I've got the special DVD with directors notes and it's hilarious how much details are to be "missed" when you just watch the movie for entertainment and not see the effort and timingskills that were put into this movie... very well written and directed
As she says here (& as J.K. Rowling does), if she had the $ she'd give it away & she DOES, Streisand Women's Heart Health Centre @ Cedar's Sinai cost MILLION$, & as she also mentions she has grandkids to look after. MTM sold entire television studio for $hare$ that tanked, long career no indicator of wealth, wasn't Jimmy Buffet a billionaire?
Barbra Streisand gives nice interviews, and talks about interesting things. I knew she didn't think What's Up Doc? would make any money, but it became a huge movie in the 70s, it aired on network TV so many times, I believe in 1979 it aired twice on network TV. It's my 3rd favorite movie of all time.
The way Barbra bashes her movies is disheartening. I ❤ What's Up Doc? That's one of my favorite movies that she did. But it's her truth. I still ❤ Barbra S.
All that time in the gym room you didn’t have time do actual research lol. By the way do you use those muscles for anything useful or are you just wasting your time and money on feed and nutrition
So Ryan and Peter kept their percentages of What's Up Doc? and made a fortune. Barbara gave up her percentage for 2 million dollars up front, but doesn't consider that also a fortune? To most people that would be a life changing amount of money. Not a criticism of Barbra, but I am somewhat amused by what she "settled for" considering I've worked and saved my entire life and don't have anything close to 2 million to show for all that time and effort. Most people don't.
Worth $400M and complaining she has no money and wishes she was a billionaire so she could give it away? She could give away some of 400M too you know lol
Pay attention, not only did she donate MILLION$ to Cedars Sinai, she did daytime talk shows to talk about women's heart health & how it was neglected compared to men's (of course).
Why not? She played a constantly broke go-go dancer in “The Owl and the Pussycat” and a middle-class housewife in “Up the Sandbox”. A good actress can play any part convincingly.
@@mrwritestuff1it's not the diner waitress aspect that would have been the problem. It's the barely adequate saloon singer aspect that would have made her an absurd choice for the role.

He managed to get a pretty good interview. She's relaxed and honest, sharing some stories we haven't heard before. Good for him.
20 years ago, Barbara would not have sat in the same room with Howard. How they both have changed to collaborated in a wonderful interview.
Yep!
I think she's stopped taking herself too seriously and just wants to connect with people, be herself, and have a good time.
I love listening to Barbra talk.
“What’s Up Doc” was a great movie, also “Foul Play”… 1970’s gems
Goldie Hawn was in Foul Play … great film
She was very funny in that, and likeable too.
❤❤❤ after all these decades I still love Barbra

She was great in comedy films. She can do drama, comedy and sing. Takes a lot of talent and energy.
She looks great.
Love her ❤❤❤
Fantastic for 81.
She really does.
My favorite interview by far . Lov you Barbara!
Thanks Howard huge long time fan here .
You love her so much that you spelled her name wrong.
@@bobabooey4537 thanks boBa dyslexic a bit .
@@bobabooey4537 Grow up.
Oh my goodness. Stern. Streisand. I'm in heaven 😍
Is that you Jason?
She sold her share for $2 million up front guaranteed which is the equivalent of a $14 million deal in 2023. she did great on that.
Well done Barbra Streisand I love you. You are so honest. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Now I wanna watch a version of Alice with her
That interview was 2-1/2 long
@@alexwright7803 So?
What's up Doc? Such a great movie. Lol. I laugh just thinking about some of the scenes.
Hysterical movie yes. All the characters. That was Madeline Kahn’s debut movie.
She's worth about $400 million, she's doing ok
Great news, as it's depressing to hear Barbra friggin' Streisand state she doesn't have much money.
@@slc2466She has a fortune NOW. The film she is referring to came out over 50 years ago!
@@JloveLamar Understood (saw it as a kid several times). I thought Barbra was stating she still needed money and had to keep working.
Her lifestyle is expensive. I would shudder to think what her monthly outgoings are.

‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ is Martin’s latest masterpiece 😎👍

Must must watch “ WHATS UP DOC “
I was in love with her in a Star Is Born
Barbra is everything
Since Howard stern interviewed Barbara Streisand . I love if Howard stern would interview Joan Collins.
Her name is Barbra
GI Jane 2, cant wait to see it.
Oy what a great Interview.
Where to find full interview? Thanks.
Still good looking too
You've got to be joking..
Of course when you’re older you want family around. Family should always be a priority, even when young and you have a lot of stuff going on.
Thank God she sings and we are happy
Such great insights.
National treasure.
Universal.
Where can we see the full interview?
Wonder as well.

Yes it’s her truth nice 👍🏼
Barbra is amazing
I dare you to ome up with an adjective other than "amazing".
Are you capable of doing so??
He needs to sto talking over her
She gives away a lot of money. Look it up.
Night time is Calm Time.
Shes probably talking about business money not personal money
When did Howard get so nice?
She is worth 400 million dollars. She's fine!
She should have done more interview. Her book didn't sell well.
She’s worth over FOUR HUNDRED MILLION!! GTFO.
Why would her opinion of a movie be more important than anyone else’s?
That book cost $47.00! Hello Library Card!😂
battle of the beaks. F Jackie
She's worth $400 Million... lol
Do you have access to her bank account and investments to know that?

Wow
We are the same person. Is that how everyone feels?
Splash????
I thought the same thing. Can you imagine her over Daryl Hannah?
Me neither.
@@goodpainlive1 In fairness Daryl hannah deserved that part in Splash. Anyway no fear of Barbara Streisand things worked out well for in the end.

She worked for it!
@supaaareethats still pretty awesome. Maybe she even has little workers too
she didn't say she was "poor", she said she wasn't a billionaire.
You need to make money to keep that lifestyle. Not rocket science
She made her fortune singing
I wonder if Richard Simmons has seen this?
I just read she’s worth $915 million and her house is worth $100 million so he knows what he is talking about but she down played it.
Barbra has an estimated net worth of over $400 million dollars and she is kvetching?
They all do. It's their m.o.
That's because their expenses are much higher than ours.
Don't forget that James Brolin has a bit of coin himself. His net worth is estimated at $50 million.
@@tomtom8786 Their expenses are higher because they buy more s**t. Streisand has a whole shopping mall under her house. True story.

Barb Barb Booey....
She does not look 81 lmao
Barbara Streisand and Howard Stern?!! Okay.
Her name is Barbra
I would trade most of these too long and marginally interesting interviews for 10 minutes of a new sour shoes imitating Booey
Howard is popping on his mic, FFS.
Gee, Babs, you've really had it tough. Imagine our sympathy.
Stern Mr. Politically Correct, all these woman he has interview would of love to see Stern dead, now their being interviewed by him.
Splash? I doubt that. The stupidest thing she did was to turn down Julia. She has admitted that.
megastreisand wouda been a great movie
I notice how Howard asks a question to Barbra, then proceeds to talk over her....
A good interviewer will normally listen.....
Worth $400M and complaining she has no money and wishes she was a billionaire so she could give it away? She could give away some of 400M too you know lol
it's her money so don't tell her what she should give away
SHe does give away alot through her foundations.
She has given millions away.
She and Sinatra, along w Dustin Hoffman, are amongst the most philanthropic of all celebrities. It is a matter of public record...
Pay attention, not only did she donate MILLION$ to Cedars Sinai, she did daytime talk shows to talk about women's heart health & how it was neglected compared to men's (of course).
That monotone blonde really washes her out
Poor baby, she didn't make a fortune with 2 million dollars on one film. Give me a break.
100% maybe she should get paid $15 per hour and learn some humility.
@@niclesnyc She used to make that much before, so don't be so judgmental. Stars now get 50 million dollars per role...
She said she wished she had the money to give it away. Sounds humble to me.

SPLASH??????
I'm shocked that Streisand would agree to talk to Howard Stern considering his past treatment of women. Am i missing something??
He's not the same Howard
He’s not the “shock jock” he used to be anymore
