I was wanting a fireplace in our room and this was perfect. Super easy to install and easy to follow directions. My children love changing the colors on it as well.
Hi if you don't mind, I want to get one of these done in my house when I move, Where's the best place to have all the sockets? Where you have them? Just worried about router etc
@@smckeown8442 Yes - If you get electrician to bring wire to where its going, and then when its being boarded it can be pulled through and fitted into socket once boarded, hope that makes sense.

Hi Rory, when you screw the timber into the plasterboard for the first few lengths, did you use wall plugs? Thank you
Hi, no I just screwed into it as it is thermalite block behind. I also trap the timber in by screwing the header timbers into the floor joists above.
good video 👍🏻
how long would a build like that take you?
Thanks! Typically 2 days for something like this. That doesn't include plastering & electrics.
Nice work, how much do you charge to make one please?
Thanks! Depends on size/lighting/finish you would want.
What was the measurement you come out ?
I came out 2ft
Are you guys using 1x3
Hi, I used 3x2

Hi, I have the electrician spur off the existing sockets so they are relocated behind the tv so it’s accessible.
@@rorysjoinery1030 Do you think it’s best to relocate sockets before I get somone to fit the media wall just thinking may be less awkward

Why didn’t you cut out the baseboard?
No need to - I found notching the timber a quicker process... it allows you to get a fixing into whilst plumbing up the timbers.
Build on a carpet? Big no no.
