Another thing to bring on the river: extra fuel and safety blankets to keep you warm if you do get stranded. River water gets cold real quick

A basic lightweight tarp is useful in many ways like: Pull into land and hide the whole bunch of people under it til storms over. Or hide a failing boat until recovery. But should they fit lights to their boats?

You need a true marine GPS like a Garmin Echomap on both boats, so you can see where you are and follow your trails, and windshield wipers on Cleetus’ boat if it’s expected to be the recovery vehicle.

The best thing you can do for both of the boats, is to put an eyelet half way between the waterline and the bow of the boat. If you need to get towed again, it will stop the nose of the boat being pulled toward the water, thus making it a little less sketchy whilst towing
