That’s what I thought too, reminds of early concept art for Mortal Kombats, Kintaro. I’d be tempted to see if this head sculpt can swap with the storm Collectibles Kintaro head sculp.
The Kai set is sick and definitely elevates this figure. It solves the biggest issue I have with it is that a lot of the sculpted clothing and accessories just get in the way of being able to pose it. I have both this figure and the werewolf William, and I think William is a bit better imo. Still, Weng is great I'm happy to have him. I also wanna give Maestro Union kudos for including those comic books with each release. Not many companies do that anymore. Anyway, also want to thank you for putting in the effort to put out reviews so consistently, D. Please take care of yourself first and foremost!
Solid review as always. I had to use my drill to make some mods to the ports in the wrists and shoes/feet. I had to make them a bit wider, so I wouldn't have to use hot water or my wife's hair dryer every time i wanted to swap parts. It greatly enhanced the playability for me. I may or may not bust out the exacto knives and carve some of the plastice from the lower abdominal socket. Given what we paid for this, all of that shouldn't be necessary, but it greatly increased my enjoyment of the figure. Also, I really need to get the soft goods pieces that you reviewed. Very nice.
Thank you for bringing attention to the way the pants gets caught. I used a nail clipper to cut off that extra piece of plastic, and it's so much better now.

Love this review and the Blade Master and Veteran Williams. Theres certain i like on one figure over the other but this especially with the kai labs added to it just makes this figure special beyond even what i expected. Tiger and Wolf on my top 5 favorite animals too, so i gotta get these figures yo. The articulation for what your getting is peak, accessories look good and fun to play with and pose! This will go great on my main shelf, cant wait to collect these pieces of art.

Shame that the cloaths arnt all swappable out with a regular were-beast option like Werewolf William. Would have allowed for a cool beastly figure or option to add soft goods.
The little pouch is for tabacco and Can be hung on the little Hook of the pipe. The rope is meant to be attached to the handles of the box for strapping

I preordered him over a year ago from Big bad toys store and all they keep saying is that it shouldn't be too much longer now before I get him. I also placed a order for the Unnamed one that's basically a Rabbit Samuria figure.... Great looking figures
This thing is VERY cool! What is the best method to remove the hands? Even when I heat them with a hair dryer and wear leather gloves, I can't seem to get a good enough grip on those hands to get them off.
I have him on display with my Memory toys panda with the kung fu soft good set they had. And I got a few of those Base animal warriors of the kingdom figures and through some samurai soft goods on them. It looks great. Can't wait for all the other animals they have planned.

Its a shame he also didnt come with a 'naked' option like the Wolf. But its not a make or break issue. I need to save up for both these figures. What I enjoy about your vids is the different poses you show the figures in, at the end.

Similar experience i went through but for Veteran William. Made me put this tiger on the fence and i m happy i did. Also worth pointing that the paints for these furay figures feels cheap and rubs off pretty easy around articulation areas

I'm fine with the paint & plastic. No issues. BUT...switching out his hands is a BITCH!!! I use hot water on it every other time. The more I've switched em out it's gotten easier tho. Other than that I love the fig
I'm so angry at myself that i cancelled both William and this guy, cause my parents ordered them for christmas but i decided to cancel them cause i thought it was too risky since they're third party, but now i'm sorely regretting it. I'll definitely get them at some point though.
Well, the good thing is that you can possibly take advantage of this to order the white variants exclusive to the Bombusbee store. Weng's white version is a simple color swap but William's white version has a different outfit and weapons than the regular figure.
