Feel like I haven't posted in a month lol
Hell yeah Brother!!
Ive been waiting for this one, after Wilkey came out here, i figured you werent far behind. Hell of a year to, I imagine the water was huge guess we will find out right after hitting reply
Unit I was about to unsubscribe 😆
Your a savage bloke, greetings from Manjimup WA “Western Australia 🇦🇺 “
I can’t wait to see where you go after buying the race track anything is possible!
George was re thinking his life there a few times!!!
Ayeeee my man Tim popping in! What up Tim! Hope all is well!
Like jerry sinefeld , it’s all the others around him that makes the show
I was thinking the same thing. And can't swim.
As we’re his drawers!
those waters look rough even for someone who knows how to swim.
Welcome to Idaho my friend. Couple words of advice from someone who grew up on Idaho whitewater. Keep that life jacket zipped up and secure. That cold water will suck the strength right out of you if you end up in the drink. Also, it's best to carry a throwable line in order to help rescue anyone who might end up in the water. Glad you guys had fun though.
Yeah, It's all I could think the entire video. They make the zipper for a reason, make sure to use it. Northern waters aren't just dangerous for the rapids and speed, like you said, the cold is brutal.
Echo that my friend. Current doesn't care about fashion. Zip it up.
Wise words!
This comment needs pinned!
You got that right HH...also maybe add a BC jacket over the life jacket for extra lift when needed if you get tossed into an eddy.
You guys came during...pretty much the most rain we've EVER had. The river was historically high!
Damn Yellowstone about to up and float away right now
For real. This was by far the Rainier year yet. It's usually in the 90's and clearer water
Pretty much the whole northwest got more rain than usual
"Dew boat will never sink "
A more Florida man in hindsight moment doesn't exist.
It sank 😂
So did. Titanic
George needs a raise with his phone holding skills I don’t think he’s ever let go of the camera
I don’t know how he managed to hold on to it the whole time
If he did would we ever know? Lol
Yeah eh!
@LeatherJacketGuy no, he can't swim so he had a death grip on it
My guy was white knuckling that thing
I don’t know if I’m more impressed by these dang boats or the fact that George never dropped the phone lol

He needs to start cleaning his hull especially coming from Florida to other states
I'm a local not far from where yall were. You guys have balls of steel even with the river running that high. 🤣 To everyone watching, the video does not do justice what they did on those little jets. So gnarly brother! 🤘
I'm surprised that they didn't wait tell the end of the month for the winter run off to mellow and the debri to wash down.
Ps. From utah, Idaho looks beautiful and amazing rivers have to come explore this summer
I was thinking dont fall out of the boat.
With the locals saying its dangerous its defo a stay in the boat situation
@@kzarnold3678 if you're looking to camp or fish, see if a local farmer or rancher will let you use their land, some really nice people here
I live a little further up north in Pullman/ Moscow, that river is gnarly with the water that high. Usually when I raft the salmon its a late summer kinda thing not early June, especially with he snow we have gotten this year.
This was dangerous to say the least haha. One mistake and your gone
"James’s boat not running great? Never would of seen that coming.”

I came to the comments looking for this comment
i love george lmao...hes so funny
Hats off too george if he really doesnt know how too swim and he trusted you with his life his a real one! 👏
and he can learn in a pool its not that hard he wont be the strongest swimmer but still be able to,and in those currents i am not shure if bieng able to swim alone with no life jacked will help that water was wild at some spots

As someone who’s been in heavy water like that, this video was terrifying. Lol.
As another someone who has, it made me want to put in!
Just did this for the first time in a 20’ jet boat with a LSA. I couldn’t imagine what it’s like in these little things. Welcome to Idaho.
From an idaho man, you sincerely deserve a medal for balls of steel. There’s a reason you were the only one out there😅 those jet boats puttin in work!
I'd be absolutely terrified with Cleetus saying "Oh Shit, Bud".
So is Cleeter
I live in Idaho and we’ve been getting record rainfall for over the past month, so this is probably the biggest and fastest we’ll ever see the river, any river in Idaho.
I wanna see them go to Washington and do that😂
I grew up in Salmon, Id, and I concur. Up in Coeur d Alene now, and havent seen the cda river this deep in about 15 years, when there was major flooding along it. Weird and lonnnng spring we had this year!
Welcome to Idaho my friend, my only warning to you is that the waters here are very unforgiving and the landscape is horribly addictive. Firebird raceway is a blast too! You should definitely check it out someday!
just watching that volume of water ripping past the boat ramp would have been enough to send me home
George is the freakin MVP for the way he was holding on to the camera for dear life and still recording usable content! George is the freakin man!!! Great asset to the team!
Exactly when he was 1st on I wasn't sure what he was gonna do for the team but hes a do it at all and a man
Landscape in this video is exactly how every river in scotland looks. Addictive as hell.
I have to admit that looked terrifying to watch alone! The power of running water like that is like nothing else… Great video, as always 👍
The reaction from people who’ve never felt a river that gets its water from snow melt is always hilarious. Western Idaho and Eastern Oregon are amazing. So glad to see this video!!
Especially as early in the season as they went.
Coeur d’Alene in da house! What’s up!!
I remember rafting the Deschutes in the middle of summer and not wanting to go into the water because it shrank the berries so bad 😂
lots of rivers get their water from snow melt lol. as an idahoan, the midwest gets way more snow.

Dude that looks so awesome. Cleetus actually looked a little worried a couple times so you know that had to be a bit sketchy. Maddie probably going to lay the law down on him after she sees this video. Lol
George was puckering up the whole time. Straight comedy. Get him out of his comfort zone more it's hilarious to watch
He definitely had a few code brown moments 😂
In April 2002 I took my father out to Idaho to see his WW11 buddy, Archie Bert Lawyer. Archie was well known, being the descendant of several Nez Perce Indian chiefs. While we were there we went to see the jet boat races. All the drivers involved, had helmets, neck collars, wet suits, and serious life jackets that will keep your head above water if knocked out. You guys are very entertaining but just don’t realize how lucky you have been. Luck eventually runs out. Stay safe and be smart.
We just witnessed George making a core memory... Like he felt that whole trip.
Cleeter, I not sure about those life jackets in a situation like you guys were in….that water is brutal in so many ways!!! If somebody gets in that water, they have to be gotten out quick!!!You guys be safe!!!!!
I had to say it but they should consider helmets too, rapids roll you and your head meets a rock and knocks you out you’ll literally die
Helmets would be a bonus too.
Great video guys. I think i speak for a lot of us here that have experience on swift water, you were doing some VERY sketchy contours with VERY Minimal safety/recovery systems.
As a former rescue team member, we did way more recovery than rescue if swift water was involved. Flipping a sketchy car at the FF is one thing, if you lose a man or capsize on swift water, it starts as brutal and only gets worse. Love and respect brother 👊
Fucking terrifying to watch! love these guys hope they smarten up a bit
Helmets at least! Like come on guys this would be a dumb way to lose a member of the family
YEP! Hells Canyon isn't exactly a Cake Walk even in milder conditions, Best visited in Mid July to early September....Thats some FAST WATER!
@@cyriously_nick2191 shocked they aren’t wearing those half helmets
@@ejgrant5191 this is the salmon river not the snake which runs through hells canyon.
As an Idaho native, I am pumped to see you guys hitting the salmon river with the jet boats! I’ve been hoping this would happen since the first jet boat videos dropped. Your Hells Canyon experience is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of all the power sports opportunities Idaho has to offer.
We need some snowmobile action this coming winter with the McFarland Racing crew 🦅
Don't get scammed
When boys become Men...
i know he did some snowmobiling and got heavy d's ripsaw (before it was his) last winter up by bear lake here in idaho
Not to be "that guy" but can we encourage some helmets next time. I mean every other sport that goes through rapids wear helmets. Seems pretty rational to be wearing one in a metal boat going even faster. Brain damage isn't fun and we care about these guys. Would just really be a true shame if something were to happen.
@@1859ddd you're a true g for lookin out, that's for sure
That looks insane. George was like huge rocks. Cletus was like send it right over the top. Looks like a great time. You guys should be wearing wet suits. Wouldn’t last long in that river if things go wrong.
The Salmon River is known as the “River of No Return!” Respect it, one false move and it could be game over…not worth the likes, subscribe, etc. Godspeed
😎🤙🇺🇸
Love you and the guys Cleet. As someone who grew up around rivers like that and now lives in florida, please remember. You can make a mistake in Florida rivers and it's all laughs. You make a mistake in that river you may not make it. Those rivers are not a game.
George went from grinding intake runners to this?! My guy is living the dream!

That river looks like it’s over full. I seen bad river floods out that way today on the news. Maybe this was the start of it.

As an idaho native that’s spent most of my life running rivers. I can’t tell you how many cringy scary moments and lines you guys took. Honestly was sketched out. Respect that river. Impressed the minis did that good in that water.
I’m from the U.K. and can relate to this so much. His “oh shit bud” summed it up. Capsize in that water and you’re done! They were so close to a rescue/fatal situation.. not one for the snowflake behaviour but 🤯
As a kayaker I was thinking these boats make up for a lot! That waterspead would be a downstream only paddle for me, 0 chance any time it narrows going upstream, cool river to be fair you're lucky to live there! There was that one moment where he sent it into what was basically a waterfall off the back of a rock which was super sketchy (looked enough to force the bow under and fill the cabin), other than that it looked like the vessel had the bald eagles, one time he mistimed the waves but that wasnt too bad as he kept it straight enough.
It was like someone told him what to avoid and he heard, "Aim right at that shit." It was kinda hard to watch. Big rock right under the surface? Let me see just how hard I can hit it. Ya, I'm gonna be over here with the swift water rescue team, you guys go have fun.
Yeah, that river has claimed many lives. So many people don't respect the water and it ends in a very bad way.
Not to mention how fucking cold that water is this early in the season and how quickly your body locks up if you go in.
Cleet knew his crew needed a break after the past couple months.. So he takes them on an adventure like this. what a boss.. You guys did take some awful sketchy lines more than once but that looked like so much fun! Glad you made it and had a blast.

Think about this, people go down these rapids with nothing but a raft, paddles, a wing and a prayer.
I'd probably do that in a raft before a jet boat
These rapids are nothing. The real whitewater is completely impassable in jet boats.
@@barrishautomotive I know that. They are dealing with no more than class 2 rapids I'm just saying people do this shit in rafts. No way I would be out there in a raft.

The statement at the boat ramp aged nicely
Thank you for the countless smiles. I wish to meet you one day.
Nice, you guys are in my old stomping grounds! I worked out of White Bird as a white water guide on the Salmon back in '07. That put-in you used is just about a mile upstream from where I lived out of my van on the side of the river. Had a rattlesnake move in under my van, but we came to an understanding. Good times.
The Salmon is an awesome river for rafting, kayaking, and jet boats. Lots of big, fun rapids, mostly Class 2s & 3s. Enough to be a fun ride but not so much that you have to be a hardcore expert to even go on it. It changes a lot with the flow; at high flow like you guys experienced, there's a lot of big water, but at lower flows the challenges shifts more to rocks and drops. Even a week or two can make the river a completely different experience.
Beautiful country, lots of great camp sites, and the river cuts through a lot of interesting geology and history. Huge basalt columns from ancient lava flows, remnants of old hydraulic mining operations, and some cool Native American stuff. There are areas right off the river where you can check out old petroglyphs, and the area universities have (or at least had) a couple archeological dig sites along the river too. They were usually happy to give a nickel tour for anyone who wanted to stop.
For future reference it's smart to start out going up stream that way if any problems you can float back down or use fuel on way up it takes less on way downstream.🤣
You expect a group of Florida men to have logic shoot one can't even swim 🤣
That would require common sense, and that's something they've never shown any of

Oregon born and raised, the PNW is the ultimate place to test your river capabilities
Even though I live out west and get to experience places like this (including this one), it never fails to impress and amaze at just how powerful and beautiful the nature is out here and it's processes are. As well as this vid showcased it, it's impossible to replicate the sense of raw, power you get from the constant roaring of the melt off water rushing by or sensation you feel through the ground from it rushing through a bottleneck, over rapids or over a ledge/waterfall. Definitely, come out and visit them, every experience is as exciting as the first one is!
