I used to always use Vsync but once Freesync/Gsync came out in monitors I simply enable it on the monitor and gpu driver. Then I cap my frames using the AMD driver to 2-4fps lower than my max refresh rate. So 240hz I cap at 236fps as frames can shoot past the cap by 1 or 2 at times and my goal is to keep my gpu frames and monitor refresh always in sync. Any tearing or out of sync makes it harder for me to game as I can’t see the game as clearly.

I haven't done any of these for years. The only thing that I remotely do is go back to controllers after despising keyboard and mouse in the 80's and 90's then enjoying most big N and PS as well as the newer X controllers.
I have 5TB of NVMe gaming space but I also have an 8TB HDD that I backup my games to (just literally copy the directories over) so that I never have to download them again. Sure, it takes about 10 minutes to do this but that's way faster than having to download the game again. I recently had a Lexar 2TB NVMe fail and while, sure, it can (and does) happen, it wasn't a big deal to just copy the games from my WD Blue HDD to my new 2TB Team MP33 drive.
Shouldn't v-sync be off when over your monitor's max rr, because, for example, if my monitor has a max rr of 144hz & i'm getting 180fps, then having v-sync on will cap my fps to 144?

For people on a budget and will end up cutting big corners they should span their build over another paycheck or two. Like don’t buy a 5500 vs a 5600 just to save $40 as you will reduce that L3 from 32mb to 16mb and limit your system to gen 3 support. Which then buying a budget 7600xt/4060 are only 8x which is just fine on gen4 but gen3 + 8x gpu equals very reduced bandwidth. Buy at least b550 , 5600 and 32gb 3200mhz c16. If you are going to skimp just wait another two weeks and ultimately save money by buying the correct budget parts the first time.

Also i want to go Air cooled with this build with enough fans, maybe in the future il go with Liquid cooling. the reason im after 4k 120 is because i have the latest Sony Oled tv which maxes out at 4k 120, my Tv does not support 1440p and going down to 1080p is not an option for me as i want the best picture quality. im not a heavy gamer, it would be a everyday use build for internet, watching content and gaming but still want that consistency 4k 120. a part of me thinks to wait for 2024 when the new intel cpu's and motherboards are released that way i can future proof the pc for at least 14th 15th and 16th gen intel cpu's.

As far as letting drivers do the settings goes, on my main pc I haven't used Nvidia for around seven years but laptop is Nvidia. Many games it seems to set to ultra anyway and I can remember trying Dragon Age Inquisition Nvidia setting I think they just made them up. AMD currently not so bad but even then I've found myself using their settings to try things and end up using the custom setting but AMD optimize the driver not the game. Which leads me to hopefully my last point, I may have missed it but don't think so, never seen any type of optimize all button on AMD as you seemed to suggest there is so bit of an accuracy issue there.

My advice is to not do that. Its best to buy all your parts at once or at least within a few days to a week of each other. You want to test all of your components. DLSS is a con it’s a way for Nvidia to sell sub par GPU’s that can’t run your monitors resolution at decent FPS enabling Nvidia to make more money for there shareholders. DLSS and frame generation can never be as good a quality picture as native resolution and it adds delay. Apart from this a good video.

First time building. Gonna do everything wrong just to annoy you 😂 I ate the paste.
DLSS is a con it’s a way for Nvidia to sell sub par GPU’s that can’t run your monitors resolution at decent FPS enabling Nvidia to make more money for there shareholders. DLSS and frame generation can never be as good a quality picture as native resolution and it adds delay. Apart from this a good video.
dam wish my pc gpu fans worked they acting wild stopping then starting and makin weird noises
Why are tell people not to buy parts one by one. you must plan on handing them the money to finish their builds. How very nice of you.
Save your money and buy them all at the same time - don't buy something in March, and then build in October etc

You don't need a Microsoft account to install windows 11...
True, but you do for full functionality, PLUS it's not very user friendly to install it with the command line in order to have it local only
