CIG - Environment Art Test
Here is my try to the star citizen (CIG) art test.
Everything was done in two weeks. Around ~90h of work.
Made under UE4.26
The scene is built with tweakable materials and blueprints. I also made parameters to play with the grunge dirt amount and edge wear.
I've been using the weighted normals, trimsheet and harsurface decals workflow.

Interesting to see their level of detail in UE. Do you think, overall, UE could do what CIG is doing with their Star Engine? Just curious, mostly.
I guess they did some pretty nice work on their engine since they started the dev on the cry engine. So I would say you could achieve the same results on UE4 but I guess they have better techs to reduce the performance cost on SC.
@@StephaneCharre Thanks! I'd figure UE can do *better* on some graphics stuff, for sure, and performance thereof. Not sure it can integrate with the game systems the way Cryengine and now Starengine does, I guess, but again I know very little :D
UE is equally capable of leveraging lumberyard, too.
I honestly thought it was leaked content.
