If you play casually you just wouldnt use it at all and move on with your day. People really tend to forget that people played melee casually for years none the wiser of what a wavedash was.
Wavedashing wouldn’t look right with this artstyle IMO. It looks the best with Melee because the graphics compliment those techniques nicely, but similar to PM it would just look...off. But that’s just my opinion.
2 years later and it’s still great to see Mario get confirmed

Also, thus should mean that we never see Master Hand with exactly 0 HP but still alive ever again, since that's actually somthing you can see on 3DS and Wii U, since the game simply truncates the decimal and if he winds up with a fraction of a single HP it will display as 0. Actually happened to me once.

@P3TER Nah, Ridley deserves to be in as he is THE most requested character of all time since Melee. It's become a meme at this point, and since this is Smash "Ultimate", it's only fitting that he's finally arrived to the battlefield.

Watching this reaction the most surprising reaction to me is Wolf. I mean I was also a wolf main but wasn't aware he was this much liked.
I love seeing the reaction to directional air dodges even though landing lag will always prevent wave dashing to be a viable movement option =p but who knows with the new multiple dodge mechanic to slow it down they could buff wavedashing in the future, Armada said you could only wave land, because the input was not fast enough for wavedashing but either way i prefer directional air dodging so this will be fun.

I like how the guy in the middle looked disappointed as hell when Sakurai said that there wasn't going to be too many new challengers. I really hate it when people are ungrateful.

I've got an Idea, people Are given Versions of the game to which they have tools to sort of Mod.
They create their own characters with Movesets and Balance, Sakurai Judges them, and whichever has the most "Character" and Balance gets created into a real game.
Notice how Dr.Mario didn't have that weird E symbol next to his name, meaning he isn't a echo fighter

Also, can confirm that Stamina matches are back. In Ridley's trailer, he actually killed Link with damage and without launching him, which means that it must be a Stamina match.
After the crumple, he explodes. That attack don't make you explode, and he's not getting hit by anything else.
