Hi karl, I find your videos very educational and informative, it helps me to understand more about the different aspects of buildings in general, hope you will continue to do a lot more. can you when explaining on a diagram use your cursor or a pointer to identify the section you are explaining, that would be very helpful to me. keep up the good work.
Thanks for your kind comment. I was using the cursor but some how it did not show on the video, I dont know why. But I am going to sort it out for the next videos.
me na lie im a draftsman for years and final i understood how one comes up with 1/4 span and 1/3 span.if you are ready to teach drawing i will be one of the supporter. I must say im now educated a little bit more, i love what you are doing.
@@jkengineeringarchitecture. Great! My pocket isn't deep, but I'm wondering how much it would cost to do do a drawing consisting of one bedroom, living, bathroom and kitchen? A rough estimate. Would I need to submit any documents to you?

If your going to be building on top of your carport without any supporting walls, then you have to use columns to support the upper floor. However, it is not a must that you use columns, you can use concrete block wall as well, depending on the design you want.
its that good i just subcrib sir..
wow, watching your videos makes me see how much mistake my builders made on my house

Good morning Sir. Wonderful videos. I need your help. I want to know if a car porch can only have columns and a building on top of it?
If your going to be building on top of your carport without any supporting walls, then you have to use columns to support the upper floor. However, it is not a must that you use columns, you can use concrete block wall as well, depending on the design you want.
@@jkengineeringarchitecture. what size columns do U recommend?
@@jkengineeringarchitecture. it's a open carport
@@markrobinson5892 If it a open garage then use columns. You probably can use 1ft x 1ft columns reinforced with 4 #5 or 5/8 rebars.
@@jkengineeringarchitecture. well done!
Question anyone
Acording to the jamaican rules who is responsible for the payment of the blue print is it the builder/contractor or the home owner?
The home owner is responsible for the blueprint.
do you have a patron section that offer any paid consultation
No. I saw that you teach construction right. I want to know more about your revit class.
@@jkengineeringarchitecture. yes coming in September you can book a class
