    Made it for dinner tonight! Absolutely lovely! Flavors on top of some simple buttered noodles with a side of steamed broccoli and sauteed onions. This recipe is a keeper. We are 2 for 2 on your recipes Donal! Thank you.

    We just finished making this for dinner with some fresh angel hair and its sooo good. I'm half way through my plate and its absolutely to die for. I cant wait to make this again.

    This is one of my all time favorites sans the cream sauce. I just love it as it is, or with a lemon parsley butter sauce at the max!!

    I didn't add the cream and it tasted great without, don't know if it would have been better with but healthier Server with linguine and salad. loved it

    This was lovely donal! Some more advice about how long it takes for alcohol to reduce would be fab... I'm a novice cook 😂 had a bit of a runny sauce... but omg it was so so tasty :) another fantastic recipe :)

      I don't think it is necessary, but the "breading" will probably cook less even. Maybw just use so much that the complete bottom of the chicken has contact.

      If your oil is at the right temperature, your food won't be greasy, no matter how much oil you use.

      Siggi M the alcohol burns off when cooking so you only get the taste in the background you can’t get drunk from it!!!

    I'm making this today but don't have parmesan so will use a bit of cheddar? i don't have white wine either, interesting to see what it will taste like, hope the kids eat it

    I wonder if I can omit the alcohol from this recipe? Would it be affect the dish significantly? I can't consume alcohol

      You can substitute in some more chicken broth or stock instead 🙂 It won’t be exactly the same but it’ll be good.

      When you cool with alcohol it burns off so you get the flavour which really makes a difference but you don’t actually get the alcohol but obviously if you really can’t consume alcohol at all don’t use it.& no it wouldn’t affect the dish significantly

    Doesn't cooking lemon slices or fresh lemon juice make it bitter? I wonder adding the lemon juice after the wine reduces in the pan sauce.

    I totally save the oil for another time or use pasta, potatoes, rice or bread to soak it up. Or put flour in it to thicken it up then you have a really nice sauce. Lol

    by the time you caramelised the chicken and made the sauce that chicken will be cold. stick it in a preheated oven while you cook the rest
