What a gorgeous, voice, Jason, and what an amazing duet you did with your mother...and you're speaking about death...such a thoughtful and important topic. What a lovely interview.
Jason is obviously incredibly talented, gorgeous voice but what impresses me even more about him while listening to this interview is what a lovely person he is, he exudes such kindness and loving energy.❤💚❤️
Oh my goodness…….Mr. Jason Gould, you gave me chills. Not just small “goosies” either. Absolutely Brilliant. Please keep singing. Now I am off to find your music ASAP💫
I've watched Jason blossom, professionally, since 'The Prince of Tides'. He's an amazing artist and you are justified to be so very proud of all he is. Much love to you both.
And was he ever handsome in Prince of Tides.!! Still is, I named my son Jason after I heard Barbra has a son named Jason. That was 41 years ago I had a son. Yes, I'm that old. 😉
I understand not wanting to be a public person, but so happy you give us glimpses of you. Great music, such talent. Your mother has every right to be the proud mom.
Dear Jason, I just wanted to let you know how your first EP released in 2012 has helped me through a rough time. I had bought it at your mother's concert in Montréal on October 15th 2012 and couldn't stop listening to it, especially to the song HELLO. I loved its music, the arrangements and the atmosphere of it...not really focusing on the lyrics...until a month later when my brother committed suicide. At the moment, the words hit me like thunder, talking about the death of someone you didn't have the chance to say good-bye to. I must have listened to that song hundreds of time 'cause it was really describing what I was going through. It really helped me release all the emotions I was feeling during that dark time. I especially liked the bridge part of the song : "I'll meet you where the stars And the sun run out of sky Where the mem'ries of our lives collide Where the time will run away Where the moment never dies Forever you and I" That really connected me with my brother. So thank you very much to have dared offering a song approaching the theme of "death" which, like you said, will be something we'll all have to deal with at some point in our lives. I'm looking forward to listening to your DARK GREY SKIES album and DANGEROUS MAN which I didn't know had been an album following your first EP. So thank you again !
Wow! Just Wow! This interview shows a person who has so much to offer the world as a human being. His voice is wonderful, but I am touched by the person I see in the interview. To be so totally authentic as a person is so rare. I'm excited to listen to his music and learn more about the person he is. Thank you for a great interview.
Dear Mister Gould, I love your voice, your music , your personal interpretation ! Whatever people like this or not , you have already won .... You are yourself at last ! Friendly, Sophie.
Dear Jason, One day after having a stroke in 2008, I could no longer sing. Or whistle. Or read, Or walk. Or play the piano. That frontal lobe was telling me, WHAT ELSE CAN YOU DO? I cried all day, then bit by bit got on with my life I kept thinking, I bet Ms Streisand could help me to learn to sing again. Fourteen years later, at 81, I can sing some bits in perfect pitch! Still cannot whistle!
The first time I heard "How Deep Is The Ocean", I thought, my God, this man has a fantastic voice. And now, judging from this interview, what a wonderful friend you must be to anyone who knows you. I know how proud of you your mother must be...And it's well deserved! Whenever I hear "How Deep..." I always think of my own Mother, who passed in 2006. There are so many times I still think of her, and it's not the big things that mean so much, but the smallest, simplest, sweetest things that I remember about her that bring out my deepest feelings. And that song says it all! Thank you so much for just being you! Take care.
Love his comment. “I don’t want to die with the music still inside me “. I used to sing but circumstances in my life did not afford me to continue. Then you get older and as they say, “if you don’t use it you lose it” and I just lost it. In fact Barbra was my mentor and I was able to sing most of her music. My husband was over the moon with my voice. However, every time he hears one of her songs, he asks me to sing along and I just can’t anymore 😢 Jason has a beautiful voice.
BOTH Parents are talents, I have followed them over the years. Now, I have a third family member on my list. I do apprieated your voice. Thank you for sharing it with the world.

Thank you Jason for overcoming your fear of singing . Your Student Film you made I think I'm 3000 views of the 10.000 I love it. That took balls your music puts me in a place of peace this past 2 years iv over come cancer 100 clear and your soothing tones were perhaps a part of my recovery ...Thank you Jason
Fascinating! It’s been obvious for a long time that Jason has a great musical talent. But as I watched this interview, I was struck by how his humor and mannerisms are much more similar to his father, Elliott Gould, than to his legendary mother.
Thank you for this interview! I am such a huge fan of his. What a gorgeous voice. I saw the Hollywood Bowl performance and it was unforgettable. I’ve played his cover of Nature Boy on a loop often. What a true talent and so cool to watch his mom be so proud❤️
You are so right about death, so many fear it because of the unknown. I embrace it to meet my maker and to ask questions , a lot of them lol. I’m Jewish too but I embrace the Tora with life and love just like mom made Yentle that was my fav movie your mom did.
I get the same "OH, yes!" thrill down my spine hearing his softened resolve at the end of a phrase as he romances the song with his gentle manly voice as I have always had listening to Barbra's voice advocating for the feminine experience.
I like his style. It’s good music. I also like that he likes to talk about spiritual, mystical things, like what’s on the other side. He’s a very open person.
We don't see Jason that much in public or maybe it's just me. He was so eloquent, composed and thoughtful in this interview. Hopefully, we see more of him in the future.
Wow you are amazing in your own right, I’m sure your mom is so proud of you and what a beautiful song to sing with mom. You are so great I’m in amazement in tears. You are your mothers son and handsome as your father
What a lovely, wise, and humble soul. It can't remember how I came across Jason Gould's EP on UA-cam a few years ago, but at first listen, his voice literally stopped me in my tracks from what I doing and I was absolutely mesmirized to the point of having to hear the entire project through before doing anything else. Not unlike his mother, who I've listened to since I was a small child , Jason is a timeless talent that I look forward to enjoying for many years to come.
Jason is humble and so refreshing to listen to. He has a soothing presence as if you could sit down with him and he would get you. Great guy. Wonderful voice.
I was so impressed with Jason Gould, seems like someone who would be a good friend. I never leave comments but this interview touched my heart. Your voice is really nice to listen to, its beautiful.
Jason, you keep comparing yourself to others. Don't do it! You have a great talent all your own so be proud and thankful for what you have been given to share with the world. Just remember it is all YOURS and no one else's. Now go forth and SING!
Jason Gould ---you are as they say:the teal deal. I love your philosophy and it comes through your voice. A gentleness with a strength that drew me in immediately. Thank you for sharing yourself
He has a very beautiful voice. He gave great advice that you should do something you always wanted to do even if you’re afraid do it anyway before you die. I needed to hear that. Because I’m sitting on my behind too afraid to move forward. Constantly, making excuses. And there’s no reason for that madness. Live while you have the opportunity. Good luck to your son. And thank him for me for pushing me off the couch. ❤️🙏🏾❤️
What incredible talent Jason has!! His voice is like butter, so phenomenal like his Mom! His father was a gifted actor too! Mom takes the "Oscar" for her acting and director talents❤ Thank you for sharing yourselves with the World 🙏❤️
One of my favorite songs in the world is "Morning Prayer" on Jason's debut album. I listen to it whenever I need to feel peace. It takes away all stress and feeling of being overwhelmed. It truly is like a morning prayer.
@Jason Gould ♪ How could I not...for the kid of celebrity parents you have this incredibly beautiful soul that shines through in everything you do. Please don't ever stop singing or just being you. You really are beautiful!!!
What a humble and talented man--I love your music, Jason. There is also a sadness and world weariness about you--that is evident in your choice of song but also in the way you move beyond the superficial to the tough realities. From the Jewish scriptures--Ecclesiastes 7:2: It is better to go to a house of mourning than to go to a house of feasting, for death is the destiny of everyone; the living should take this to heart.
Jason quit hiding yourself and sing! You have a beautiful gift,it would be sad for you to keep it to yourself. I would have loved to have what you have, please continue to sing, don't let it go! Don't let your shyness and insecurities or whatever it is keep you hidden from the world. Embrace your gift. The world is missing you. We need good talented people like yourself, there's alot of fakes out there, that think they can sing. We need you! 🤗 I've realized it was your moms birthday not too long ago, I like to say " Happy 80th Birthday Barbra " ,she's my 1#favorite singer! Many more Happy Birthdays to her! 🎂 🎈 🍾 🥂

Beautiful! Love both voices, separate and magically together. The pride of both these treasured performers is SO moving!
He seems like a kind and humble soul. Great interview!
✌🏻🙂✌🏻
Thank you Jason for overcoming your fear of singing . Your Student Film you made I think I'm 3000 views of the 10.000 I love it. That took balls your music puts me in a place of peace this past 2 years iv over come cancer 100 clear and your soothing tones were perhaps a part of my recovery ...Thank you Jason
Fascinating! It’s been obvious for a long time that Jason has a great musical talent. But as I watched this interview, I was struck by how his humor and mannerisms are much more similar to his father, Elliott Gould, than to his legendary mother.
I just heard him singing on one of Barbara's albums and thought who is that great voice! well now I know, they sounded just fabulous together.
Thank you for this interview! I am such a huge fan of his. What a gorgeous voice. I saw the Hollywood Bowl performance and it was unforgettable. I’ve played his cover of Nature Boy on a loop often. What a true talent and so cool to watch his mom be so proud❤️
@Jason Gould ♪ ❤️
His voice has the warmth like his mother’s. The most amazing voice of all time. Such quality is so rare. He could be a great star.
You're a lovely man Jason, with an exceptionally beautiful voice!
Don't die with your music still in you. I will remember this all my life.
We don't see Jason that much in public or maybe it's just me. He was so eloquent, composed and thoughtful in this interview. Hopefully, we see more of him in the future.
You should be sooo proud. Jason is handsome and talented. He's your apple that didn't fall far from the tree! Brilliant duet! ❤️
Beautiful voice. I loved seeing him at the Hollywood Bowl.
Wow you are amazing in your own right, I’m sure your mom is so proud of you and what a beautiful song to sing with mom. You are so great I’m in amazement in tears. You are your mothers son and handsome as your father
Wow, Jason has quite a good voice and he seems like a kind and thoughtful man. His spirituality and musicianship are worthy.
What a lovely and articulate gentleman. He also has a beautiful voice.
He's so sensitively articulate...lovely in every way!
Jason, you keep comparing yourself to others. Don't do it! You have a great talent all your own so be proud and thankful for what you have been given to share with the world. Just remember it is all YOURS and no one else's. Now go forth and SING!
Absolutely beautiful Jason👍🏼 what an amazing voice you were so blessed with💖 Never give up🙏🏼♥️
I truly enjoyed this interview 💜
So real and down to earth.
Jason Gould ---you are as they say:the teal deal. I love your philosophy and it comes through your voice. A gentleness with a strength that drew me in immediately. Thank you for sharing yourself
What a beautiful soul Jason has. I’m blown away by what I’m hearing for the first time. Also, I love this video too.
Mom takes the "Oscar" for her acting and director talents❤
Thank you for sharing yourselves with the World 🙏❤️
One of my favorite songs in the world is "Morning Prayer" on Jason's debut album.
Such an amazing transformation that Jason went through after "The Prince fo Tide", for those of us who knew him before........Love, Angel
He looks like his mom.........Seems like a really nice guy. Good for him.
Barbara you are certainly right about that! Jason is a great singer in his own right! Your duet together was just Delightful! Love to both of you! ♥️♥️💋🌺🎶🎶🎶
I have been a follower of Barbra since seeing her on Broadway in 1st show. She should be so VERY PROUD of Jason and his wonderful voice! I will now follow him. Be a wonderful LOVING FAMILY.
