KartFab Im going to build a trike but I have to get a new motor the motor I have now has a 7/8" shaft and cant find a centrifugal clutch to fit it .
They probably ride as good as the as thought of as high tech dirt bikes we had in the 60's and early 70's.

I gave one of the guys my phone number because we were going to go ride somewhere on the mini bikes and I never heard from him again.

Bummer, wanted to see and hear about how they went about their builds.
basically they slapped a 301cc predator or 420 predator on the bike, drilled new holes for engine mounting so the chain lined up. Put a 1" bore drive unit for the 30 series torque converter on it, and welded a supporting bracket near the rear to keep the frame from flexing too much.
KartFab Thanks for insight. It's always interesting to see the larger predator engines on bikes. I haven't had any experience with anything larger than the 212cc.
Yeah it’s a lot of torque. I just cracked my engine mount from all the torque on my gx390 stroker Mini Bike hehe

What’s the motor build info on the green 301 that was winning the races
no idea, im pretty sure its just a predator 212, but bored, stroked, runs on nitromethane, big valves, tillotson, .050" squish between valves and piston.
KartFab they said it’s a 301 I’m building a gx270 Warrior with electric start what would u recommend for power and reliability I would like a pulse pump for sure jus for peace of mind.. what would u recommend
Billet rod, billet flywheel, .308 cam, 1.2 ratio rockers, chromemoly push rods, 28mm flatslide. Doesn’t need a pump unless the gas tank is below the carb.

at 7:06 that is my go kart model except it doesn't have roll cage and has bigger tires the model name is "Red Talon" but I named mine

yeah, i got really a week before the swap meet and wasnt able to finish anything, thats why none of my mini bikes and go karts were at the meet. I will have a video on the restoration.

HEY Guys, I am in my second or third childhood scents the wife and kids moved away I have been building GO-KARTS for other kids . some bikes .I lost my BIKE ridding WHEN I GOT MARRIED ? she sold my bikes 41 years ago .Now I can play ALL I WANT! right now I have a single Dingo with a 212 cc.have bought parts from GO-POWER SPORTS. IF I keep it ? i well up grade!

Sounds like you got your life back! You were just like musicians I know that met their wife in a bar while playing guitar in a band. They got together because he looked cool on stage with the long hair, spandex and Les Paul guitar. They get married and the first thing that happens is she makes him quit he band and sell the guitar and cut the hair. Needless to say the marriage didn't last.

Its an annual thing here in Keller, TX. It keeps getting bigger and better every year. I'll post a video a little bit before the meet up. Usually spring/early summer is when it happens.
