofessionals to be able to get their hands on our stuff.
@@hailiniallapanna I came out of high-school with a diploma and a cosmetology license. Didn't pay a dime. Some states will let you do vocational school through your high-school if you're not "college bound"... Every state SHOULD do this for the kids who want to learn a trade.
They have plenty on ebay, that's where I purchase mine,I haven't had any issues with them!

Hello Aislinn from Guadalajara, Mexico. I actually love the color on the lengths. Very pretty. I get really anxious and impatient when I'm trying to fade out a color too. And many times I've tried to "fix" my hot roots with another color and I usually end up making it worse. 😄 Dont worry about it you're still beautiful.

Dude. The lunar tides magic oracle (their dark green) is bomb. I put it directly over a level 9 orange permanent color that i thought i would like and ended up not being my vibe and it covered like a black root and is fading great (my goal is green tho).
Would totally recommend their dark line if youre looking to cover those roots til youre ready to bleach!

Try artic fox black diluted with a bit of conditioner for your roots. I think it would help blend it in! Good luck:)
You should definitely try Malibu DDL XL it’s a direct dye lifter you can mix with developer or water, I’ve used it on a few clients and myself and it’s amazing! Mix with water to get blue and green out and back to an even blonde tone! I was able to get my hair back to a level 9 blonde from dark blue and green

I don’t know if you can get in the US, but the Estel color off is an amazing color remover it has developer,but it took red, black, blue, green out of my hair in minutes.
knowing what the vision was, I did let out a big oof at the reveal but if I saw it without knowing what you were actually going for, I wouldn't think twice about

I do think the final color is pretty, like a silvery blue opal but very much not what you were going for so I can see why you want to correct again

your roots are the color of my natural hair almost. (Mines slightly lighter) so I would do a deep violet root. When my hair grows out it usually tones it to a neutral blonde. And yours will stick better because the cuticle is lifted where mines virgin. I think it’s cute tho

A nice dark blue shadow root
Charcoal is my go to! It will not cover any brown or dark blonde spots though which is super sad and misleading. Girl i wish I could have told you before this!

To be fair, Guy Tang talks a lot about how his charcoal gray is a pastel color that is meant to be used on level 10 hair

This happened to me not too long ago. I had brassy roots try to dye my hair, purple, my favorite color my hair was raisin at the roots and. Bright purple on the ends, went to go bleach, my hair, a couple of months later listen to the woman at Sally's. She gave me a toner that was way too dark and silver, and messed up my new blonde hair, and had to put a very dark, almost black purple on the top of it to cover up the very dark toner complete disaster😢 also used guy tang's. Collagen powder very effective.

Do your roots a darker color like dark brown or black. It’ll cover up the unevenness and it’ll look more intentional. I love the color though!
If she does that then it will be harder to bleach her roots in 2-3 weeks like she said.

I'm actually shocked that your roots took nothing! And that gray is darker than expected. You, of course, still look amazing. My teenage grandson was listening in and heard you talk about color removers and said "ya, I don't think she's happy..."
Should just get some root spray until you retouch for when you film or go out to hide it the ends look great I love guy tang color
