Old canon: Necrons were a people that lost their bodies and souls to obtain mortality, feeding their souls and will to infinitely-hungry gods, that they themselves made sentient. Within their new immortal bodies, they would wage war against all, destroying countless civilizations, feeding these souls to their ever-hungering gods. But soon, little life was left to feast on, and their gods no longer relished in great feasts. And so, they were put to sleep, as their gods patiently waited for new souls to come into existence, to breed, to prepare themselves to be eaten once more by the infinitely-patient gods of the Necron. GW: Huh... that makes them too OP. New canon: Uh... the necrons, despite having no will or soul, decided to fight back against their gods, broke them into pieces, spread their powers among themselves, and uh... decided to war with themselves? Yeah, yeah, that's the only way they got weakened. And then, they beat themselves up too much, that they had to take a long nap. But some people Indiana Jones'ed their place and they were like "nuh uh, I woke". GW: Perfect.
>Necrons being their scary ancient selves, promising death and oblivion to all the living things in the galaxy "Hello, I'm Admiral Spire, and this is Jackass."
If the Necron ever fully wake up (which is possible due to the return of the Silent King) the Universe is incredibly fucked. If they can get their War in Heaven technology reactivated, the Imperium will not last more than one week.
I'm wondering if we're headed for a third wargame launch, like an ascended 40k, where the emperor returns some shadow of a golden age of tech to humanity, the orks become primorks, the full might of the tyranid swarm reaches the galaxy, the Innari revive the aeldari to their old might, the Tau realize they've been playing in the minor leagues, and Chaos.... well, chaos is chaos
them fully waking up isn't a problem, them being reunified into a single banner... that's a big problem because last time that happened, they lit the entire galaxy on fire

Interesting quote: "You,humans, don't believe in gods, because you have no faith. We, necrons, don't believe in gods, because we used to kill them in the past. You are not equal to us." - Toholk the Blind, archcriptech (supreme chief engineer) of Mynarch dynasty -

1:00 to 1:25 - This part goes REALLY hard and dark. Imagine being part of a race that was cursed with an awful, short cancer-ridden life, to the point your world is one giant dark mausoleum. You're lucky if you live past your teenage years. Then you meet the immortals creators of life itself, and beg them to correct this awful injustice, only to be scoffed at. They will not grant you immortality, and not even correct your biological flaws so you can have a long life like the Eldar. For the Necrontyr, the Old Ones were the closest things to Gods (until the C'tan were discovered), and the Gods essentially laughed at their misery and closed the door on their faces. The stories always talk about many Necrontyr being dragged in chains into biotransference. But you can imagine that a huge portion of these guys were willingly marching into the furnaces with gritted teeth, clenched fists and blood in their eyes, consumed by rage and the desire for vengeance, uncaring of what that meant so long they could slaughter every last Old One. That was the last thing most of the Necrontyr felt before biotransference made them cold and hollow forever: Pure, unadultered rage and despair.
I think the necrons main weakness is that, while their armies are near endless and unmarred by the passage of time, they have no way to replace their losses. So, perhaps poetically, while it may take more cycles of statis and reawakening, skipping millennia, eventually they will all be gone
Not just centuries of war. Eons. The Necrontyr fought through dozens of generations of their people in the War in Heaven before they became the Necrons, and even after that it took many millennia more. The war was so long, in fact, that the Old Ones were able to create an entire race, the Eldar, and allow them to develop their own society and culture fully on their homeworld before inducting them into the War in Heaven as allies, and this was only done *after* the Old Ones started to lose to the Necrons. Same with the Krork, and many other species who didn't survive the war.
The weapons they used to shatter and kill the c'tan was so powerful that it broke causality itself, szarekh destroyed or stored them away for safekeeping, thinking it too dangerous to use, he might change his mind when he meet the tyranid though.
Cancerous and suffering, due to their star. I'd expect a few Necrons would be willing to keep their metal bodies for long-term survival and exploration prospects, while renting custom organic bodies for the few times they want sensation. A fancier version of Mindshackle scarabs similar to the organic computers from the movie Gamer.

Well, Trazyn as one of the most "early risers" among Necrons managed to build his empire before the mass awakening of Necrons even begun, so playing as the Legion of Solemnance would realistically have to start so big there's barely any room to grow.
Trazyn: The Nephuru are animals.

Necrons:
Wage war against the Old Ones, win
Revolt against the Star Gods, win
You could say... they are metal as fuck
The exit is over there, please make sure to take your things.
My god the old lore was so much better

Their name is Death.
Last time I was this early, the GW had yet to retcon Necron's lore.
If the Necron ever fully wake up (which is possible due to the return of the Silent King) the Universe is incredibly fucked.
If they can get their War in Heaven technology reactivated, the Imperium will not last more than one week.
Even chaos gods nothing just another trespasser for the necrons
I'm wondering if we're headed for a third wargame launch, like an ascended 40k, where the emperor returns some shadow of a golden age of tech to humanity, the orks become primorks, the full might of the tyranid swarm reaches the galaxy, the Innari revive the aeldari to their old might, the Tau realize they've been playing in the minor leagues, and Chaos.... well, chaos is chaos
them fully waking up isn't a problem, them being reunified into a single banner... that's a big problem
because last time that happened, they lit the entire galaxy on fire
@@thecommentguy9380 We get to find out if Tzarekh really did yank out that control protocol--or if he just fooled everyone into believing that. Should be fun!!

2:43-3:01.That necrons ship's is 50 kilometers wide.Insane!! It's huge, probably bigger than any, even biggest, ship ever built by the Imperium of Man!!!
@sneedfeedandseed2410 ,yep,i must remind you, that the Necrons civilization is so advanced in plan of technologies, that other races, more technologically advanced, than mankind, assumes the necrons technologies to be something beyond the limits of imagination, something in between science and magic. No wonder, because, except Aeldari,Necrons is the oldest civilization in Galaxy.By the way,Necrons are all resistant to the influence of Chaos, and necrons of Nigilakh dynasty for some reason fiercely hates all the demons of Chaos, and their mortal servants, their hatred towards the demons is so strong, that they are sending their combat squads to seek and destroy demons few times per week. And if to mention, that Nigilakh is amongst richest necron dynasties, then demons, and Chaos spacemarines have a new enemy, much more powerful, and dangerous, than Imperium of Man.
Interesting quote:
"You,humans, don't believe in gods, because you have no faith. We, necrons, don't believe in gods, because we used to kill them in the past. You are not equal to us."

I figure that ship is along the lines of Stargate Atlantis' city-ship, where it is primarily the Phaeron's mobile city/research center/manufacturing center, with some defensive weapons.
Take the numbers for an Imperial Warship, and imagine what would happen if the Necrons made their version:
- Warp Drive -> Necron FTL engine
- Void Shields -> Necron shield and living armor tech
- weapons -> Necron version of the weapons
- sensors -> Necron sensors
- crew -> Necron Warriors and various Canoptek units (imagine the Necrons sending over Wraiths as a boarding force)

Coolest guys in the galaxy :D
The only way you get cooler involves liquid helium.
Straight from the fridge.
Their dead mechanical bodies could revive.

He is, and he is as much of a troll as ever, if not even more.
Orks:I'm about to piss off their best generals.
I wish this version of a fallen empire existed in Stellaris where you could accidentally be colonizing a Tomb world that ends up biting you later.
The weapons they used to shatter and kill the c'tan was so powerful that it broke causality itself, szarekh destroyed or stored them away for safekeeping, thinking it too dangerous to use, he might change his mind when he meet the tyranid though.
