    The 3 tips:
    1) use watery, liquidy, light moisturizers over creamy onces
    - mix a conditioner with your water inside of the spray bottle
    2) use a humectants
    - aloe vera and make sure
    - look for "mucelage" like humectant
    3) invest in a humidifier or do overnight deep conditioning treatment and rinse next morning
Watch for tips on how she does it 😉

One "issue" about my LoPo 4b hair is the fact that it's extremely shiny, and this made me think that my hair was healthy but it isn't: the cuticles are just so closed that each strand reflects light really well. It took me years of being natural to realise that my hair is not always healthy despite the shine. It's thirsty, got incomplete split ends, etc.

@@cuttinup97 no my hair is very low porosity and shiny

    • @YourMajesty143
      @YourMajesty143 2 роки тому +2

Mine is lo-po, but super shiny bc it's lipophilic (oil-loving). Lo-po only has a tendency to get dull when it's due to protein buildup, but alot of lo-po are protein-sensitive and most know to actively avoid protein (or use it in low doses). But this can backfire too, bc after avoiding protein, I developed Moisture Overload. So now I have to cut back on deep conditioning and maybe even regular conditioning. Even though I'm protein-sensitive, my hair has become too soft that it's lost its elasticity and has too much slip.
I thought that slippery silkiness was a good thing, bc I used to have high-density coarse 3C hair and I always wanted soft silky straight hair like in those Pantene commercials. After decades of abuse with chemical straighteners and deep conditioning treatments, my hair became finer and 3A. I'm slowly transitioning back to 3B by gently reintroducing protein in small treatments spread out every other week. Protein gives our hair structure and elasticity.
Our hair is made of keratin, so even the most protein-sensitive person should get be able to get some kind of protein treatment to balance their hair's needs. The other side of the coin is Protein Overload, but that's an easy fix bc it's usual symptom is gummy buildup that needs a strong clarifying or cleansing shampoo. Moisture Overload is harder to fix and it's taking me some time to correct it, but it's doable with patience. So if your hair is extra shiny or extra silky smooth to the point where there's no bounce (it's just flat) and there's no recoil/elasticity (it's easily stretched & touching causes strands to fall out), you likely have Moisture Overload.

I have found a great routine with Curlsmith hair products and Camille Rose's products. Curlsmith Hold Me Softly and The Souffle Gel are amazing stylers. Camille Rose's cleanser and conditioner have elevated my hair routine. Which is why I decided to try the Curlsmith brand. Kinky Curly Knot Today would have to be my favorite leave in. It's lightweight and extremely hydrating. Before I struggled with styling because of buildup from leave in conditioners on top of my gel. Because of that my hair so dry and lost it's shine. I even was doing that dreaded cold water seal. My goodness I've arrived. Which is why I'm grateful to you for educating us in a way that we can understand and be empowered.

My issue with my 4c hair is extreme tangling, knots and inability to use any kind of tools to assist in detangling my hair. I've tried every comb on earth along with slip products and my hair is extremely soft to touch and it will simply pop off and break. I can only use my fingers. I just read a article and I think I its overuse of protein. I saw this channel thank God

Yess for the information!!! Your hair looks so good sis! I incorporate overnight deep conditioning here and there when my hair is very dry. I try not to do it too often to avoid hygral fatigue (over moisturized hair).

Thanks. I'm so glad you told us what you put in your spray bottle as a moisturizer. That was really helpful. I have my eye on those Aussie Moist products, so definitely gonna try them. Great video.

Loved the video! It was very helpful. My challenges with my low porosity hair is dryness and lack of shine. I was one that thought, if I could just find a magic product that provides moisture and shine. I would be good. After watching this video I learn that there’ isn’t , one product that will give me shine and moisture. Thanks for educating me on the tips to try.

My #1 favorite leave in conditioner is the Eden bodyworks coconut shea. I also heard good things about the Alikay naturals lemongrass leave in and the Camille rose coconut water leave in.

I’m low porosity and my hair gets so dry during the week but I’m going to make some form of light conditioner to spray on my hair a few times during the week. Thanks for this informative video!✌🏽😃

I have high porosity and I moisturise twice a day! lol. I think she said low porosity should do it every other day so like 3 times a week.

My problem is dryness through out the day , I find myself misting my hair by 3pm. I love using Kinky Tresses products, I am going to try the conditioner and water together to see if that helps. Thanks for the great info.

Tangles, single strand knots, dryness. My strands are very thin, which, apparently, isn’t usual with low porosity hair (according to several UA-camrs). I wear my hair in two or three strand twists and keep it in a bun, in order to keep my ends protected.
I don’t have a growth issue, but the tangles cause a lot of hair loss.
