Sooo back in roman times there was alot more gold but the mined most off it in the uk and down south where I am the tin streamers cleand up the rest once the gold is gone it's gone but the romans didn't make it all the way to Scotland soo there is still a few odd spots
Gold is gold it’s just an element. It has no characteristics once it’s smelted. All good was made in a distant supernova so it’s the same wherever it was found.
Soo in the uk the gold belongs to the royals, you need to make sure you have landowners permission also check weather the areas are sssi or any restrictions another good site is this www.sepa.org.uk/media/219101/national-gold-panning-position-and-good-practice.pdf
@AlexanderTheHighlander it's a fantastic hobbie it can be frustrating at times there is places in Scotland when you can obtain permits from witch will help massively a simple good search will help

@kingkush4476 haha alot off people don't realise untill the see it for themselves I would recommend buying lea Palmers book gold occurrences in the uk 😉
Ahhh the painted hematite rocks they where used just for a statement as that's what people think us as gold prospectors find but in reality we're lucky to walk away with 10g after a good 2 -3 weeks off prospecting witch I think the title reflects that
@@Englishprospector not bad its still like 45 - 50 quid a gram but i think thats the 24 value , most uk gold is below 10 purity . Still at the very least £100🤷♂️

Agree but imagine you are the first person to ever put eyes on that peace off au or even to have ever touched it since the supernova
