Oh dear.u know what? I was introduced by a friend in msia Teh C about a year ago.i thought I should give it a go.mine was purely tea with evaporated milk n I can't taste any sweetness in it at all.so after watching this I reckoned mine was without gula melaka.will try to ask for Teh C Peng next time round ...Thank u for sharing..cheers
I tried the grass jelly drink, at first taste Like medicine, straight from the can Now I know what can health benefit Try make cool drink love soy milk Thanks for recipes,, love lychee
Hi..i really liked this tea..how many does it make??&what would be the measures(sugar syrup, milk&tea) for 1glass...im new to ur channel&would like to try ur previous recipes as well.. Also if u could provide with the complete instructions for the recipe it'll be grt. help (specially when u r making it.i hope u understand).thanks
This is very helpful, thank you. I have a few questions. How many Lipton tea bags would you use for the black tea? I recently visited Malaysia, and grew very fond of mamak ice coffee. Is this the same way to make it, except replacing tea with coffee? Also, can you use brown sugar if you do not have any palm sugar?
How do you stop the palm sugar from becoming to hard on the bottom. It doesn't even stir. Everything gets stuck on the bottom and you get the taste of Palm sugar just plain tea and milk. How do you fix?
Hhmm..what about half full cream milk? Because I live here in Netherlands and I can't find in the supermarket evaporated milk, though they have here condensed milk.
In Germany, evaporated milk is known as kondensmilch. I am sure you can find something similar at the local supermarket. Else, make a visit to you an asian grocer near your home ^^
Just to share something with you. I bought some gula malaka (or do you spell it the other way) and kept it for some time in the kitchen cabinet. After one of the several heatwaves we usually get, the entire bag of was in liquid form. I poured into a plastic container and put it into the fridge and guess what, It never solidified.
I drink Teh C Peng everyday but ever seen or taste one like yours lol ..then I notice its teh c peng SPECIAL hahaha no wonder..i guess I need to make it myself coz they never use gula Melaka here.
in fact I just had thai tea ice yesterday..also 3 layers but I am still figuring out why the tea is extremely flowery..the restaurant refuse to tell me what tea they used lol.
My first try went terribly wrong..the sugar hardened..i missed that 1 instruction you told about letting the sugar cool down to room temperature..i'll try again next week.. :)
Uhh..means the syrup was too thick. Do consider that the ice will chill the syrup and it will harden the sugar a little. Good luck in your next round ya ^^
Grace, I have made Malaysian karipap a few times following a recipe from another channel and I checked your videos and seems that you have not made a video on that; honestly, I WOULD LOVE it if you would share your Malaysian karipap recipe :)

Hi, I tried making 3 layered tea as above. Unfortunately, the gula melaka harden after I'd put in the ice cubes. Was wondering why
It must be extremely sweet? Any substitute for such high sugar content drinks? Thanks

Looks yummy!
It is :) Try it!
Wow. Delicious. :) Mouth water while watching this. :)
That means, you gotta make it soon. Hehe..
Nyonya Cooking (Malaysian Recipes) hehe.
Shouldn't the palm sugar syrup be thinner otherwise it won't dilute? Just asking..never tried making them yet..
True that, it could be thinner but not too thin else when you pour the milk in, it mixes :)
Where can I get the evaporated milk
How do you stop the palm sugar from becoming to hard on the bottom. It doesn't even stir. Everything gets stuck on the bottom and you get the taste of Palm sugar just plain tea and milk. How do you fix?
Jacob Watts It has to diluted well enough. If it's more watery, it should not get hard at the bottom.
Can you do more drink?
Steven Lee Okie dokie! :D
Hey Nyonya♡ what is the Brand of evaporated milk you use? NOT sure Im gonna find it here in Holland tho :'(
The brand is Nestle Carnation.
Hensy87 is right. You should be able to find it at the asian grocer ^^
yummmmy
What milk you using miss,,,,,,??? ;)
Hehehe, ,, sorry for the asking, anyway thanks!
She's using the evaporated milk. It is normally found in tin can.

Hi! Is it possible to use English tea as substitute to black tea (ceylon tea)?
Heyya, you can BUT it will not taste the same :(
Oh..that is the difference. I have another question, can I substitute full cream milk for evaporated milk? Thank you! ^_^
Finally, I found thee!
Wow........interesting. How did you manage to use it then?
actually didn't use it in the end. I don't like the viscocity (a tad too watery) and it was unused for way too long, so I just threw it away.
Ugh....weird. I wouldn't consume it too, so good choice!
my wife love this so much :)
Music name at the outro? :D
Thanks so much! 💚 🍪
Pls make macaroni and cheese
Is "Teh C Peng" how local Penang people order it?
Alq I guess so, that is what I call it in Penang :)
Nyonya Cooking (Malaysian Recipes) Are you from Penang? I love Penang food!
No.. :P
Apa macam... i like your channel so much
Fr Manila Philippines.
machee_7116@gmail.com gwrs11 Thanks for the support!

Yeaaaa....it's special! Ask them if they offer Teh C Peng Special, maybe they do!
Michael Corbin Thai tea? Thai tea has a various combination of ingredients in it. It's one of it's kind ^^
yeah I know..I been to Bangkok and Phuket many times but this one is very different..I probably will pester the boss lady for the brand of tea lol.
Ahhh.....you should but if it's a restaurant's secret, it's gonna be tough :P
My first try went terribly wrong..the sugar hardened..i missed that 1 instruction you told about letting the sugar cool down to room temperature..i'll try again next week.. :)
Uhh..means the syrup was too thick. Do consider that the ice will chill the syrup and it will harden the sugar a little. Good luck in your next round ya ^^
Looks like Thai iced tea...close cousin? Looks good I will try it if I can find Palm sugar!
Close...but tastes different! ^^
Thai people call ice tea as "Cha Yen" taste different. Teh c Beng is much more better if you can get good gula melaka and tea leaves .
I like both actually. Thai tea is more "flowery" imo and has a very special taste by itself. ^^
Dont we have to strain the Gula Melaka?
Hmmm...there weren't any lumps...so.....it's all good ^^
yummy!!

yes, they are the same :) gula jawa is the indonesian version.

it should be the same taste since they just go by different names in different countries :)
Xueh Qi Lee is right :)
Nyonya Cooking (Malaysian Recipes) it turned out very delicious haha
So it's a 'TICK' syrup and 'TICK' Tea?
Yea....it's pretty TICK else you'd be CROSS cause it would be pretty diluted. Haha..
