- This video demonstrates the tools and procedures to remove all of the components that open and secure your classic Mustang door; including the door latch, striker, door handles, door locks and door handle relay shaft.
Fixing back the first handle took me nearly an hour, and a bit of tiny damage, but the second one was easy. Thanks for the video!

Brilliant video, camera shots, still shots. wow awesome Joe!! I bought new door locks from NPD. They did not come with new keepers that secures the Rod and I don't find the old ones lying in the bottom of the door to reuse. Does anyone know where I can purchase these for both side? New locks do me no good if I cannot attach the rods. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thank you. Cheers from Motown.

I would like to see what needs to be removed from the door in order to get to the doorlatch that's what no one shows you
This is 2 years too late, but: On most cars, you have to remove the entirety of the door panel in order to get to the latch from the inside. Unfortunately, most doors barely have any room to make adjustments to the latch. There's nothing else to be removed - you have to use the cutouts in the door to make any adjustments to the latch. The door skins are welded to the inner meat of the door, so unless you're willing to cut that apart to get into it, you're stuck reaching through the small cutouts (unless you have some crazy door I haven't seen before that comes in two pieces).

Hey! Not sure if your still Active, I’ve got a 62’ Ford falcon, the back left door won’t open it’s locked shut. I can’t get into see about the connecting rods and how to unlock it any tips?
What would you do if the door doesn’t open from outside or inside. It used to open from inside but not outside but now it will not open either way. 67 mustang

I am attempting to secure the door lock cylinders on a '66 mustang.
I inserted the retaining clip until the ledges of lock cylinder were at the peak of the bump in the retaining clip. Now the key does not turn the lock. Should I insert it further until the lock cylinder ledges clear to the other side of the retaining clip bump?
Did not do yet for fear of not getting clip off afterwards.
The one part I need a close up view to is not shown...the rod from the door handle...mine came with the rod off and it looks busted...some plastic piece on the bottom...
No visual on removing the interior door handles
I just installed new door handles in a 68 Shelby. I tried the lock with the key and now it wont unlock and I cant get the door open? The lock button moves up and down, but not as much as before I locked it? Any ideas how to open the door and or fix it?
This is probably the most detailed video with the least amount of details anyone could possibly make. Who can’t replace a door latch in a naked door? Weak sauce.
