  • Today, I'm reviewing the DreamStation Auto CPAP, the machine I use at home. I've used the DreamStation Auto now for about 2 years, and there are a lot of things I really like about it. This video will cover:
    -Should you get the humidifier?
-What it's like to camp and travel with the DreamStation Auto
    -Noise level
    -Information about the heated tube
-How you can get your therapy data
    And much more!
Overall, this machine has been very good for me and I can see why so many people like it. For me, the quality is on par with any ResMed CPAP machine, and I'd highly recommend it to others.

Appreciate Video clip! Sorry for the intrusion, I would love your thoughts. Have you tried - Franaar Magic Dream Formula (probably on Google)? It is a good one off guide for eradicating sleep apnea and snoring without the hard work. Ive heard some great things about it and my buddy at very last got excellent results with it.

Thanks for the Video clip! Apologies for butting in, I am interested in your initial thoughts. Have you considered - Franaar Painless Smile Formula (just google it)? It is a great one of a kind product for crushing your snoring or sleep apnea problem minus the hard work. Ive heard some super things about it and my friend Sam got excellent success with it.

I got this machine last week but it is not without problems. I had a Resmed for 10 years with no problem but this Phiplips machine has a constant humming noice/sound in synch with my breathing.

The problem most likely comes from an ill-fitting mask. Sounds coming from a machine are not normal and should be returned.

Should air be coming out from the front of the mask, where the front tube is at?

Do you find that that it is good at keeping your mouth from drying out? In other words, how is the humidifier? I love my ResMed AirSense10... but I have had it for years and cannot find a healthy balance between water dripping on my face and my mouth drying out to the point of torture. I have also read that this reservoir holds more water?

Thank you for the informative video! Everything was clearly presented and easy to understand.
I've heard some concerns about a "swishing" sound that happens with each breath being loud enough to be disturbing with this model. Have you had any experience with such sounds?

I got a DreamStation a few months ago. After a few days use, the mask began leaking air from the front of the mask, a steady stream, Took me a while to realize this was not normal. Took machine back to provider, techie confirmed problem. Philips send me a new mask. Used three or four times--same problem! Anyone else had his experience?

I believe most complaints pertaining to noise from a machine arise from an improperly fitting mask. Technology in modern machines makes them all virtually whisper quiet. I have severe apnea with very high settings. The sound coming from my mask is quite loud but disappears the instant I put my mask on. In a completely quiet environment, the sound one hears is just their normal breathing only now they are consciously aware of it due to the use of wearing a mask. After a few nights of use, your body will adjust to the conscious use of wearing a mask and soon you will become unaware of your own sounds from breathing. A simple test for abnormal sounds from your machine is to power it on. The sound one hears should only be coming from the mask. Now put the mask under a pillow. The sound should disappear. If you still hear the same noise as while trying to sleep coming from the machine then it should be immediately returned. Do not allow anyone to tell you that the sound of your machine is normal. Any sounds should only be coming from your mask. My Dreamstation has been a lifesaver.

Previously had the ResMed for 11 years with no problems. Now using the DreamStation for the last month and it's working well, but there is a discernible fan pump noise in sync with my breathing I hear in the early a.m. hours if I awaken. It has not prevented me from going back to sleep, but it is irritating that I hear it at all. The ResMed never had this issue. Completely silent. Could this be a design flaw with the DreamStation? Hoping it does not get worse over time.

I have a ResMed S9 and really enjoy it. I tried the AirSense 10 and returned it. Too loud and doesn't hold much water. The DreamStation seems too big. Why do these companies upgrade their machines so little and take a long time before product cycles? My insurance will get me a new one for very little cost. What do you suggest?

"Whisper quiet" does not describe my brand-new Philips Dreamstation. It sounds more like a small jet engine. Really annoying.

    • @davcar872
      @davcar872 4 роки тому

Is the noise you hear coming from your mask or the machine? If from the machine then you should return it. Not normal at all regardless of brand. I have severe apnea with a very high setting. The air coming out of the mask does sound a bit like the sound you describe but is whisper quiet the instant I put my mask on. My dreamstation has been a life changer.

If the machine drys you out without the humidifier, then apart from taking more money from the consumer, why would philips make a POS machine like that?

  • @bradfennell1600

You may like it and think it’s quiet but you’re going to get cancer or some other terrible ailment due to the carcinogenic foam that is installed in all these machines. Re: Class 1 FDA recall that all people need to stop using these machines.
You might want to take this video down unless you really think it’s up to date about health and we’ll being for people out there!
