I met my soulmate in my thirties and, as you say, we met when I least expected. It was a relationship like no other. It was like coming home. Our personalities were different, he was an extrovert, I’m an introvert, and yet we felt as one. In my time with him I grew more than I ever did before. I felt like I could take on the whole world. He wasn’t perfect. Neither am I. He had flaws that I could never have accepted in another man, but in him it those flaws were endearing. He saw through my flaws and helped me to see myself though his eyes. And what he saw in me was a loving, kind, gentle soulmate. And strangely enough, he saw himself though my eyes and what he saw was a loving, kind, gentle soulmate. We often talked about destiny and fate bringing us together.
I used to describe him as the mirror of my soul. We had 17 beautiful years together before sadly, he died. He died suddenly and unexpectedly and when he died it felt as if my soul had been torn out of my body. Its been a hard journey over the past 4 years and 3 months. I chose to be alone because I needed the space to heal. The pain I’ve gone through is unimaginable, but I’ve also grown from the pain, which seems strange.
I’m reaching a good stage just now, learning to accept and love myself without trying to change myself. After all, if I’ve already been loved and accepted as myself by another, why wouldn’t I love and accept myself by myself.
I know our souls will meet again, and I don’t want to spend the rest of my life alone. I know that he knows this.
I live in hope that the universe will bring me towards another soulmate, because I truly believe we can have more than one soulmate in any given lifetime.

TheAncientAndreios I wish I could believe that someone else was out there waiting for me. At one point, I thought I did meet somebody, that would finally accept me for who I am. Her and I are no longer together, because her family wouldn't allow us to be together like a normal couple, being able to see her more than once a week. The sad part about it is, I'm already an outcast, I don't fit in, and people label me as a joke, more than want to get to know me for who I am. Finding that significant other or soulmate, is hard to come by. Why? Because of free will. The reason why is because, we have the ability to live our lives,the way we want to. The problem with this is, nice guys seem to never meet they're soul mates, because we only go by what we see,and not when we know! It is said that "There's somebody for everybody", but if that's the case, then why is it so hard for decent guys to meet the right one? This would be a big issue for me, if only I was just accepted for who I am. Unfortunately, even though Teal is right, it just hurts me to know that I waited so long for someone to finally come into my life all for nothing! If I could just meet someone new, then I would feel much better,to know that I don't have to leave the world,knowing that I'm going to die with a broken heart,like my grandmother did! I just wish we can all come together, stop judging one another, and just accept each other for who we are! If we did, then you wouldn't be hard for people like me to meet someone.
I think you didn't understand the video. What Teal says is that if you desire to meet your soulmate then that means you have one, or else you wouldn't desire it. Also, the most important thing and the main point in the video is that you will not meet them until you love yourself or start to drastically do anything to accept yourself as you are and love yourself. You won't meet your soulmate if you don't love yourself, and the reason for that is that your soulmate is you and you can't find them or love them until you love yourself. It doesn't matter if you are a "decent" guy or a "bad" guy to find your soulmate, what matters is how you view yourself. Sounds to me like the main reason why you haven't found them yet is because you don't accept yourself, not because others don't accept you. I suggest you to watch her video again and also her other videos about self love, I'm sure they will help you. Best of luck!

I just married my twin flame. Deep, intense, challenging - yes but well worth it bc the love, closeness, acceptance and trust are amazing. And yes, both of us had just made massive changes in most all aspects of our lives. I found that point interesting. I finally decided to finally love myself unconditionally....then there he was. Unexpected and everything I've wanted and needed. I'm blessed and so grateful.

That doesn't make any conceptual sense. You can desire many things in life without fulfilment, e.g, getting rich, traveling the world, etc.
But that doesn't make sense. Its curious how so much fluff talk clicks with people. Why couldn't you have a desire that was not meant to be achieved? I have a desire to fly like superman, does that mean i'm meant to achieve it? I do think there is probably a solid match for everyone out there, but that has more to do with statistics than a magic concept of destiny and souls.

Teal, I've watched this video 3 years ago and it really got me thinking outside the box for awhile. I want to tell you that I've found my twin flame. We are together for almost 2 years and we are getting married next summer :D I'm very thankful for having such a strong, supportive and kind partner.

Your Twin Flame is not someone you marry. Since marriage would be a trivial thing you wouldn't need. You are with a soulmate and possible just a 3d image that suits the image you can most grow with where you are at.
I have met mine. It's amazing, but also extremely challenging. They come towards your flaws with a magnifying glass. We're apart now, but I do believe will be together again. I met my soul mate while I was ending my relationship with my daughters father. I started a new job to gain independence for myself and my daughter and he was a regular guest. I remember my coworker introducing us, and a few months later she tried to set us up without talking to either of us and I think we were both really embarrassed. We knew each other and had been watching each other for a year before either of us communicated the pull we felt to anyone. I worked over night shifts, and we spent 2 hours just sitting in the car talking after my shift. I remember dancing around work the next day telling my coworker I was going to marry him. We've known each other for about 3 years now, been together for 2, and it has been a wild ride. He has shook me to my core and opened my eyes, he woke me up. He never told me what to do or how to do anything, but being with him I found what I needed to become who I always knew I was but was too afraid to be. He lifts me up and makes me feel whole. Things have been hard, and we fight each other. We're so different, and yet so much the same. I love him for everything that he is and I just feel so blessed to have such a good man, not just in my life, but as my soul mate.

Great video, I agree with all this. I found my soul mate. I deeply believed in soul mates since I was a little girl. I even came with the knowledge of his name. I used to right his name and mine together in my journal until I was about 12yrs old ☺ After many failed relationships I decided to be alone until I found my soul mate. Well totally unexpected I met him through my best friend at 26. I didn't even correlate the name at the time because I kind of forgot about my younger knowledge of his name. He was visiting from a few states away. Well it was instant attraction. We only seen each other 3 times before I moved to be with him. We got married 3 months later. Three children and 12 years later he still is my best friend, my everything, my soul mate 💕

I feel like there is a theme of people having met their soul mate and that person dying too soon. I’ve experienced this too and so it haunts me with questions. Why would we experience this only to lose them tragically? I lost mine at the age of 20 to cancer. We met when I was 18 and had no interest in dating. A friend of mine said “You should come meet this guy” Of course I protested but wanted to hang out with some friends. As soon as I walked in the room the pull was instant and alarming. It scared me. He died of an aggressive and fast spreading cancer that ravaged his body so quickly the doctors were perplexed and got permission to study the organs and tumors. The cancer was doubling and tripling itself everyday. It broke my soul and I still grieve 25 years later. My mother described our Union as “A spiritual connection she has never seen in her life” and it was. While I wish I had more time with him I don’t cry because it’s over. I smile because it happened.

This video helped me to find my twin flame. After watching this video last year I worked on self love and when I least expected it, my twin flame sent me a message on Facebook. And he said "It's so cool that you also like Teal Swan. Most people don't care about spiritual stuff and self improvement". And since then we've been talking to each other every day. I'm still waiting for this crazy virus situation to be over because people from his country aren't allowed to come to my country at the moment. I never met him in person but the connection is amazing. It even feels better than being with a soulmate. But we trigger each other sometimes.

Let me play devils advocate. I've been married for 15 years. We've grown together, we've made each other stronger, we've supported each other through difficulties and been pillars for each other to lean on. We make each other better. I would NEVER describe our relationship as hard or difficult. Our lives are EASIER together. If you're finding you really have to force yourselves to fit together, do you really fit? I just wanted to give my opinion on this as I have experienced my twin flame connection. Yes. They do exist. When I first heard about twin flame connections and these great loves I thought what a load of crap. Now having experienced it firsthand I can tell you yes it is very real. What your truth may be in one month may differ to the next. As you expand your consciousness your truth in the now changes as you can see things from a higher perspective. wow, this confirmed what I already felt. I felt that we are all complete souls, and if we what to find the right person for ourselves (soul mates or twin flames) then you first have to focus on improving the relationship you have with yourself. How can someone love you and do all these things you would like in a relationship if you don't do those things for yourself or others.
I love and miss my twin soul. Teal your comment at around minute 12 where you explain that we who desire a soul mate or twin soul relationship are looking for a relationship that is good, not in conflict. But then you go on to explain that to rendezvous with another part of ourself that is walking around in another human body we have to first be in harmony with ourself, whew. So true, and it is what lead to my twin soul separation. My heart was closed to accepting love, especially the strong strong love he showed me and tried to give me. He even told me, "You should accept love" even though I was really good at hiding my insecurities from him. And I will assume that my inability to accept love reflects some self-love issue inside of me. So thanks for the rest of the video. After my twin soul and I separated that is when I was forced to undergo that "dramatic improvement in the way I treat myself." Oh what a journey. Your words are very true. I met him at the precise moment when my self-abuse was beginning to shift to self-love, and then six week later, once he left I began an intense period of being forced to learn to love myself, to be gentle to myself and to protect myself and my energetic vibration. I was forced to see myself as truly "SENSITIVE" and embrace it instead of being ashamed for being so soft and sensitive. It can be a challenge to be "sensitive" in this world we live in. Why oh why do we all walk through life feeling guilty for LOVING ourselves or thinking we are worthy or being gentle to ourselves? It's insanity. I hope to one day look into my twin souls eyes again. I can't begin to tell you the issues I've had to address since he's been gone, one being I stopped drinking and am sober now. I love myself so much more now, and I simply adore him too. It is SO refreshing and relieving to have someone say "You are okay just as you are- you really don't have to be "better" no matter what spirituality or religion tells you."

Robert, I don't mean to sound "defensive" but what you've shared here is not my truth at all. Thank you for sharing your opinion though. My dear twin soul was desperately trying to get me to accept his love so he could stay with me. My Beloved is not at all arrogant. He is a dear, caring and compassionate man who just happens to be my full mirror. Those of you out there who think a "real twin" won't leave you, well my experience has shown me that they will and do leave {many of them actually.} BUT that's my truth and I don't push people to believe my truth. I only share... but one thing I can say is arrogance is not a word that can be associated with my dear sweet twin who is totally whole and "together." He's a humble kind human being and soul.

I can’t wait to see you again. He kisses the forehead, does the sweetest things, feels like home, no need to impress each other. I always saw 333 right before you’d make plans with me or we would admit feelings. I never saw him coming. Passion so intense I cannot believe it. I cried when I flew home but now that I’m home I am ok? I miss you but I am so moved there is no time to miss you too much. I am so often thinking about my soulmates, every time I meet someone I like I ask myself "maybe this is my soulmate?", though, there have been only very few times when I thought someone might be my soulmate, and these people had very similar eyes, so I guess I know what kind of eyes my soulmate has:) also, come on, when I was only around 8 years I wrote in one friendship journal that my deepest desire is "to love and to be loved" haha.

I have felt this experience more than once. Connecting with people on a spiritual level is too easy for me. Some people would consider it to be a curse when you can't find your twin flame. I believe that my river is too wide and the fact that i can connect with many people to be a curse. It has taught me a lot about myself, but in the end I feel alone. I have met my soulmate and was just checking to see what you would say about it and everything you said describes me,her,and our relationship. It's like you knew what was going on with me,my life,her life,and our new lives together. No it's not perfect but we are a work in progress due to our situations,but as much as we've tried to be apart from each other we can't and I've had relationships in the past and could care less about breaking up.Not now though,thanks for your insight!
I just wanted to add something that Teal left out, there is a draw back to this attachment of a soulmate. The draw back is that in the same process we end up hurting others and hurting our "soulmate" and ourselves. The reason is that not everyone are is born into the same level of consciousness, this often leads to confusion on the other person who is less spiritual awakening. Which causes a lot of suffering or Dukha to others and to oneself. Let me give an illustration as an example. Supposed my soulmate and I found each others past lifetime, fall inlove, married blah blah. We both died, I rebirth first and just happened to retain a higher spiritual awareness. She on the other hand took rebirth much later and just happened to be less spiritual awareness. She happened to fall inlove with another person. We meet I recognized her, she doesn't simply because of ours differences in awareness. I told her we are soulmates, married past life time etc. Because we are, she feels it too but now are emotionally conflicted. To make matter worst her mind is confused to all of these. In her emotional conflicts and confused she took her own life. These kind of situation causes dukha to oneself and to others. The problems I see in many people is that many people have this notion that if they are soulmates ultimately in the end somehow everything will work out. The reality is that from one life time to the next lives is always uncertain and unpredictable. With this said, instead of seeking always for soulmate my advice to everyone is live your life to the fullest the best you can with what you have. It just as good as you would have with your soulmate. Because not every life time will always turned out the ways we wanted. If we all abide by this practice we could learn to love others and learn to keep the relationship we have now, because the now is all we have.

I feel that I've already met my twin flame and so far we're great friends even if we don't see eachother that often. Our seperate lives so far have both been filled with strive in their own unique ways and it appears to me that this is very distracting to our further allignment and expansion through interlocking heart.
It is natural for him to come in my arms at the right time and for me to receive and take him there even though the confusion of sexuality still stands in his way.

OMG! Yes! I was a bit addicted to self-improvement and then i was this energie because of addict haste. You open my eyes to the fact that my energetic intention must be self-love, not self-improvement. Sure, I can improve if it comes from the energetic sense of self-love. That's just a little fine-tuning of my energy, but it has a big impact on how it feels.
Soul Mates come in our lives to help our soul evolve, I believe our twin flames are a frequency match.

So, what happens if you meet your soul mate, but aren't romantic? My soul mate is my best friend. We aren't romantic, but we definitely love each other. We routinely joke that we were twins separated at birth, and that we each have half of the same brain. We have conversations without speaking pretty regularly, and have felt each others injuries. We have so much in common it's uncanny. We are definitely attracted to each other to a very high degree. However, whenever we tried to be romantic something would prevent it. This happened several times before we gave up on romance and became close friends. The first time she called me over for romance, I was T-Boned while driving to her place (the only accident I've ever been in). The next time, the fire alarm in the apartment building went off. People showing up unexpectedly, family emergencies, etc. Every time things got intimate, something would happen. This happened over and over, random things preventing romance. So, what gives?
I want to know that answer ... My soulmate is officially married ! He accepted his responsibilities as a father but it confused me how ok some people are with marrying just a friend .. They are also falling since awhile but I refused to stink my karma with any of that. I just want to focus on my own experience and wish that the times of separation stops just because unplugging is painful .. To all those saying "Doesn't have to be romantic", we are both well aware, and remain extremely close despite never getting romantically involved. The "What gives?" isn't from the lack of romance, it's from the lack of romance despite the fact that we're both clearly interested, but circumstances continually prevent any kind of "consummation".

It's interesting how so many of the comments from people who claim superior spiritual knowledge, claim superiority over the ideas talked about in this video. Much like people do with religion.
In my experience, this concept talked about with twin flames or soul mates is one of complete awareness of self, much like described. But it's not some trophy to hold up, In my experience, it is something that very few people will achieve, something that requires absolute surrender and absolute truth. Most importantly, it's definitely not something that you elevate yourself with in comment sections. When you get to that point, you won't be looking here for insight.
