- Welcome to VanLife in Scotland, join us as a we explore the Isle of Mull by campervan, roadtripping this Scottish island as we spot wildlife.
We explore the beautiful beach of Calgary Bay, and take a wildlife trip from Tobermory with Staffa Tours to Staffa Island and the Treshnish Isles where we spot puffins!
We then head south to explore the beautiful beaches of Iona, before we head off to the Outer Hebrides which we will cover in the next two videos!

About us:
We're Jack and Jo, and that hairy, scruffy little guy is Frank our adventure dog. Since 2020 we've been living and working from our tiny home on wheels, as we seek an alternative way of living. We sold our flat in London to live an alternative lifestyle. Quitting city life for Van Life, and we haven't looked back.
Our Story:
In September 2020, we sold our flat in London in search of an alternative way of life. We bought a van. Had it converted into an adventure van/come office. Picked up a furry co-pilot - our border terrier adventure dog Frank, and set-out on the road.
We haven't looked back since.

Tiny home on wheels? That's huge. We are off to Mull next week (mid October) in our 5m campervan. Lovely dog.
Haha! Compared to a house it's tiny! Enjoy Mull in your (smaller!) tiny home on wheels! We loved it there, bet it's really beautiful in autumn too!
Nice to relive our memories of a wonderful trip to Mull, Iona and Staffa through your excellent video. Fidden campsite is simply the best. We also did not manage to get much of a sight of otters, but then we went on to Strontian and the Ardnamurchan peninsual, and got a fantastic experience with otters at the wildlife hide on Loch Sunart.

It makes you wonder about those early missionaries. How are we going to spread the word to the people of Scotland? I know, we'll camp out on a remote island, off the coast of a remote island, off the coast of the country we're trying to convert!

@@TheseWildJourneys Yeah we have been 2 times there already. Last winter we spend there for 6 weeks with our camper "Pumbaa". It was so amazing...we definitly are going back to scotland after our big adventure in Africa.
Yeah do that!!! But dont do it in the summer time..the heat is freaking us out sometimes ^^ :D

@@TheseWildJourneys Ooh you should do the nc500 for sure...we only explored a little Part of it. There is so much more to see :) But maybe not in the summer time..could be a lot of traffic:D When we did before christmas...there were nobody...was the greatest gift Scotland could offer us ❤️

1. Can Frank be a hitchhiker? Does he have thumbs?
2. Did the cafe do vegan AND gluten free cake?
3. Do you always have to have cash on you to pay for the camp spots?
4. Who knew there would be dolphins and puffins here?!
5. Please trademark Frank having a 'poo with a view'
6. It looks like it got sunnier towards the end, was it warm? You were still wearing coats!
7. Will you ever see Otters?? We shall see!

2. Gluten may have been included, but Jo is now back off the gluten 🤣

We went at the end of May - it was a good time to go, it was just warming up and a few weeks after Scotland had some beautiful weather!

Oh did you manage to found a lot of vegan food ?
Really easy, we were surprised! There's a great pub in Tobermory that did the most incredible pie that we didn't include 🤤! Our best tip is to download Happy Cow, then we research ahead!
But we forgot how easy it is to be vegan in the UK and Scotland!
Vegans arent healthy
