Well you definitely saved yourself a lot of money and it's a nice lift kit I wish I had time to put a project like that together but driving this truck over the road makes things rather difficult
Hindsight 2020, there are some rivets that I’d leave installed so that there aren’t as many holes in the frame. I recently took off the factory spring mounts and bump stop brackets and ended up leaving the portion of the rivet that sits inside the frame in there. Just ground down the rivet heads, pounded off the bracket and then ground down the tiny portion of the rivet that was remaining. Video of that process coming soon.
Awesome! It’s definitely a big improvement. After I put it on and drove around without the bed on, it rode just a little better than before but once I put the bed on and had that weight, it was a huge improvement over stock. Good luck and I hope the video helps in some way.
@@heyitsmedouglasheyitsmedou1312 Oh, it will! I'm fixin' to watch your vid again, in fact. I want to make sure I know exactly what I'm in for. One question: Do you HAVE to remove the bed, or does it just make things easier? Or were you doing other work?
You don’t have to remove it. I did it because I was going to be working on it for several days by myself and I wanted to make it as easy as possible. I also own an excavator which made it fairly easy to do.
My rear caps didt fit either. I took the wheels off, sanded and gloss blacked the axle, took teh bolts out and used a wire wheel to clean them up to match teh wheel. So the contrast of the silver bolts on teh black axle looked better than nothin. haha.

About 3 minutes in it shows your frame. It looks like you have prior damage that may need to be welded up or reinforced. Alotta work just to have a weak link destroy it all.
Yeah thanks. My grandpa used to have a flatbed on it and I think he had welded on some things in that area for the bed/gooseneck. Look at it this way, if it cracks in half, it means I’ll get to do a rotisserie frame swap! There would be some good videos with that!

For sure that is true. But the weight and height difference is not anywhere close to the height of the block. You definitely do not need to use the block in this setup if you have a 4.5” rsk in front. It sits perfectly level now that everything has settled in the front and back and the bed is back on. Wow you've got the wrong muffler on there but that's looks like the least of your problems how are those lighter spring supposed to be better than the factory just looks like you're lost to me dude Js
It’s a muffler from a ‘92 Honda Civic. What’s wrong with that? The truck rides way better than it used to so I guess THAT’S how it’s supposed to ride better than factory. I guess I’m in good company being lost with 382,018 other people that have the same springs...next up, I’m going to be doing an axle swap to a GM IFS bc those are the absolute best and most bulletproof setups known to man!
Not sure what that guy is on about... Anyway, I'm thinking about doing this as well. Looks like you used a heavy duty leaf pack, about an extra 1700lbs of spring on each side. The standard springs are 2 or 3 leaf packs and 2700lb per side instead of 4400. That's probably why you got so much lift out of it. What GM IFS are you talking about running? How doable is the swap? I'm guessing it hasn't been done before.
Not sure about the standard rear springs but I think they are what come on a normal F350. For the front, I am planning to eventually do an axle swap from an ‘05+ Ford so I can get coils and have disc brakes. That swap is pretty common but is still a good swap to do.
this RSK kit has been fundamentally the stupidist exercise ive undertaken in years. the holes in the brackets dont even line up. i welded the holes shut and re drilled in the proper location. a truly overrated and overly expensive kit. i hope that when im finished the ride will be better than the quality of this kit which i judge as marginal at best

It wasn’t even loud. That guy doesn’t like sounds of any kind.
Quit watching when the loud ass music started....
You’re just mad that you didn’t win the $10. Better luck next time. We have a big giveaway coming up once we hit 1,000 subs.
Hrrrm. Did you get the PMF kit? Mine fit really well. Did you reach out to Trevor at PMF?
