It would be nice if there was a step-by-step video on how the Stratosphere was built in detail such as dimensions and what went into the planning etc?

Wow!!!...My dad was an ironworker/millwright back in the late 70s on Fermi 2 south of Detroit...but the heights you guys worked at on the Stratosphere tower make my stomach turn!!! Kudos to you and your crew for an amazing job...it is always a treat to watch craftsmen at
    work!

The north leg right before the three converge is poured incorrectly in about a 50 foot section. It bows outwards considerably. You can see it clear as day if you’re standing on the sidewalk right underneath of the tower looking upwards.

Was staying at the “ Manor “ part of hotel underneath there that night. Was across the street at Aztec? Casino eating pizza with ex girlfriend and her youngest when we heard siren but of course thought nothing of it. When we went out side we watched sitting on a few bikers. Saw a piece of wood fall but got catches on the netting…till it melted the netting…lol. Then we were told we needed to evacuate a few blocks west. Had to wake up the other two teenage daughters to do that. They never let me forget that I made them sleep on the street…lol. Then of course they tried to charge me for the rooms we got kicked out off for hours. Good ol Bob Stupeck

It’s interesting something so big and monolithic looking is really an assemblage of many small bits and pieces. The scale of the project is hard to fathom! And yet you few workers make it all come together.

Amazing work and story. I moved to las Vegas four months after the 1993 fire and read No Limit one of the books about Bob Stupack and how one man with little money and connections created one of the most iconic places in the city and how it went into bankruptcy before the hotel or pool was halfway done. I ended up working up at T.O.W. for 4 years as the Mairtr D but each time the wind hit the tower it felt like a big boat but I would tell the guests it is ok it's normal. I was really thinking about the tower engineers' stories about damage snd stress cracks throughout the structure and worried it was going to fall over.. It is still there and doing well I hope.

Stupak was going bankrupt on this. Rumors were spread that it was intentionally set for insurance money. I was there and watched it burn. Talk about crazy times!!
I bumped into Stupak at White Cross Drugs one night. He had 2 bodyguards with him. Struck up a conversation with him, and he handed me about 100 tickets to go to the top of the Stratosphere! The very next day, it was announced that Stupak was no longer part of the Stratosphere. Those tickets were useless! 😂😂😂
