It’s so funny I found your channel far before you had a gti. I hadn’t seen it in at least 2 years and come to find out we now both drive a mk8 gti. I knew I subbed for a reason lol.
I like the Video, thanks for the good sound, i got my MK8 GTI 2021 2 months ago and I Really like the Car. I'm waiting for your pop&bangs video. Keep it up :)
JVette, did you tune the GTi? I did mine(son's), Unitronic stage 1 for 91 octane and stage 1+ 93 octane. Stage 1 TCU (DGS)tune is available and highly recommended. The car is a beast. It will smash stock S4 and early stock V8 mustangs 2011 from a roll. It feels like a rocket ship now. It makes 310 WHP and 370 ft. What a machine.
@@JVette01 I will make one if you want. But winter storm is is hitting tomorrow. Also I have winter tires and it is spinning first second and part of third, with disabled TC. So much fun for 1200 USD . Cable , ECU tune and DSG tune. I can tune it form home with the laptop, any time.
Winter tires are 205 50 17.....not a good traction in cold weather with that much torque. :) My son said that it feels faster than my old MK7 GOLF R stage 1 APR from a roll.
Jacob, Nice video! Thanks for sharing! So a question for you my friend: knowing what you now know, which car do you prefer as a daily driver (and if I may also for reasons why, please): your 2022 MK8 Volkswagen GTI or yoor previous 2019 Mustang Ecoboost? My curiosity stems from I am in the process of making a decision to purchase a 2023 Mustange Ecoboost HPP or a 2023 MK 8 (or a 2023 Jetta GTI) as a daily driver. The MK8 and Jetti GTI are lesse expensive; however, the Mustang HPP is very nice and the price (base treim) isn't too much more. Thanks for taking time to read and answer my question.
I’m looking into getting one of these but after seeing the S doesn’t come with adaptive dampening but the 40th anniversary does would you still pick the S? Also, how is the stereo?
Stereo is decent, not the greatest though. Adaptive dampers are very nice and I think the 40th is a good package. However, I wouldn’t let that sway my decision. It just depends on what’s important to you.
Does this exhaust have valves? If yes, is there a way to keep them open all the time? I just pluged out a plug at the exhaust of my Audi S5. So they were open all the time 😅
Just got mine today didn't realise it pops and bangs unitill it was sitting waiting I my friend in the store put in sports mode and gave few revs sounded really nice not going to bother with a resonator delete anymore
The USA has not got the IQ lights back and IQ matrix light front , wonder why ! We are lucky in the U.K and the European market standard on the GTD, GTI and R .
The ONLY type of exhaust video worth doing. Love this style.
See now this guy knows how to review a cars exhaust note properly. Wish more people could see this video and take notes.
Thanks!
just got my new mk8 GTI and I’m absolutely loving it, thanks for the in depth sound video!!
Congrats! You’re welcome :)
That car is properly quick!
Great exhaust sound video, wish more people can cover just as thoroughly as you did, fantastic job!
Thanks!

Haha thanks!
Very well done, with passion.
Great video! Thanks for going so in depth!!
Absolutely!
If you decide to start modding, we'd love to help! We have tons of MK8 goodies already! Great video!
I’ll have to check that out! Thanks
would be nice of you to showcase what you know or do?

Sounds good

Wow that’s amazing. Do you have a video of some pulls?

If you make one let me know! I’d like to see maybe a 30-100

Awesome!
After driving a Focus ST with a Roush exhaust system that is heaven
😂😂😂
Great video, the red is one of the best looking colors for the MK8.
Thanks!
Sounds good. Do you plan to change the wheels?
Thanks. Not at this time. I really like the way it is.
Wow sounds the exactly like the golf gti 35 edition nice
Just got my 23 mk8 gti DSG last night!! What a timely video lmaoo
Is there a way to start the car in sport mode?
Congrats! Possibly if you change the mode before you start it. However it won’t make a difference in how it sounds so there’s no need to do that.
How do you like the GTi so far?
Is this a 6 or 7 speed? I’m deciding on what model to buy, looking at an SE 2022 black wheel package or whatever it’s called
7 speed dsg

I'd pick the GTI. Unless you like the styling and rwd dynamic, the GTI is better imo.

I think I’m going to buy one. Is the handling as good as people say?
It’s good imo. But summer tires will make a difference

No valves on the GTI.
Are the stock pops safe for the car to emulate on the car?
I’d assume it’s safe since it’s stock

Yeah the IQ lights are nice
The IQ lights are what make it look so good on the exterior.
Wel good news the 2023 models in America come with them (SE trim and up)
Are you taking about the light strip thing on the front? I have a ‘23 Autobahn and I really don’t like that light strip, I wish I could turn it off. 😂
Can you hear the crackles and pops in the cabin?
Yes!
Nice car bro
Thanks!
Why sometimes i have the pop and bang stock and sometimes doesnt working ?
You need to be in the correct mode and do it at the right rpms.
@@JVette01 i do it in the sport mode and 4k rpm, sometimes working, sometimes not😪
Manual or dsg?
I mention at the beginning of the video. It’s a DSG
Crazy it has stock farts.😆
😂
My F150 would use a bit more space to make that u-turn
Good bye orange cones lol
Lol
Love the cars, but the engines sound awful. Keep em quiet.
Anything is better than nothing tbh when it comes to sports cars. A sports car shouldn't be quite the Hyundai n got it right
Not at all. You're just a preprogrammed propagandized casual civilian.
0 respects for owning DSG
0 respects for not respecting someone else’s transmission choice
@@JVette01don’t listen I bought a 2023 DSG mk8 I also own 2 other stick shift cars DSG is amazing
