Epic adventure, what an awesome spot. With little main man on point, no worries on the prospects mate. I really love this spot. So peaceful, so verdant, so goddamn ancient and cool for Scotland. What a privilege to find that honey hole. Im buzzin Lewis. I feel your joy. Great work. Keep working the magic and enjoy the trip and the buzz mate.
thanks Joel, glad to share and to see the enjoyment it is bringing! nice 1 buddy

Wow!! Can't believe they pans mate! You've hit it big time there! Was only a matter of time though! Well done mate great to see 👍🙌👌
Amazing find! Time to set up camp :)
@@northernpickers absolutely! Love seeing gold in other country’s! I am in BC Canada. Hope you’re having a great year!
Inspiring stuff Lewis
Happy Days Bro
I said to my Gran last year im going to find enough Gold to make her a ring...
I Did find Gold in a river not supposed to have any but not near enough - so any new tips welcome bro. She's nearly 80 n since on Oxygen at home. All the Best.
Well done on your sleuthing Lewis. The midges don't give up their prize easily.
Not one but two sunbaked nuggets! Nice job mate, the research paid off. I didn't know the gold up there was so good!
Crazy steep🤣 I would love that gradient in Idaho. Main Man on point. Nice work Lewis. Keep it coming.
Hard to imagine such places still exist. Bet heart was racing congratulations on the find. like the video. Well done.on finding it.
@@northernpickers Have to mention I can't stop watching this video, Put a smile on me face. Magic mate. 😃
Lol. Good one. And this stream has been overlooked in a thousand years of prospecting all over Scotland. Hahaha.
have had many better days pete! and when the time is right i will show you buddy! nice 1
Ive been buying Scottish paydirt off ebay and amazon for years. Its there and will be forever due to erosion and rain 👍.
Amazing pal! Just bought my kit and heading to North Wales in a few months, got a pay dirt bag just to get the feel of panning .
Dang ! That's a Great Spot, with some Awesome Gold ! You need a Beekeepers Suit to keep them F-ING Flys off.
GL&HH
Well done lewis you must have hit a super lucky spot mate I've been up and down that burn quite a few times and all I found was a lot of that white stuff and not even a speck of gold.... well done
nice 1 buddy, same here! we've put some hrs in here. seems to be better as we go from the base upwards!
Are these places in tyndrum area or lowther hills area? Those are the two places to prospect in scotland right?
Hi, what a lovely spot. 😳. Well done. Im new to the "hobby" 😂 i mean obsession. Tried Cornwall a couple of times and got some flour and crumbs. Off to wales this weekend. 🤞.
Nice one mark,, hope you had a good trip, just back from a long one our selfs! happy days mate
@@northernpickers lovely weather and back home with a few buckets of cons to pan at leisure. 🤞
That was great. Don't think i'd let it out where i found it, otherwise the next time down there it'll look like the old-timers were there. They wouldn't leave a stone unturned. 🙂
Well done bud u smashed it the day. I thought u were gonna fall over when u revealed that first pan.👍 u hit the jackpot with that 1. Good idea to tie a rope off to a tree can really help getting up and down those steep hills especially at the end of the day 🤣 quite handy to get to some places u can't normally get without going 2 mad. 🤣👍Well done bud.⚒🏴
Thanks hm, gonna be back on here very soon, some amazing climbs around here for sure, nice 1 buddy
@@northernpickers was out today testing few spots got a wee bit of flower gold but nothing to get excited over.
Amazing location!
MineLab do a great little fold up waterproof metal detector. That and a pinpointing detector I reckon you will find sooo much not visible to the eye on the walls and crevices.
You've gained a follow from me.. (a Southey wishing he was up north panning!)
nice 1 Greg, i have a mine lab go find 44, it does help but need to get a better one! its all happy days so far buddy!
Nice
So How You Doing
Hope you have more videos coming out
nice 1 buddy, more shows being made as we speak! not had much time this month..
Oh man, that place is paradise. So peaceful sounding. minus the flies. Most amazing gold! Incredible !!!
Ah I recognize the ferns with the tree beside them 😅
done much much better than that but not worth the the distrust to share anymore!
@@northernpickers yep fully agree with you, shame though people can’t be trusted af all nowadays…and that’s a haul like I’ve not seen great work!! I’m off up there for a few days next week, I go where I think no one’s been preferably off piste but I’ve not struck yet, only three small specs from wales so far! But it’s only 3rd season panning so just getting a bit of a grasp of it, and the tools.
Brilliant man brilliant video thank you 👁️❤️👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
That dog of yours has patience heheh
Maybe he thinks why is my owner getting so excited over some tiny yellow rocks :D He may be worried about you
Deer tick city, 😂
you know it! always wounded comin off here! The Gold is just a bonus lol !
With such chunky gold and large sections of exposed bedrock this location seems ideal for metal detecting.
Hi that is every ones dream streem so good .have you been back there and keeping low profile i really did not know that this was posible now days in scotland very nice.also i think your in with a very good chance of finding bigger nugets with a detector
Hi Buddy your correct, me and a few team members have been back! with some great results, best other day was 8.3g and a friend has had 18g! in a day. its that hard to get too and floods out with minimal rain ! and its been 8 months of rain around there. we had no chance to make a show. once were happy that its been covered i will be making some shows up there! also i have a minelab go find 44 which is ok! but my right hand man has a garret gold pro with mini diving head! and the many wind turbines in the area send them both crazy! even going off pointing them in the sky!
@@northernpickers thats great im thinking a more basic old fashiond detector may not suffer with same problems itl be less sensative but if theres a lump of thets say 15 40 g u will get it i do prospecting in bolivia and getting there on foot can take several days hiking with all on ones back so apreciate that place i cant take a maneman or he would become maine meale for the jaguars.liked the video verry much lucky sod good luck
Wow nice one 👍
Would you ever like too like design ur own mat or make a mat with all different designs
Hey buddy LOVING THE VIDEOS! What maps do you use? Im not a prospector but im interested in geology. What do you look for when looking at geological maps?
Thanks buddy! ive been checking fault lines mainly! basalt layers are producing some good areas too! but the gold can end up anywhere, and have to get out on location to do lots of testers. good luck buddy,,,
You are very close to the sourse due to the lack of fine gold present in the pan,you got somthing special there buddy.
Theres lead and copper mines around Buxton peak district, does that mean gold could be I local rivers around there
Wow is that still Tyndrum area your in ? , I watched you when You started out their 😎
nice 1 buddy,,,up that kind off area to the east! have had some mega days on both sides of this valley!
Thats amazing. Can I just ask, what do you do with the gold? Can it be sold?
nice 1 M M,,, some like to sell it on ebay! but its better to get jewellery made as its more rewarding !
Hey mate sorry to ask if its already been asked but did you make that yabby pump? If so looks sick I'd like to make 1 myself
no worries buddy, the pump's are made by JT Gold panning supplies, there great, work really well and are light weight here's a link mate,, www.ebay.co.uk/itm/123700326830?hash=item1ccd1d31ae:g:kGEAAOSwhkFgPh9E&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAoMDTqqTJOM%2BsREZC10icvSambGHvI1%2BYPcxe4bImpmWk7NOFcHDybUEtImd7vmpfCnhAuauTpUaiypGAMdFcKG9vr3fd%2FMCKjKNuNArajSg3UxO4zeSo7EDn%2BNjUUOf17XM8qpwx1z82%2FhiSeNQGa2eHcYjeHM0ccuW3vPrcPbZhyMrS3W4h1LTYQw%2FgcW6Y8rFEROVd%2FYbtCmZlEv%2FyPnI%3D%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR5yAtojgYA
Thanks mate sorry I didn't see your reply yeah those pumps are trick looking and hands down beat a aussie stainless yabby pump that i usually use its hopeless sometimes getting through the gravels quickly
do you sell the gold ? great video
everything has gone into making jewellery for friends & family! nice 1 buddy!
Best panning ive ever seen on camera watching from Australia you have earned my subscription
Great vid i am trying to get into this but have no idea were to start lol not many places to look in teesside lol and i dont drive lol do u have any tips to help me get started i have all the pans and stuff and i use them with paydirt untill i can find a place lol
nice 1 linda, its quite difficult without a car! tyndrum is a good area with trains running there. i know a few folk who go up for weeks on foot! hope this helps & good luck.
Hi. stumbled across your vid in search of an answer as to whether you/I can legally take gold you find by the means of panning in Scotland? I would like to have a go at panning myself mostly for fun but I'm not so sure if it's legal or not to take what you find. As far as I can understand all gold and silver in Scotland is owned by Crown-Estate Scotland. I've read the info they provide on their site but cant really come to a straight answer?
hi james, it all depends if you have the land owners permission! a lot of areas have a permit system, like leadhills estate and tyndrum town council,, hope this helps buddy
Well in Lewis long time no see I will share this with rainy 👊👊👊
@@northernpickers yes man alls good smashing it there find your vids proper interesting it’s the unknown. Done any fishing lately?
@@jacktraynor8730 nice 1 mate, not been fishing as much, weather has been all over the place
Where did you get the handle on your hand dredge?
it came ready made! JT Gold panning on ebay! I think there a spade handle!
Long time no see, hope everything is ok Lewis.
Thanks buddy, all is ok, just been busy with work and catching up with jobs! have a few vids in the pipeline!
Hey NP 👋
What a great place to suck the honey out of the hole. Dang my friend you nailed it. Not easy to top the result in future but who knows. Thankx for sharing my friend. Greetings 👍
Thanks friend, was a great day for sure, & always on the hunt for more! nice 1 buddy
I'm from Manchester, is it worth getting into this in the greater Manchester area?
Im Red Rose county buddy and have prospected many times in our areas, with only minimal to show for!!! its defo best goin up to scotland, Leadhills is a good start!
Wow, unbelievable indeed. I've been prospecting for like 8-10 years, own 2 gold claims and never gotten that kind of gold. And I've been working dirt from Georgia to Idaho, here in America. You started out 2 years ago only finding flour gold and now, no flour at all, just nuggets and pickers in just 2-3 pans. I guess it's time to quit your day job and become a full time miner...
nice 1 buddy, i know people who hit 18g in a day further down, but not an easy task!!!
@@northernpickers further down where?!? Please tell us😭😂what river is this boss
@@sykesy6699 that would be telling lol, not my spot on this occasion, gotta keep searching buddy!
@@northernpickersback out next month on the hunt just hitting Tyndrum again few spots along the crom but next trip after that will definitely be back out on the hunt testing some new spots💨
All ways wantes to get in to this is it illegal to sell the gold i find 😂 or do i have to declare it ti the state or just dont tell any one lol
Can you sell the gold you find or do you need permission or licence?
you could if you wanted! but legally gold has to be hallmarked & paid its due's! Jewelry is a better option and more rewarding !
Why don't you go back to that location all the time? You'd be loaded in no time
have been back a few times and friends too! but its a days trek and very patchy on the gold. have had two good days out of 10 trips!
You could hammock camp between two trees and do a multi-dayer probably, I think you'd proper zone into the gold in that time
Wow well done looks brilliant that
Was a good day for sure👍 nice one!
@northernpickers I keep meaning to get out in the wild in streams ect but where we live there's nothing I'm from doncaster been told to go to lakes or Scotland ect
