Another awesome video! It’s so moist where I live, I’m gonna retry egg shells now that I know how to apply them. Thanks!🪱🪱🪱
Wow!! This is an amazing video! So much information. I want to bake a coffee cake, brew some tea, and sit at your table for garden talk. I really hope you grow on youtube! You are very entertaining. Honestly!

Thanks for the tips! Had lots of trouble with them in the past!
Thanks for watching. They can be destructive little things
My chickens keep slups and snails under control in my garden, Just a few hours in the garden, and they clear all sorts of pests. Nice video
Thank you. We have chickens too. I love how the chickens and ducks take care of so many little critters
Great tips for slug and snail control.

Excellent overview of slug deterrents. Thanks. Two you didn’t mention, I sometimes use. Firstly nematodes which can just be watered in and they infect and kill slugs. Secondly, anti slug halos which go over plants and they have a lip which makes it hard for the slugs to climb onto the plant. Take care. Mags
Yes, thank you I did leave those out. I had even considered getting the collars for my raised beds just last year.
Where can I buy nematodes to kill slugs? I can't find it anywhere in the U.S even online. Also, what's a slug halo? Never heard of that.
@@tinaholbrook9719 Slug halls are shapes so that slugs cannot get at the base of the plant they are put around - www.greengardener.co.uk/product/slug-collars-hosta-halos/. I get my nematodes - Nemaslug - from Amazon.
This is a well done video. And I just became a new subscriber. Thank you, ma'am 🙂

Very clever very nice many thanks for information love to keep ducks in my garden but I don't have water in my garden which ducks need to swim
I am so fed up with them they eaten 2 my cougert plants 1 tomatoe plant 1 Cucumber plant which is so disappointing 😞I did try the egg shells but I think I needed to thinken the egg shells
At each night I keep collecting the slugs and put them together and put the pellets in there and then cover so they can die
Am so hurt its so hard to start the seedings and then look after them and when you plant in the garden they just come and eat
I need to clear the weeds and cut the plants which have finished flowering
@@nas2876 it is very disheartening to see them wipe out plants that take so much work to grow. This spring we tilled a new area our ducks don’t have
Access to so the slugs will be bad. I’ve started to cut the tops off of clear plastic bottles and place them upside down over the seedlings. It seems to be working for the moment while they’re still young and small.
This is such a great video! Very informative, definitely taking notes. Slugs love to eat my strawberries 😫
Thank you. They are the worst!
Great advice here, I need to keep on top of weeding, I have used egg shells before maybe I'll try again, probably didn't have them thick enough before 🌷😁
I do too. It’s easy for the weeds to get out of hand. Thank you for watching.
Great video! So many useful tips. I noticed wherever I have cedar mulch, there are zero slugs. I guess their tender bodies don't like the pokey mulch. Thank you
Thank you. I believe they also dislike the smell of cedar too. Cedar is a good one to repel lots of creepy crawlers

How to get rid of slugs and snails in the garden
I know I only talk about slugs but it’s the same methods for snails 😁
What about Epsom salt?
I don’t use Epsom salts on slugs. I don’t use it in my garden at all. Too much in soil harms plants. A little in the right amount could help with a magnesium deficiency but I don’t risk it. I have heavy clay soil that doesn’t drain well and my compost and weed tea seems to keep everything healthy.
