- How to change the pressure settings on a Dreamstation APAP. This video shows how to get into the clinical menu on a Respironics DSX500S11. I also have these for sale brand new in the box for $329 free shipping. www.texmedrese...
Auto Cpap machines automatically adjust the pressure as you need it throughout the night. Different sleep stages require different pressure. Using one (high) pressure the whole night increases non-compliance due to dried out nasal and sinus passages. It also increases the chances of air leakage around the mask. Simply set at 4 and 20, the auto cpap is way better than one high pressure all night long. You only need a higher pressure during the REM sleep stage. The rest of the night the auto cpap will lower the pressure according to your individual needs

Not the best for everyone. As in it didn't work for me AT ALL.
Thanks for this. Every couple years I have to UA-cam how to adjust this machine.
Great explanation!! Thanks bro... I fwas wandering why you are the only who tells how to change your therapy. Thx again!! Invaluable help!
Traveling in Europe - My Dream Station Auto CPAP died. The supplier sent me another with no instructions on how to set it to my diagnosed pressure. Watched your UA-cam video and set it from the pre-set 4.0 to my Rx of 9.0. Works perfectly. Thank you Texas Medical Research.
You then help me so much I just got mine and was so confused
You have no idea how valuable this information was...👍
This video is very appreciated
Thanks heaps - was wondering about the black art of setting the pressures. Thsis means i can do it myself now.
Perfect! Thank you!

Thank you my mouth is dry ever since I put it on fixed
Thank you. Very useful.
hi, please can you please tell me what is the difference between a Dreamstation Bipap ST, a Dreamstation Auto SV and a Dreamstation Avaps
And can we use them as a Cpap too
Do I follow these same basic instructionss to turn on my preheat for the humidifier? This machine is supposed to have that option but it was not turned on and I would like it to be. Could you walk me through it?
Hi my Dreamstaion doesn't have the Auto button. Is mine an older one (bought new 12 months ago) Iam want to adjust my minimum pressure to 4 but cant seem to find the location.
Thanks
This is under the clinical menu, in the "Theraoy" section. The first tile sets the mode between CPAP and Auto. If it's set to CPAP, your pressure will be on a tile called "cmH2O". If it's on Auto, the tile will be labeled "Auto \/" for minimum pressure and "Auto /\" for max pressure.
This short video helped me a lot. Thank you!
How do you set the machine to turn off automatically if not being used - say in the middle of the night? Thanks for your reply
Thank you
Thanks for the video,so that means dreamstaation can set to APAP or CPAP?
Clinic said that APAP can be switch to CPAP but not the opposit
How do i check how much tidal volume is generating?
HOW DO YOU ADJUST THE HUMIDIFIER READING TO COME ON? Mine all of a sudden stopped coming on.
Why is your website trying to download and install something to my computer in the background?? I'd love to check out your products, but that seems majorly fishy. Appreciate a response. Thanks.

I have this cpap. My heated hose tore and they sent me basic tubing. Do I just attach the hose to the humidifier part?
What happens when I select "Advanced Menus" ON? Seems all the same to me.
Mine states “Service Required “ it beeps. So I don’t know what’s going on.
How do I get into the setting to do a mask fitting check?
How do I get my machine to start automatically when I put my mask on. My old machine would start as soon as I take my first breath.
In the clinical menu, navigate to "Device". In there, you'll find two settings: "Automatic On" and "Automatic Off". These settings will determine the machine's behaviour when you put your mask on, or take it off.
@@RocketDragons this is what I was searching for right there. Snooping thru my new machine menus I see these settings on same panel as Language setting
i need to get to the default setting - pressure from 4 to 20
My dream station is just beeping
It’s error is “service required”
Pls tell me how to correct this so I can sleep
Please

I change my pressure from 9 to 10 and started my machine and it worked great. But, the next day I started my machine and it's back to the old settings. Is there a way to save my changes so I don't have to redo it everyday?
nomad1269 it should save the changes when you press the button on the top. If not something is wrong with the machine itself.
Thanks for the quick response. I will fiddle with it some more tonight and hopefully it will save the change. Thanks again
nomad1269 let me know the results because others may be experiencing the same problems. I have other machines I will make videos on since I'm in the business and hopefully will help out others like us.
How can I switch off the machine
How do I clean this thing?
Dose the cpap have to be lower then the bed? the table next to the bed now is a bit higher then the mattress?
NO AT SLEEP STUDY THEY HAVE IT ON A NIGHT STAND HOW I HAVE MINE
how do you turn the c-flex function off completely
In the clinical menu, navigate to "Comfort". There you'll find the FLEX settings, and in the first panel you can switch it off. The second FLEX panel is just for the level of Flex.
Philips like a mercedes-benz
But Resmed air sense 10 as Tesla.
Full automatic.
Patients should not change their own CPAP pressure. The sleep study determines the proper pressure and changing it can actually make your apnea worse. I’ve been an RT for 30 years.
Kiki Kaff some people cant afford dat shit
Auto Cpap machines automatically adjust the pressure as you need it throughout the night. Simply set at 4 and 20. Way better than one pressure all night, which is usually too high for most of the night.
DANG that is LOUDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
I'm too old school for all these fancy-schmancy features. Don't need 'em, don't like 'em, don't want 'em. So off they go. But to each their own. I had my previous machine for decades. Yes, decades, plural. Old school, I told ya. Thank you.
I work at a sleep clinic. You are not supposed to make those kind of changes without a script from the Dr. You could develop health issues if you do not use the machine as prescribed by your sleep dr. I skipped thru the video so you may have said this but if not.........you can be held legally liable for showing this and if folks do what you say and get sick.....you can be sued. I suggest in future videos to mention to not make these changes without Dr. Permission.

What 'health issues' are you referring to?
Or are you just trying to scare people so they go spend money at a sleep clinic?
I notice when wearing machine it'll blow slow then high pressure I gotta push button how do I fix
