Once you start working then your building permit cannot be expired. The only way the permit can expired if you dont start within six months and you do not reapply for approval.

You Know, I have been seriously thinking about this. I still think we can use Timber Roof in our design spacing rafter closer and Using hurricane straps at every rafters, some people might ops to use reinforce concrete roof, but there is also a draw back to that with heat absorption resulting in higher energy bill. But this is tough one.

That's a lot of work. Probably sometime in the future but not right now.

You Have several, We use Engineering software such as ABLRFD for Abutments and wingwalls for Bridges and BXLRFD for Box Culvert. For buildings and Bridges and there is Bentley STAAD PRO use for Analysis and Designs.

Well the roof plan is just to show the material the roof is going to be finished with. However it's not a must that you show the roof plan, you can call out the roof finishes on the roof framing plan. You always ask some good questions. Keep it up I am willing share my knowledge, I put up these videos mainly to inspire young people like you . Respect.

Thanks for your comment. But you would appreciate that it is not a Fresh design, I want to go back with close to what was there before, also the left side of the building with the existing bedroom and bathroom is not going to be demolished. The existing layout is basically the same, all I did was to extend the sizes of the bedrooms with closets and place a bathroom in between to facilitate both bedrooms. Increase the size of living to accommodate a kitchen/Dining. All of the existing bedrooms and living area was of a dimension of 8ft x 8ft with exception of the bedroom and bathroom which is not going to be demolish. Also Budget is also a concern. But your Point is well Taken. Maximum Respect.
